The best restaurants in Wescott Wokingham South East

Fabulous lunch with friends on Bank Holiday Monday. They have a good menu of Pinchos and Tapas as well as a specials board. All the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is also an excellent choice of drinks including cocktails. Susannah and the team made it a great experience. We will be back ! Highly Recommended !

The online ordering was easy and the menu contained everything we wanted from an Indian takeaway. The food however was very disappointing. The onion bhajees were over cooked dry and seemed to have more batter than onion. The biryani had a strange unfamiliar, unpleasant taste, though the lamb itself was nicely cooked. The chicken tikka was dry and artificial tasting. The roti was partly uncooked and didn’t look like it had ever seen a tandoor. The vegetable dishes were greasy and tasteless and the cauliflower was very over cooked. The peshwari naan was overly sweet. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning.

Went here for the first time for a mother’s day meal with 5 of us, the food was nice, however temperature of food just about acceptable and portions of chips very small. Service was very mediocre, the staff didn’t seem to be communicating with each other, as we were getting asked the same questions by multiple staff members, the service was pretty slow considering how many staff there were standing around, especially later on when it was quiet, they just seemed keen to get away. The plates were taken away after our mains and we were just left for 20mins, no one came to ask us if we wanted puddings or the bill, probably would’ve been longer if we didn’t catch someone’s attention to ask for the bill. Also they had ran out of burgers and other things on the menu by 7pm which was disappointing. Wouldn’t go back.

Been here a few times for both lunch and dinner, and it’s always spot on! Great service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

They do a lovely buffet on a Sunday, but no ac and lack of space when busy isn't great, but food and overall experience are good

I echo the sentiments of the previous reviewer: the new Sunday roast offering is a marked step up as regards tastiness from what was on offer previously. The portions are of a decent size: note that the majority of vegetables are served in a separate dish which can give the impression that the meal portion is smaller than it actually is. A very friendly pub which is worth a visit imho (full disclosure: I am a regular both during the week and, for the sports coverage, on weekends).

Visited for a family birthday meal. Service was very good and clearly a big pull is the cocktail menu. The cocktails were well presented and interesting. But I can’t relate to the other rave reviews about the food. The menu is very limited - basically burgers, mini pizzas or salad for a main course. Starters were a bit more interesting but nothing special and at the top end price wise. In the main indoor area - if you like a noisy atmosphere then you will be fine, but the music made conversation difficult. All in all I’d say distinctly average and the food is definitely not worth going out of your way for.

We offered to collect. We got bbq ribs, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style and mini spring rolls- it was some of the blandest lack lustre food we’ve ever had - wouldn’t get again

Very overpriced small portions for salads . Poor value even allowing how expensive it is to eat out in wokingham. Coffee was OK though

Lazy chef.. I received my tandoori mixed grill for take away and utterly disappointed. Chicken on the bone was fine. But it was covering up very small chunks of something. Burnt and dry chicken or lamb ..I think The advertisement of salad ended up being a small plastic.tide bag of chopped onions . Rubbish !! Very poor and at that price was robbed !! I have mixed grills around the UK and this has no imagination, creative taste .. or effort !

Consistently great food, pleasant staff and a good vibe atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Came in for lunch and was really disappointed. Food was not good, looked like mine had been dropped off the plate and sloshed back on and half way through picking at it I found a long strand of hair at which point I stopped eating. Didn’t bother to complain as had a bad experience recently (not at this restaurant) and didn’t want the confrontation. Restaurant almost empty and now I know why. Won’t be going back.

Good location for your standard Costa. Benefits from a little more space for seating and has consistent foot traffic of takeaways.

Great pub food for a reasonable price, lovely friendly staff and quick service. The beer garden needs a separate smoking area but it very pleasant, someone has done a lot of work out there!

We are regular visitors here and the food is amazing every time. The staff are always attentive and helpful and service is always quick.
