The best restaurants in West Berkshire South East

Always understaffed, always long queues. 2 big machines and just 1 barista. It’s a nice Costa. I use it regularly. But they just can’t be bothered to employ enough staff.

It's a lovely setting and the cafe is big, airy and well staffed so it seems for a Saturday. The food was good. Clearly fresh. The prices though are fairly high for what you are getting. £2.50 for 2 rashers of bacon... normal bacon. Not thick amazing, straight from the butchers bacon either. Perhaps it was a supply issue that day - but it's an awful lot of money for what you receive. £2.00 for one flat mushroom - is also a tad excessive! The cakes are very expensive so we didn't let our children have a slice each as it would have come in just shy of £10.

Staying here for work. Do not book room 105. Noise is unreal people shouting all you can here is the womens toilet hand dryer going all night aswell room 203 much much better why you would have rooms so close to toilets ill never no

Whatever has happened. There used to be an ambience of quality and relaxed comfort here. For some reason the comfortable tables and chairs, in part, have been replaced by awful metal chairs akin to cheap garden furniture. Character lost in a flash and more akin now to a motorway service station. Bring back the original interior designer please!! Hot food not available on the day of our visit and toilets limited due to ISSUES. That is not reflected in this review as these things happen but cant see us rushing back anytime soon.

We’ve been to the farm shop for food several times and sadly it’s gone downhill drastically since our last visit. The food was disappointing and there was very few options for lunch. The lady behind the counter was dismissive and rude, she didn’t even wipe down our table. The toilets were disgusting and need a good clean. My partner ordered a honey and almond roasted Camembert which didn’t come with honey or almonds. The chicken in my sandwich was chewy, looked like left overs and was pink- not what I expect for a £9 sandwich with no side! The place is generally looking run down and looks like it’s going under. We won’t be returning after our experience today.

Gees what a disaster, it was so cold in there. The food was not good and expensive. I had ribs which were covered in bbq gunge so you couldn’t see the meat.

It’s a take away. It was ok. Had better and had worse. Curries a bit watery and lacking in heat ( chilli) but perfectly average

Easily the best takeaway in the area. It used to be the one in Thatcham but this is far superior every time. Food is epic the staff are smart and very polite. I strongly recommend it. Mic.

Un lugar perfecto para mi fiesta de cumpleaños número 40. No teníamos que preocuparnos por ningún aspecto de la planificación o la noche en sí. El evento fue único para mis deseos y el resto fue sin estrés, simplemente lleno de diversión. Recomendaría el Jazz Café a cualquiera.

Stopped by this pub whilst working in the area, decent selection of drinks and reasonably priced, decent atmosphere and showed sport which was a bonus, would return.

After a trip out to Kintbury decided to Google local Toby and quickly booked on line and luckily could get a table. Warm and welcoming staff. Clean restaurant and the Carvery meat all available with all accompanying vegetables hot. Quick service. Left a happy customer. Thanks again.
