I had a wonderful experience at Valle Doro in Newbury. The Italian food was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond by making a room reservation for me, ensuring my visit from Florida was seamless. Highly recommend this place for authentic cuisine and excellent hospitality!

Excellent food and such a friendly service. The menu has a great range of options for vegetarians. We were made to feel very welcome and shall certainly be returning.

The Catherine Wheel has a large choice of real ales on rotation which makes it stand out in Newbury. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are several areas including a side paio with seating.

The most amazing beef musaman curry ever! In a great little restaurant with super friendly service. Loved it!

The food was good and tasty, big place, wasn't too busy on a Saturday lunchtime. Great service, the guy who waited on our table of 9 was fantastic.

I came here late on a Friday with a bunch of (around 30) colleagues from a circus production company. The place only had 1 member of staff serving as they had sent the others home because it was quiet (prior to our arrival). Have to say that the guys serving us dealt with the sudden influx of theatre folk brilliantly. Everyone had an excellent few hours here and the cocktails were ace.

We came at 11:45 and they'd already run out of cheese scones. Went to sit outside and every table was covered in dirty dishes and left over food. There is a sign that says do not feed the birds but the tea shop is actively feeding them as the swans are helping themselves from the tables which could endanger their health. I had to clear and wipe my own table and after I'd used some of the milk I discovered the inside of the jug was dirty

A rare trip to Newbury and looking for somewhere to have a light lunch. I lot to choose from but by chance we came across Weavers and weren't disappointed. From the moment we entered to the time we left we had a great experience. Greeted on arrival by a very friendly waitress we were shown to a table and promptly given menu's. Having made our choices complete with being asked as to condiments, spread etc our meals arrived. An advocado pannini followed by a chocolate shortbread slice for my wife and for me the yummy brocoli and stilton soup followed by a chilli jacket potato - they certainly hit the spot. Couldn't fault the service, the food or the ambience or finally the cost. Well worth the visit and will return again if in Newbury and certainly recommend it to friends.

The food here was not the only amazing thing, the staff were wonderful. I think this is just the best restaurant for steak 🥩 the chicken was also gorgeous. The salad bar and seafood was fresh and delicious. This is probably one of my most favourite restaurants I have ever gone to and I love fine dining. Every cut of meat was tender and delicious and it kept coming while you wanted it, all restaurants should be this friendly and generous.

The staff are rude. I ordered my coffee and it wasn’t what I expected. I asked for it to be made a certain way. Considering I visit almost daily, I was familiar with the staff. One lady who works there knows how to make the coffee the way I like it. When I requested she make my coffee (like she had previously instructed me to do) I got scoffed at. Then the next day I got confronted by another worker ,who was not present, berate me to the point of tears. Ever since, I have had numeral staff be cold or confrontational. This has made me both sad and disappointed. I will not be going back
