The food is really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Hands down, some of the most delicious food I've eaten lately! The staff are very friendly and make the environment even more pleasant. The decor is amazing, it makes me want to be there all day.

As an American, these are seriously the best pancakes I have ever had outside the US. The staff is super friendly, lovely environment, and a great place to dine in Newbury.

I took my dad here for a birthday breakfast beginning of February. Serena was our waitress, she was lovely and friendly. Food was served quickly, and it was delicious! After our food they sang happy birthday whilst bringing a birthday brownie with a candle out! They go above and beyond for special occasions. ⭐

Went to Bill’s on Sunday and had the big brunch and a cappuccino. Both were lovely and the staff were great, food came out quick, overall great. Don’t forget you can get 20% off with Unidays from Sunday to Friday too.

Very nice staff team, service was swift. Food very tasty. Perhaps a little badly laid out and table seemed too low for chair height but still charming enough.

Lovely welcome and very attentive and friendly service. I had the calamari (small plate) which was delicious and the seasonal turkey curry, which was presented beautifully and tasted fabulous. If you have room, I highly recommend the mini doughnuts as well 😀

My fries were missing off my order

I visit often and would highly recommend. However on my last visit I was very poorly after eating the seafood sharer.

Took a long time for our food to arrive, when it arrived they were cold. They were replaced. They are not great, tasteless

Chorizo with chilli honey starter was fabulous. As was the fish pie main. What a relief they've dispensed with the table ordering by QR code which kept us away for a few months! Normal excellent service resumed.

Absolutely stunning beautiful amazing food, but service was very very poor Waitress wasn’t very attentive at all, literally acted as if we were in the way, no dessert menu was offered and no one came to ask if we wnated the bill, just left alone.

Went for brunch, previously had chicken and pancakes and was looking forward to having them again but they have removed them from the menu - so i had bacon pancakes instead which were good but not great. Lighting was brighter so I could actually see which was better than my previous visit. Overall a really good experience.

We have been here twice now, and I can say it's the best Bill's we have been to. Archie who has served us both times we have been here goes above and beyond of what is expected of him. He engages well with the guests, very calm, caring and patient. Furthermore, he has a good memory (my son had lost his toy and he remembered that it had belonged to him the next time we came in) and he always serves with a smile. The food is fresh and delicious. Better than we expected (thanks to the chef). There is plenty of entertainment for the kids (games and toys are on hand in the corner) when waiting for the food. Amazing restaurant all in all.

We had a great meal tonight at Bills! We were greeted by Archie who was very welcoming for both of us and our dog throughout our visit. Food was top quality, and reasonably priced. The service was great, I'd highly recommend.

We came as a family for the unlimited pancakes...which are lovely, but very filling! The staff were friendly and very good at their job, the atmosphere was brilliant inside, but as it was the light switch on it was busy and a good atmosphere outside as well! We will definitely be back as we all enjoyed ourselves.

I ordered pancakes with bacon but received pancakes with fruit 😢

Had never been here before and I was pleasantly amazed. The service was fantastic. They were so busy and fully booked but managed to get us in within half hour. The food was top tier and drinks to accompany. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitley return.

Had a really good meal out with some friends with a few drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the new lounge layout with all QR code ordering makes things very easy and not having to wait for a bill is brilliant. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and the food has never once disappointed. There's a reason I visit on a semi regular basis.

Had brunch in here and it didn't disappoint! I was too hungry and forgot to take pictures though! Paid parking close by 🚙, nice location😊, cosy and comfy inside and the staff are super friendly, helpful and accommodating 😍. My only criticism is that the sourdough toast seems too light to be real fresh sourdough. I might be wrong but I've never had sourdough that's so light! 🤔 😊Highly recommended 😊

Excellent meal and service as always, served by Lily on this visit, she was very friendly and attentive.

Went in without a booked table for coffees and Pudding with my partner and was given the best service by a lovely Lady called Sam, she advised us so well on what to have that our unusual combination of puddings and coffees were absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and we left feeling great. The young Maître d was also very warm and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

Ordered a meal deal. Smashed burger, fries, side of halloumi and a drink. The fries were missing from my order!! And because the bag is sealed upon delivery, I only discovered once I was back in my flat and opened the bag. Disappointed ☹️

Great tasting food and nice selection of drinks. Kids eat a 2x course meal free during school holidays so definitely a win! Nice burgers, good service and a nice place to eat.

Great place to eat, really friendly staff, only issues are no table service and they add service charge to your bill when ordering on the phone...what's the table service charge for without the interaction of them taking your order...?

Usually liked Bills in the past, ordered some Santorini salads and I think in principal it sounded better than what we got. Firstly the portions were MASSIVE. The photo doesn’t really show this but we couldn’t finish it. We got nowhere near to finishing it. If we had known how big it was going to be, we would have shared. I even asked the waiter if anyone has ever finished this salad before and he said no. Chicken that we ordered extra could have been cooked to order instead of dry and refrigerated and the salad was too wet because of the huge amounts of watermelon (they just put HUGE slabs of watermelon in it) I understand that giving people their moneys worth for the salad is important (with extras like the chicken, it was close to £20) but the solution isn’t to give LOADS of salad, it’s to refine it and that would definitely have made it worthwhile- less is more! If you disagree and think the photo I’ve provided looks £20 worth then go for it- but I hoped and expected more.

I took my daughter for pancakes hoping for a lovely place to revisit. The staff were lovely, the surroundings good. The pancakes, however, left a lot to be desired. My bacon and syrup pancakes were poor. The pancakes themselves cooked well but the bacon was barely cooked and the smallest amount of butter used so it was all very dry, even with the syrup. My daughter’s ’fruit’ pancakes similarly dry and the fruit…. Two small halved strawberries, 4 thin slices of banana and 6 blueberries. Hardly generous. Very disappointing!!! £20 not well spent

We only had cheese toasties but no salad garnish, served with a packet of crisps. Have been here before, very enjoyable main course, maybe an off day today.

Amazing vegan breakfast ("The Plant Plate"). Had never had the "Ogg" eggs before; was afraid they'd be too much like chicken eggs. They were light and fluffy and delicious with the Sriracha sauce provided, and not "eggy" at all. Everything else was equally tasty, if more familiar. We both ordered the same thing, and loved every bite. Wish I could give more than 5 stars for the food. Service was fast and friendly. Go there!

Fantastic food, super tasty, and plenty to fill you up. Service was perfect, could not have been any better. The atmosphere was pretty chill, very nice environment to be in.

We dined in as a table of 15 for a birthday party. Archie was absolutely excellent, kept us well looked after and was great. Food was enjoyable as always.

I visited yesterday with my daughter and her bridesmaids-to-be and enjoyed a delicious lunch all served to us by the lovely Caroline, the best waitress you could hope for in every way. She made our visit so enjoyable that we are all now making plans to come again soon. Thank you Caroline, you’re a credit to the restaurant!

Had a brilliant night all to the thanks of Archie. Was only staying for a drink but ended up staying the evening. Archie looked after us so well, entertained us, and thanks to him we enjoyed a great evening of lovely drinks and tasty food. Highly recommend and look out for Archie. He is a legend!

This was strange as I expected cafe so when met with a guy that showed us to a table. A posh concept for a cafe but I have to say say the man was very professional and good at his job as were all of the serving staff. The surroundings were very nice too apart from one family where the children were behaving very badly without parental intervention. Dangerous with hot food and drink around. My problem was with the food, it did not match the rest. I had a breakfast consisting of two eggs ( one was overcooked and the other undercooked to the point where the white was unco ), mushroom which were overcooked and dry ( I suspect they were not very fresh ). I had swapped the Cumberland sausage for extra bacon which was tough and rubbery very much like my one and only attempt to cook it in a microwave. There was a tomato but it was not cooked which is an optional taste I know. The only thing which met expectations was the lightly toasted sourdough bread with real butter. So the food side was the main complaint. One other point is that all of Newbury seems to accept card payments only, coming from an IT security environment, is short sighted and an easy was to force a service charge. To me a service charge is a tip which is dependant service and quality of the food at that single transaction. Did not see any notices advising of each policy till it came time to pay which is, arguably, theft. So thanks to excellent service staff but due to the quality of the food and the way the place is managed I will not return.

We were celebrating my father’s 89th birthday. The staff on arrival were very attentive, the restaurant itself is elegantly and tastefully decorated, with a truly homely feel. We were shown to our table which was perfect for our large family group. The delicious food was served promptly. The staff were aware it was a birthday celebration and suggested for a bit of fun to serve a birthday brownie after our meal with sparklers and candles finishing off a lovely experience. We all agreed staff were faultless
