Just realised whilst sat here that I have been finding excuses to come to Weavers since I was a student- must be 30 years! It’s a great place to sit and relax, with plenty of space and brilliant staff. I am addicted to the egg mayo baguette, which for reasons I can’t explain is the best in the world. Also you can ask for a straightforward coffee, and there is no judgement.

A rare trip to Newbury and looking for somewhere to have a light lunch. I lot to choose from but by chance we came across Weavers and weren't disappointed. From the moment we entered to the time we left we had a great experience. Greeted on arrival by a very friendly waitress we were shown to a table and promptly given menu's. Having made our choices complete with being asked as to condiments, spread etc our meals arrived. An advocado pannini followed by a chocolate shortbread slice for my wife and for me the yummy brocoli and stilton soup followed by a chilli jacket potato - they certainly hit the spot. Couldn't fault the service, the food or the ambience or finally the cost. Well worth the visit and will return again if in Newbury and certainly recommend it to friends.

Discovered accidentally, but we now always visit Weavers when in Newbury, lovely jacket potatoes and very friendly staff. Due to visit today too.

Absolutely perfect little cafe for anyone looking for a quaint little place to have some food. The food is lovley and the staff are brilliant. Vegan and gluten free options are available as well. You can even see them make the food. It's always clean and tidy.

I had my favourite lunch today, salad platter with tuna. It never disappoints. It was very busy but the staff are always very helpful and cheerful. There are many places to eat in Newbury but I always go back here when I'm in town

Very good service, very conivial atmosphere. Remered me from previous visits some time ago. Even if the food required is not exactly on the menu, they do their best to accomodate.

Love family atmosphere and coronation chicken is A M A Z I N G so much so we take some home with us

Have been here a handful of times and each time had a lovely experience. the staff are wonderful and really make it. Food and drinks have always been fab too!

We use this coffee shop on a regular basis and I occasionally bring my three young children, the staff are fantastic and very patient with them . The owners of the business takes take hands on roles , I couldn’t praise them any higher. They play an active role in the community and the food is very delicious and reasonably priced .

Always amazing food served with a smile, we love it here. My favourite is the chicken tikka with salad baguette. Delicious!

Unfamiliar with Newbury; but glad I randomly chose this cute cafe down a side alley in which to have my morning caffeine fix and sugar hit. They served me an outstanding, rich Americano and a lush, moist, generous slice of courgette-and-avocado cake. I don't like courgettes or avocado; but I don't like carrots either and love carrot cake. So I guessed this would be like carrot cake and it was! Live the paradox, as someone wrote. Excellent staff in this cafe and plenty of them. Table waitress spot on.

Escellent service, very good value. (they even have newspapers to read) Very pleasant staff, who understand customers, especially ones that have visiited before.

This little gem, down an old passageway in Newbury, is well worth the visit. This is an old fashioned family restaurant with table service so no queuing. The prices are very reasonable, you pay your bill at the end and gratuity is not added automatically to the bill.

My partner & i didnt leave a review at the time, despite a bad experience, we were there in (September.) It took watching a Gordon Ramsay 'Hells Kitchen' episode to put perspective on it and remind us we shouldnt let dodgy things slide. Owner was friendly and came out to speak to us during lunch. I ordered a Chicken/Bacon/Cheese Panini. After part eating I found a hair underneath the salad side (not on top but underneath the salad pile which means it was there on the plate before salad was put on.) I showed the owner, was polte about this at the time though in retrospect i realised that any restaurant that has taken money in advance likely wont be receptive to taking on board criticism as they already have your cash. If folks are ok eating in a place that serves human hair with your food thats your business, i wont go there again, also my advice avoid eateries that take your money in advance, proper restaurants like Miller & Carter, Bills etc dont need to take your money in advance because the food sells itself. Not good.

Went for brunch. Soup out of microwave. Small breakfast was small! Quite expensive for what we had. Lots of staff. Seemed bit chaotic. Staff friendly .

The flexible menu offers a wide range of combinations of fillings in your baguette, etc. You can just have one - or add one or two more without the price soaring. We each had a baked potato, which was delicious. The right balance was struck between being served up reasonably quickly and being properly cooked. Staff were efficient and most amiable.

We regularly visit Weaver's Walk for lunch. The food is always excellent and fresh. We usually have baguettes or paninis but in the past have had soup and jacket potatoes. Friendly and prompt service even when it is busy. Highly recommended!

Always a delight having brunch at Weavers. Such a friendly family business, very welcoming, very obliging and attentive. Us 4 regulars would have given it a 6 star rating but Tripadvisor only run to 5 See you guys next time we visit Newbury 😃

We were looking for an independent cafe for a light lunch and wholeheartedly give it 5/5. The brocolli and Stilton soup was delicious, the place was clean and staff friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.

Stopped in for lunch while in town. Had coffee, tea, baguettes and toastie. All very lovely. Would recommend anyone to go along. Well priced and easy to choose from the menu. Waiter and waitress were lovely.

This traditional café is a lovely place for a snack. A fairly extensive menu and very reasonable prices. Staff are pleasant and there is no loud music to disturb your conversation. I would recommend a warm apple strudel. Delicious

We saw the sign down the walk/alley and were so please we chose to have our lunch here. Friendly staff, quirly cafe, delicious food (the brie and cranberry paninis, yum).Given that much else in the streets of Newbury felt run down and grim (and so many shops closed, including - sob - John Lewis, this felt like an oasis.

Visit to dentist on rainy day in Newbury. Called for lunch at M&S - put off by large queue and went round the corner to Weavers. Pot luck - no idea and it was a real treat. Pleasant facility,nice atmosphere , excellent service and outstanding food. Lovely independent cafe in Newbury town centre. Great choice of food, reasonably priced, friendly staff and very family friendly. I used to come here with my children for lunch nearly every week until they started school. We visited for lunch last week, sat upstairs with plenty of room and had a lovely meal. Highly recommended!

Having been a regular customer free baguettes a million years ago, I had forgotten this little family run business was still here.My children live for their hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows on a Saturday morning.Contacted the cafe on FB late on Friday night to enquire if they do hot chocolate to receive a response immediately, which really impressed me.The place is deceptive, quaint but full of friendly staff and a variety of food to please most people.Jacket potatoes with different filings, all day breakfast, baguettes and cakesThe hot chocolates hit the spot and got the thumbs up... will definitely be back

This was my first visit to Newbury and I had lunch there on Saturday. The young staff were very friendly and helpful. Wide range of food available at good prices. I was even given the option of sampling the three different soups on offer before ordering.

I have been going to this weavers walk coffee shop for about 20 years. The service is always good and the food is tasty. The owners even once held my little girl so I could eat my lunch.

Every time I visit Newbury I visit Weavers for lunch and after shopping have tea/coffee with friends The food is always very fresh and tasty but today Wednesday 6th, I discovered and was more than happy to be served with a Gluten free panini and a delicious gluten free cake... Friendly and fun staff... a very enjoyable visit and will be back again.

I eat and have their food and coffee at Weavers every time I visit Newbury. The food is fresh, delicious and they have a wide choice, nothing is too much trouble for them. No rush like other places to leave. Very clean and I feel personally, as though it is a home to home place to eat and drink. Not forgetting the good quality food and home produce is value for money.

I'm not local but I always have lunch here when I'm in town (their salad platter is lush). The staff are so very friendly and the food is delicious. Not pretentious - just good honest healthy hearty food. The cafe is clean and bright and I highly recommend it

Have eaten here many times as I live in the area. I always eat my favourite Brie and Cranberry Baguette but they have a wide range and very competitively priced. Staff are friendly and the place is very clean. Very busy during school holidays but I can avoid those times. My family also enjoy the service and choices.

Stopped here for a quick lunch as we were working in Newbury. Rude staff to start with, that were anything but helpful!! I ordered a jacket potato with chicken, which was brought to the table after apparently being cooked within in 2 mins??? More like a flat potato covered in chicken sandwich filler I wouldn't have given it to my dog. Pizza was also ordered and when it appeared, it was a small skinny slice of flat baguette with a bit of tomato puree on top and cheese. It had been clearly microwaved as the cheese was runny and greasy and the bread part chewy. Very disappointing all ways round, and wont be back again.

Had a lovely salad here with Prawns. Funny enough I had asked for avocado too but I didn’t get it. My daughter had a small panini with Brie and cranberry which she said was nice.

Was suggested by a friend in Oxford. Delightful and inventive without being challenging. Especially lovely was their eggy bread using whole grain slices, delicious thin sliced fresh figs, fresh berries, a delicious drizzle, and plated to perfection. Also many options including a veggie and vegan assortment... rich coffee to boot. A winner set in a delightful indoor outdoor setting with a huge palm tree!

Was at Weavers this morning for breakfast. There was a choice of cooked breakfast or many, many other options. We had the Brie and Bacon Toastie which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The guy running the place was very friendly and seems to do everything right for a successful business - good food, good value and good environment. We would recommend Weavers!
