In Newbury you're spoilt for choice with so many restaurants but this is definitely one of my favourites. The food is delicious the staff attentive, helpful & nothing is too much trouble. If you want something left out of a dish or you're vegan they will happily change it for you. Lovely place with great staff. 👍

I had a meal at this restaurant last night with a friend prior to going to The Watermill Theatre. We both had dishes from the ‘Specials’ board - my friend had sea bass with mussels and leaks and I had Sicilian chicken which was two large chicken breasts on a bed of mushrooms and potatoes with a marsala sauce. Both were lovely. We were tempted by the dessert menu and these were again great. My pistachio tiramisu was excellent. My friend remarked that even the wine ( a glass of Trebbiano) was really nice. The staff were friendly and attentive helping us with information on the dishes. They even phoned for a taxi to take us to the theatre. I have already recommended this restaurant to someone today and plan to return.

Went for dinner this evening. The food was amazing and service was fantastic! My friend is celiac and they were so accommodating with pointing out foods on the menu as well as with the wine menu. The specials were phenomenal particularly the ravioli and the pistachio tiramisu.

A wonderful meal, mussels, fettuccine and affogato. Couldn’t fault the food or the service despite the restaurant being busy.We will return.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Mio Fiore last night and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed the best calzone pizza of my life – perfectly baked, with flavors that were nothing short of spectacular. What made the evening even more special was their unique hot cocktail, a creation that I can only describe as a masterpiece. It was warming, full of flavor, and the perfect companion to the meal. Do not dream of going Zizzi's when an independent like this exists. Could not recommend the place enough. Went at a quiet time but there was 9 of us and everything just everything was exactly as you would want from a restaurant.

Lovely ambience. The service was great too. But the highlight was the food. We had mostly pasta and my youngest had a pizza from the kids menu. It was also perfectly cooked and the flavours were great.

We enjoyed a Birthday celebration here. Nice location and atmosphere in the restaurant. The food and drink was superb. We were upstairs which overlooks the rest of the restaurant which was also nice.

We were in Newbury for an event and chose Mio Fiore for its location and cuisine. It was one of the best meals out we have had. Lovely Fettucine Calabrese followed by an amazing Pistachio Tiramisu. Attentive and sensitive service. Highly recommended.

Proper Authentic Italian in Newbury! Great Tiramisu!

Staff were fantastic. Friendly, making recommendations on the menu, and interacting with our group. Food was great taste and quality. Our group ordered all the starters to share and everyone liked them. My main was the steak and they nailed medium rare. Highly recommend.

So a night out to celebrate a small occasion. Lovely atmosphere, my husband and I both decided on the “specials board” He had the lamb chops with buttery mash potato with a tasty gravy and I had the grilled hake set in a bed of mussels done in a creamy white wine and garlic sauce. Both were really good. We shared a burrata mozzarella on a bed of fresh rocket and fresh ripe figs. Overall, the food was great and the service top notch. And to top it all…. The pannecotta was perfectly wobbly and the cheese cake was silky…. Both served with a fresh berry coulis Overall nothing to fault “We will be back” Well done

Nice food , friendly staff job done

We went here about 6 years ago and enjoyed it. We hadn’t booked and arrived just after 18.00, they had a lot of bookings but managed to fit 4 of us in. Excellent food and a great atmosphere. We won’t leave it so long before returning.

Decided to book Mia Fiore for a Saturday evening out to catch up with old friends. So glad we did! We were greeted warmly and our first impression was how fresh and smart the decor was - looked great. Service was good from start to finish despite how busy the place was. Sometimes when a restaurant is full it can be difficult to make/hear conversations who have much to catch up on - but the atmosphere while buzzing was not overpowering. The menu was more varied than we were expecting and while I really enjoyed the Pollo e Limone, we all had something different. An unexpected treasure - we will be back!

My wife and i paid a visit to Mio Fiore on Saturday evening 21st September. We had a lovely meal and although the restaurant was busy, the service was pretty quick. I couldn't help noticing the fresh coat of paint and new lights on the tables.... definitely worth a visit....

We were celebrating my daughters 26th birthday and we've been to Mio Fiore a few times and enjoyed it however we were very disappointed on this occasion. Service was very slow, the food generally was nice albeit one dish which was dire. A sign outside said "Staff Required" and quite obviously they were struggling and we were very understanding and polite, however they weren't coping with the customers they had yet still inviting people through the door who hadn't booked. It was disappointing but I get that acquiring staff these days is not an easy task. In this situation monitor your bookings and only accept numbers you can cope with. The staff were stressed and looked stressed and behaved stressed! It was very sad to see. This is not a complaint. I just think it needs better staff /service management. Maybe accept less bookings until your staff levels are suitable. I understand this means less turnover but if people get a bad experience they probably won't return. We were compensated and the Manager apologised profusely. We just felt disappointed and sad for the staff as working under these conditions is never nice. However, I do understand the problem with getting staff.

Seemed more interested in taking their time serving to upsell the drinks. Nearly 2 hours for mains to arrive, waiter did not know which calzone was which and left us to find out and no garnish at all just an oval calzone on a large round white plate (simple leaves and dressing would have been something considering the price tag), lights kept flickering up and down. Was really looking forward to it but sorry maybe you had an off night…
