Lovely place to spend dinner, super polite and helpful staff, food little bit pricy but amazing, the place is very clean and tidy, very cozy. The only thing is it gets pretty loud during weekends.

My friends and I come here often and the service is always spectacular. The food is tasty and the staff are phenomenally helpful and friendly without fail. The restaurant itself always has a great atmosphere and always feels welcoming. I highly recommend visiting. My friends and I shall continue to for the foreseeable!

Service was incredibly attentive but not the slightest bit obtrusive. What we needed was there before we knew we needed it...even with the requests of our toddler. Food is a delightful ode to Italian staples. Wine list is succinct because it's highly curated. Exactly how it should be. Our borolo enlivened the whole experience. Atmosphere isn't offensively Italian or quintessentially British. It's cosy and quaint in it's own way. It makes the most of the space to deliver a pleasant evening. Do yourself a favour and enjoy this gem.

Exceptional service, very attentive friendly staff. All the food was delicious, would recommend the prawns for starter and carbonara for main. The tiramisu was very light and delicious too. Well worth a visit.

12 of us visited after the races on Saturday table was not ready, Damian gave us a complimentary drink whilst we waited which was most appreciated, the food and service was excellent the live singer was good the atmosphere in the restaurant was good, I don’t often give 5 stars but was more than merited on this occasion, we will be booking again for next year.

Amazing atmosphere with Live music. You can't beat it. The specials 😍 crab ravioli is a must 😋 we can't wait to be back again soon.

Have been here on multiple occasions, always amazing food and a lovely atmosphere. My favourite is always the bruschetta and the spinach tortellini. Can't wait for the next chance I can come back.

Lovely little place in Newbury with excellent tiramisu and friendly staff.

Have always loved this restaurant, but meals and portions were not as good as last time. My son ordered the special mushroom risotto as a main and it literally cotained about 2 tablespoons of risotto in it. He was left hungry. The pizzas were better value and I enjoyed the crab ravioli.

Wonderful evening spent with family A really nice classy atmosphere with a good vibe, busy and bustling but not too loud or hectic. A really nice balance. The food was delicious, we shared pastas and pizzas and some dessert and everyone really enjoyed their meal The staff were great and were very accommodating of some of our fussy eating and polite requests to change dishes. Delicious food and will definitely be back. Our server, Luke was really lovely and made our evening! Thank you

A nice evening dinner for a group of us. It gets a little hot upstairs with the pizza oven blasting away. Very nice food, some portions are big and some very small. Only one type of beer, which is a bit expensive. Overall we had a good time. Well recommended

Lovely restaurant with friendly staff, more important though is everything is cooked fresh (not like several other high street restaurants), and is very tasty.

The food at Mio Fiore is always excellent. I'm usually with my family and we have a combination of pizza, pasta, and other food. Specials are always excellent too, and the staff are as friendly and helpful as could be. If you're on the look out for fantastic Italian food in Newbury and don't want to go to a chain restaurant, Mio Fiore is where you need to go!

Went for a birthday celebration. Been before a couple of years ago. Disappointing this time. Booked early but given a table in a tight corner of the restaurant where tables had clearly been squeezed in. Meal was very average. Quality poor and portions for main meal equivalent to a starter. Appreciate costs of running a restaurant have gone up but meal was expensive for what it was. Service was very good. Been spoilt I think with our favourite Italian , Casa Nostra in Sutton.

Never let's you down. Excellent and delicious food. You just can't beat it if you like Italian food. Informal and yet on it in terms of service. Lovely venue too. What more could you ask for? Oh yes - value for money. It's got that too 😉

We’ve been to Mio Fiore a number of times and it’s a firm favourite! Never had a bad experience, be it the food, the staff or the atmosphere. Value for money cannot be argued. Will continue to be regular visitors and bring non-Newbury folk to experience it too. Cannot recommend more

I’ve been living in Italy for years and fall in love with the country but especially the food. Five years ago when I discovered Mio Fiore I felt so lucky because is literally a piece of Italy. The food, music, the wines they have are amazing🥰If you want quality food and the most cozy atmosphere you can get you should definitely choose Mio Fiore. Me & my friend went here for the first time for a catch up on a Friday night. It has a lovely atmosphere and the food was great! Definitely will be returning!

This is a fantastic restaurant for a special meal, unlike anywhere else I have been locally, it almost feels like you are abroad - the warmth, atmosphere, staff zooming about talking Italian - it does make a difference. The food is superb authentic quite rich Italian, the wine good - I could almost believe I'm on holiday here, and I don't get that vibe in the other quiet chains, pubs, ex-chains and so on locally. Until the bill arrives anyway - its not pricey for what it is, but not Italian pricing either. Worth it for a special occasion, all my meals here have been special and I can remember specifics of wine and dishes from years ago - a good sign....

My Italian to go to. Never had a bad experience, their food is amazing, not just when it comes to pasta & pizza but the steaks, chicken, fish dishes and their specials board.

Been here many times in the past and raved about it. Returned after a couple of years and really disappointed. The food was good ( not outstanding) but it is VERY expensive now. Could live with that but the portion sizes have reduced by half!! Talk about shrinkflation! The waiter just smiled when it was mentioned twice! Wouldn't return sadly, as there are much better places to eat at a third less off the bill!!

Superb pizzas! Best I've had for many years. The restaurant is a little tricky to find if you're not a local as slightly hidden away off the main road. But well worth a visit, wine was good too!

Absolutely the best Italian I’ve had for a while and definitely the best in Newbury and Thatcham area! Service is great, you can really see the passion in Damian and his Team, amazing wine knowledge, spot on menu recommendations, delicious food and beautiful setting. Highly recommend!

Lovely venue for a quiet meal for two or groups. Menu was varied without being too extensive, wine choices were excellent and reasonably priced. All the staff were attentive and friendly. Little things like not having a bottle of water foisted upon you at a cost, when the table water was offered first. I like that, doesn’t feel they are trying to absorb maximum value from your visit. Our meal for two was just over 90 sovs with a premium wine choice and starters.

I definitely recommend having dinner at Mio Fiore. It is clean and tidy. All employees are kind and helpful. The pizzas were delicious. There is a kid menu as well and they are very kid-friendly. I will go there again and again.

Been here twice, the food is really good. An Italian colleague confirmed. They get one star lower because the cheese platter was reduced this time, not as much as the cheese that it had last time 😂

Been to Mio Fiore many times and always had great food and good service. Took friends on Saturday for dinner. Apertivo drinks and shared starter was good. Main courses very slow service which was blamed on a large table of guest - really an issue for the restaurant and chefs not my guests. Seafood pasta was disappointing with little seafood, pollo e limone dry at the edges and the Insalate di pollo the aubergine was tough and rubbery. Asked was our meals satisfactory but our comments ignored by the waitress. We had a dessert then asked for the bill and asked again about our meals and gave the same feed back. The waiter took off 12.95 off a bill for 140.00 but charged a service charge of 10 % ! The highlight was being able to try a little of the white wine before ordering a bottle but the rest of the main courses was very disappointing. Really need to try harder and look after paying guests as the experience was a negative one.

We were very warmly welcomed by the owner and all the staff there. Our food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. We chatted to the owner in Italian and he told us all about the restaurant. We will definitely be going back for more x

Truly Authentic Italian. Very warm and welcoming staff, accommodated our 12 member party, as we crashed here straight after a day long trek, very aromatic and flavour-full food. Kids loved the Spaghetti Arabiata, Fetuccine al Funghi, and Paradiso Pizza. Awesome Ravioli. Must try their Tiramisu

Went out for pasta. Would prefer pasta carbonara from an Italian restaurant, but they do not serve carbonara 🤔 Ordered some starters which was very tasty. The focaccia with mozzarella cheese, calamari, and prawns in tomato sauce was also delicious Then, had the seafood linguine and mushroom pasta. Everything was delicious I wish they did carbonara though 🙄

It is an excellent restaurant, serving great tasty Italian food and wine. Good and quick service. The toilet is a bit let down, but apart from this I had a good overall experience of having dinner there with my friends.

The manager was very abrasive. Food poor. Not a relaxing atmosphere. Service poor. Won't be visiting again. Very disappointing as Newbury restaurant is so different.

It was probably 4th time we had dinner in Mio Fiore in Hungerford and it was consistently very good food and good service. I ordered a special dish of the day, it was spaghetti with prawns and courgette and my husband had spaghetti alla puttanesca, both of dishes were delicious and bruschetta for starter was very tasty! Definitely would eat there again and highly recommend to others.

A disappointing evening after being recommended this restaurant for the last few months. We were a party of 6 and it was a bit calamitous throughout. First of all, we got there and with the first drink order there was a bottle smashed on the floor next to our table (nobody got wet, mistakes happen, no drama). Then starters came up, which were lovely but a bit samey. The prawns, mussels and Calamari were all in pretty much the same sauce and I kind of felt like it could either do with a spoon or another piece of bread to mop up the sauce. The second course came up, minus one persons steak which took about 10-15 minutes to arrive as the waitress had forgot to order it. I had the prawn spaghetti special which was lovely but I’m rubbish at eating spaghetti and could have done with a spoon, so help twirl it onto the fork. It wasn’t a big deal but would expect that to come naturally with a pasta dish. It feels a bit cafe like to me, to be using just a fork. One of our pizzas were also a bit too well done underneath. We like a bit of blackness from the Woodford but this was a lot. It also took a good 15-20 minutes for our plates to be cleared. The waitresses all seemed more interested in making the tables for the next days dining, rather than concentrate on the current surroundings. For desert we had 3 melt in the middle chocolate puddings which all came out without ice cream, so it seems there was a lack of quality control between the kitchen and waitresses. Eventually they got added. The tiramisu of mine was lovely. The bill then came up and despite all the problems. Nothing was offered or taken off the bill and the full service charge was automatically added. We did ask to have the service charge cut in half which they did, so it was more a 5% tip. We are not the kind of people to normally do this but felt it was justified and the meal in total came to nearly 3 hours. Most of the problems were relatively small but clustered together, it was too much and they never seemed to have control over the kitchen or the dining room. The people I was with had been numerous times before and love it. They said it was the worse they have known it. I dare say they will return and I’m sure I will but I’d rather try other places first.

We had previously visited their restaurant in Hungerford and were welcomed by the the owner and enjoyed a lovely meal. Tonight we returned to Hungerford and found out the owner was cooking in the kitchen. The front of house welcome was lacking and the meal was good but you need the owner out welcoming people. The whole ambience has changed. The food was good but something was lacking. It’s a shame because our first experience was good but our second visit was lacklustre.

Again a fantastic evening the specials are so super special! Gnocchi special so tasty but had to leave room for the shared superb cheeseboard. Feels like family such a warm welcome I be back!

We were a party of 12 celebrating, so plenty of laughter and loud chat as expected. Food was wonderful and the waiting staff were lovely and attentive. However, the shine was taken off the evening by a very rude elderly woman clapping as we left because we were loud for her. I politely suggest you warn customers there is a large party in or don't accept such a booking.

So good, I loved the food it was amazing, lovely people and I didn't feel rushed as there were nice size gaps between courses. Would deffo go back
