Didn’t know what the meaning of life was until I visited Zizzi Newbury and met Tom - life changing experience

Tom at Zizzi Newbury was a highly entertaining host - recommended for a fun evening!

Bosh! New year's dinner here off the charts. Cheap as shit but good food which is rare as a speckled hen these days. Tom made it extra special by stacking up 20 plates and riding a circus tricycle back to the kitchen. Back tomorrow, if I can walk further than 5 meters.

The food was great, the wine went down well and all for a most reasonable price. As an aside Tom is hands down the most attentive, talented and downright best waiter in Newbury and I will definitely be coming back. Happy New Year!!!

Very mediocre restaurant. Maybe good for big parties but always way too loud in there. Saying that, i requested a table at the side near a wall and they faciliated that as I have trouble hearing, so i really do appreciate that!! . Our food was OK but glad we had a voucher as I don't feel the prices are right. The limoncello spritz tasted more like lemonade than limoncello. A few ladies who were seated after us on the next table and still waiting for their friend, got their drinks orders taken before ours which was a little annoying as we had waited a while. It was a busy night so the staff could be forgiven for not knowing who had been to what tables to take orders.

Went in at 3pm, we were the only ones in there however Ellena made us feel very welcome, and despite being so quiet she gave the place the atmosphere it would otherwise be lacking. She could talk all about the food we ordered, was friendly but non invasive. We've come to this zizzis before but by far our best experience. Hope zizzis appreciates staff like Ellena because we sure did.

Disappointing visit. Inattentive staff, incorrect dishes served, corrections made by just plonking cold ingredients on the incorrect dish. No enquiries as to wanting additional drinks or desserts. Ending up ordering through the app just to hurry things along. Won't be back.

My daughter and I have been waiting to try Zizzi for a long time and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the food and drink amazing. We especially loved the morello cherry refresher and the crispy prosciutto carbonara. The toilets were also excellent. We'll definitely be back. Thank you

It's Zizi like every other Zizi. Although, on this very busy Sunday/ Market day lunch time, the staff did very well to keep it together, clearly under staffed on this day. Well done staff, shame on you Zizi. And Newbury prices are London prices.

Special thanks to Grace and Ellena for such incredible service...nothing seemed too much for them! 100% recommend especially as it was such a busy night and the food came out in great time, quality amazing and service consistent throughout. Tom has been a delight and super accommodating checking that my food was all fine for my pregnancy.

If the restaurant is too busy to make the dishes correctly they shouldn't be taking orders on Just eat. Forked out £30 for some pasta with the tiniest dollop of sauce I've ever seen. Would have been laughable if it wasn't so expensive. If I wanted to eat dry oily pasta I would have gone downstairs and made it myself. Free garlic bread is great but I'd rather have had the dish I paid for.
