Thursday night impromptu meal out - promoted by Zizzi 25th birthday leading to £25 off. Food was delicious & service by Dari’s excellent. Zizzi’s remains our go-to restaurant in Newbury x

Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere, offered a choice of tables. Food was quickly, maybe a bit too quick.

Great food but the staff all looked like they wished they were somewhere else.

The welcome was friendly the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and advised us well the wines were good and served quickly as was the food beasue we were in a bit of a rush before the theatre... The 'fondue' was delicious and the calzone was nicely spiced with plenty of different meats. The carbonara was tasty but the parmesan crisp was both crisp and chewy but still tasty.. We were agreeably surprised and will definitely come again and recommend to friends and family..

Very nice waygu rustica pizza , Worth the money

I visited Zizzi’s in Newbury today and the service and food was awful. There was a hair on my starter and was also plated with Coco Di Mama packing even though we were sat in a Zizzi. It took another 10 minutes for a replacement starter to come out and my family had already finished theirs. One minute later , while i was still eating the server carried out our mains, asking if we were ready. It was clear i was still eating so we said no. It then took a further 20 minutes of our food sat out before they brought it back over. The service was slow and many of my drink orders were forgotten. The girl was friendly but it didn’t make up for the hair and also the slow and luke warm food. I’m never visiting again. Extremely disappointed.

Staff are super friendly and service times are very quick. Would definitely recommend!!!

A really good Zizzi, with friendly staff and well prepared food. The only negative is an ear piercing alarm that goes off every few minutes - it's really quite unpleasant and for me at least needs fingers in the ears.

The chocolate melt was so delicious and the service was so fast!

Not outstanding but satisfactory. Only five prawns in the dish I had.

We went for a family meal at Zizzi in Newbury and were very impressed by the food and the service. It’s a well situated venue in there Market Place in Newbury, the decor is classy and plenty of comfy seats. The service was fast and friendly and it has a large and varied Italian menu. I was very impressed with my cheesy bread starter and my Dads prawns were incredibly well presented on a floating skewer. My pizza main was delicious and my whole family enjoyed their meal. My dessert was absolutely amazing, the dark chocolate fondant melt in the middle ball was so rich, one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. There is a lot of competition for restaurants in Newbury, a really big selection, but Zizzi in Newbury shouldn’t have a problem if they keep on doing what they are doing, highly recommend

Our team from work enjoyed our Christmas 🎄 celebration at this new location for the restaurant chain. The three course 🍽 dinner was pre-booked and each of us could choose from their online system, which was really easy to use. The restaurant looked typically good, as expected for this chain, and included an autumn trees theme. The food was terrific, as were the 🍸 cocktails. Friendly staff got all dishes out to each of us in our party of 14 in good time. Great to have a Zizzi now in Newbury Market square!

An okay evening but when you’re sat by the door and have delivery men in and out with their food bags on the floor next to you, it just takes away any atmosphere. I’ve had more relaxing dining experiences at McDonalds.

Visited Zizzi on a Tuesday night and was surprised to see it was busy which made for a nice atmosphere. I ordered from the specials menu which was 3 courses for 24.00, real value for money. These were dishes from the main menu and lots of choice between starters, mains and desserts. I had Tiger prawns to start, ravioli for main and tiramsu for dessert. I could not fault the food it was delicious. My friend said his was the best pizza he'd had. The service was attentive and excellent. I'm definitely going back when i visit Newbury and already searching to see where the nearest one is to where I live.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere, disappointed with the food as ragu pasta (GF) was overcooked and too little sauce = dry. Choc pudding could have been heated more but was tasty :)

Great meal, the place was busy but food came quick and was hot. We even had a miss ordered item and the corrected very quickly…. Definitely worth a visit!!!!

Lovely Restaurant, lunch was delicious. Manager Carla so polite and friendly even though we are a pain with having Allergys. Will be back soon

My chicken Milanese had really really hard "rainbow" carrots. My chips were dry, you honestly get better in McDonalds. The tomatoe relish was just as if tin tomatoes had been opened and put in a dish, the chicken was okish but not enjoyable. The service charge was added on without our knowledge, and really they were just doing their job, nothing special. Will not be going there again, the other 7 people in my group also feel this way..

We just had dinner in this amazing italian restaurant and i read wrong the menu so i got something that i didn't like, and they changed for another plate so quickly and without fuss. really grateful to our waitress Carla.

A relative newcomer to Newbury but always busy with a great atmosphere, extensive menu, and really helpful attentive staff Ishwor was quite exceptional

We went on a Friday night at 7pm but had run out of garlic bread ? Expensive and smallish portions the waitress was good but embarrassed having to constantly deal with garlic bread questions ! Food was good but small portions felt like we didn't get value for money

This restaurant seems to be getting worse with every visit, went for Lucy today… we’re were seated then rushed to place our order… drinks took 20min to arrive (2 drinks) followed swiftly by the food which (chicken) was dry and tasteless, I asked for ketchup for my sons chips 3 times and it never arrived. We were then rushed to pay the bill. This is the 3rd time visiting this branch since it opened and the food and service is getting progressively worse …. And to add the restaurant was relatively empty…. Never again

Greeted by a miserable, ignorant a hole.Led to our table, offered no drinks. Waited a reasonable time, and walked out. Too busy sorting out Uber drivers etc

Visited recently, for a Father's Day meal with my daughters - friendly service and great food.

Been here a few times, food is always brilliant and isn't too pricey.

Unfortunately not a very good experience. The food was good but the service was.. poor. We went for lunch and it wasn't busy at all. However we were there for 2 hours. It took them 15m to take our drinks order. When we finished our meal, again took them 25m to take desserts orders, and after this I almost requested the bill without the having desserts as the waiting was getting on my nerves. The staff was friendly but the lack of hospitality experience was easily spotted. There was enough staff, so this is not the case of understaff but just lack of experience. There was a manager that did not seem to handle his staff well. it's a shame, as the place has a very good atmosphere.

An adult and child turned down on Sunday at 3:30pm due to being fully booked. Lots of free tables in and outside, we wanted one outside but ended up going to Bills directly opposite. This was clearly due to lack of staff as we could see that they were only getting emptier rather than ‘full’ due to bookings as we were told. Shame as we like the food but the service was a let down.

We visited Zizi’s on Wednesday evening this week, very much a last minute decision, and I’m so pleased we did. Great service from the outset very welcoming, we ordered from the 3 course menu at a set price which was good value. All the food we ate was delicious and well presented and the portion sizes were good as well. Highly recommend to everyone. Thank you, just wish I had got our waiters name he was brilliant. We will be back.

Fine food but expensive for the amount of food you get. Watch out for the service charge! I'm sure you used to get to add a tip when you paid before and you got to choose the amount. Now a service charge is automatically added and you have to ask to have it removed.

Big name, big menu, big flash packaging on arrival of order, but food was cold. Not much else to say.

We had such a lovely welcome from the guy at the front of house. We were seated at our pre-booked table which was laid out nicely and ready for us. The waiter was nice but there was a little something missing in terms of interaction, time to take order etc. I think it's always nice when the waiting staff come to check if everything is OK or if you need anything else which did happen but when we needed something else it was difficult to get anyone's attention. The food was lovely and as you'd expect from a chain but it was well cooked and well presented. Overall a lovely experience and would recommend. 🙂

Good food with consistently good quality run by friendly staff, and an easy recommendation for anyone visiting the area.

Came here for a meal with my wife. In short, the food was excellent but took a while between courses. I would give 4½ if I could. I feel compelled to mention my main course. I had the chicken calabrese, and it was absolutely amazing. It made the very decent spag bol my wife ordered seem absolutely pedestrian in comparison. The other courses were also very good. Prices were about what you'd expect for a high street chain. That's to say if you have 3 courses for a couple, it comes to around 70 quid.

The decor is lovely and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very nice and polite. Affordable prices and menu option is amazing. Waiter checked up on us a couple of times, given us free sides while we wait. Have re booked with a bigger group.

Delicious pizzas and friendly staff

Our first time coming to zizzi in Newbury as we are looking to move here, been to zizzi plenty of time in Birmingham and London. But it was our first experience in Newbury. The place was empty with only 3 tables occupied. They refused to seat us, 2 adults, one child and one baby. I'm not sure if this is usually the case but they said we can't get a table unless we've got a reservation. Since when did you need a reservation for zizzi? Never thought it was that kind of place ... It was empty. It was 12pm. I pointed out it was empty, are all the tables reserved ?? The lady said yes. So we left and went to pizza Express next to it, which was BUSY but we easily got a table and the service there was really great. We then went past zizzi on our way back to the car and it was still quite empty, with a few random people sitting there, and I really doubt they made reservations to be at zizzi. We are Asians and as much as I don't want to play the racial card, I think it was quite clear they didn't want us there because of our race. So yes, they were clearly racist. Maybe this particular zizzi required booking, but they could easily have accommodated us as it can't have been booked to the brim and it clearly wasn't.

Enjoyed our meal but sadly my partners choices were taken off the menu, which disappointed him. Service was good though.

Very rude staff. Around 20 tables free at 2pm but wouldn’t serve us, stating the restaurant is full. Ridiculous.

Came here with high expectations, took an age to get the starters the main meals they never even cooked some of the food, this it was taken off the bill, crispy calamari was limp, unfortunately if was not even half full, so no excuses

Looks cheap compared to other premium brands. It doesn’t have enough toppings for my guest to share. I thought I was ordering a premium pizza but it’s was way below par. I won’t order from Zizzi again

The food is nice but the portions are child sized. I’ve had both takeaway and dined in now and it’s not really worth the money

The meal is very delicious. The pizza was on point, if you want any calamari to takeaway or have in it’s the perfect place. The calamari was so crunchy and crispy. The servers are wonderful, you have two options on how to order, through the QR code being provided if you want to have the least interaction or through the server.

I went to Zizzi the other day with my family, our waitress Karema was amazing she came across really well and gave us the time to choose as we were unsure on what to get. The restaurant was busy but all the staff look like they know what they are doing, I would personally book before going. A lovely place would definitely recommend, kid friendly too!!
