Good service and food, if which there was plenty.

They were not prepared to serve a pudding and did not have gelato or swap out the smooth peanut butter for crunchy really disappointing.

Tomato bruschetta: served with rocket, parmesan and balsamic vinegar. Very good tomato. Weak point is the parmesan (not amazing). Margherita pizza: really good. Super dough and cooking, delicious tomato and basil, the mozzarella can be improved (more than acceptable anyway). Nice staff and good environment. Promoted!

Friends and I had been out for a meal together... We All wanted Icecream - so we visited Lusso for Icecream. We had Icecream in a tub & sat outside to enjoy.... It is Wonderful Icecream, Great Selection to choose from.... Recommend everyone to visit ..

Delicious meal! We started with a bolognese arancini followed by pulled beef burger and sweet potato chips and a sourdough Nduja pizza. Faultless altogether with Cecilia and Lino providing perfect service. Thank you

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place before now. As money gets tighter our family nights out become more precious and Lussso and their staff do not hold back with warm friendly service. Great sourdough pizza, kind attentive staff and on a warm summer evening they have a lovely outdoor space. We have been regularly visiting Lusso for several years and they can be relied on time after time. If you like pizza then this is the number 1 locally in the Newbury and Reading area….

Lusso's food really stands out, delicious pizzas and gelato. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and makes for a great relaxed meal, especially if dining as a larger group or with children.

Great service, very friendly staff and the pizza was very tasty - the base was so light and fluffy, and very generous with the toppings.

Excellent gluten free pizza - often GF bases aren't great - this was perfect. And the service was superb - very attentive & efficient. Great gelato too. Can't recommend highly enough!

Pizza here is delicious, I ordered pasta, and it was so salty. I couldn't eat it. When the staff member came over to clear the table, she asked if I wanted the meal in a takeaway box as it wasn't eaten, I said no thanks, I couldn't eat it as it was too salty, she ignored my comment & still charged for it regardless.

Amazing pizza with brilliant vegan options. We appreciated the speedy service and generous portions for kids' pizzas and our adult pizzas were delicious.

Arrived unbooked at 830pm, didn't know they shut at 9pm. They couldn't have been more welcoming. Service was excellent, food superb. We had a pizza and a pasta.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was really clean and tidy. The food was amazing. The meat feast pizza was incredible and so was the brownie. There's a good selection of gelato flavours and the ones we tried were delicious.

First time at Lusso’s for a meal rather than just ice cream. We had pizzas that were out of this world good, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Can’t believe we’ve not been there before. Thoroughly recommended for a reasonably priced night out.

It was not too long to wait for the food, and then it all was served together over a span of minutes (there was over a dozen of us). Very friendly service. Great selection of drinks available. Recommended.

Previous experiences with Lusso both at the restaurant and ordering online have been fantastic however tonight we have been really let down. Our order arrived with one of the mains missing, we phoned to ask if it was missed by the driver and instead they admitted that they sent the order knowing the pizza was missed. We offered to come and collect it as it was already paid for but instead they said we need to re-order which means we’ve had to repay the ordering fees and as we our original order was part of a 20% deal off deal (with a minimum spend) on the ordering app, we then had to pay full cost on the pizza the second time, so paid out more than we were refunded. During this time the rest of order had gone cold and we had to eat our meals separately. This was supposed to be a fun treat but instead it has been a stressful experience and not the usual service we receive. We did not even receive an apology for their error when speaking to them and as someone who has worked in a customer facing role, this a basic courtesy to give when you make an error. This is a real shame as we have always highly praised Lusso’s and even opted to support them over the new pizza place that has opened in the market place, due to our precision great experiences. We may re-consider ordering again in the future and only opt out to eat in, which is more limiting for us due to our unpredictable availability.

Not enough superlatives to describe this restaurant! Firstly the food was sublime. Pizza, pasta, and ice cream are all worth a visit. Whoever operates in the kitchen knows what they're doing. Secondly, service was absolutely amazing. From the moment me and my partner were at the door, to the very last second of our time there we were made to feel like we're guests at a friend's house, not a restaurant. Last but not least - the vibe was right up my alley. Right outside the entrance was a man playing chill instrumentals on the guitar. Truly was a cherry on top. All in all it'd give the overall experience a 10/10. Would highly recommend anyone to pay a visit when you do get a chance. Krzysztof K.

Friendly, tasty, welcoming and fantastic in the summer if you can sit outside in the old arcade. Been here for years and always super consistent with the food and service. Ohh and they have excellent (actually spicy) chilli oil!

Love this place! A proper hidden gem. Excellent, unfussy Italian food with great service at a reasonable price. The wood-fired pizzas are the main attraction but don’t overlook the starters and pasta dishes. There’s also a very dangerous gelato counter 👀 Recommended!

Pizza was good but carbonara was a bit strange and not to our taste.

Everything was delicious. I had the aubergine arancini(deep fried rice balls), which was on point. Not soaked in oil, crunchy, and great flavour. For main, I had Blue cheese pizza, which was nice. And for dessert, coconut ice cream/gelato which was one of the best coconut ice creams I have ever had.

We come for a coffee and didn't reach my expectation coffee was very watering Properly not tge best. Also i ask for a italian digestive (herbs liquor) and the waiter offer me a tablets for digestion 😑 I don't if want coming back to tty there food

The gluten free pizza dough was exceptional! Freshly made, soft and tasty. I opted for vegan pesto and vegan mozarella too. My partner had a regular mushroom pizza and was impressed also.

Great pizza,quality coffee and desserts

just got home and found id got a very soggy pizza because they'd stored it in a airtight plastic container while they waited for me to collect; so it went straight in the bin untouched. they also asked if i wanted it cut; which I did; and it wasnt. clearly I should have gone to Dominoes bc at least there you dont expect quality

Came in on a Monday night. Unsurprisingly it was v quiet. The place was warm and welcoming and the lady serving friendly & attentive. The star of the show was the food. We had arancini, mozzarella sticks, salads and pizzas, all of it was delicious. Bill was very fair and the server took time to ask if we were ok with the service charge - which we were glad to pay. All in all a great little place for a casual but tasty night out

It was so great. The staff are all so kind and food was mind blowing. Sourdough base with the perfect toppings. If you get a take away over £30 you get a free side. I would get the chorizo. My family loves coming here and it is great for the kids. The pasta looks good but personally I would go for pizza.

I would like to say that it was my first time going yesterday and my partner recommended it.the food tasted great and the service was amazing would love to give 5 stars for food but can’t due to me and partner being ill and now having food poisoning, my partner had the lasagne and I had the spicy pizza.i did tip on top of service charge as it was lovely just unfortunate how we feel today.

I went for lunch at Lusso with my daughter as my wife had to work over the Christmas period. We had a lovely meal. The pizzas are second to none and the Italian ice creams a must have. Definitely our favourite Italian restaurant in town.

What a fabulous team! So welcoming and accommodating. Often eating out with a toddler can be stressful but it was a joy thanks to the thoughtfulness of the staff.

I’ve been following Lusso on Instagram for months and it truly lived up to my expectations. We went for a birthday meal. It was so lovely going to a small family feel restaurant. We shared a bolognese arancini ball to start, had the meat feast and spicy salami pizza and shared a tiramisu. Everything was incredibly tasty and authentic. The service was incredible, so friendly and accommodating. They were open about the service charge and pointed it out to us before we paid, which we were more than happy to do, but really valued the transparency. We’ll be back very soon - thank you so much for a fantastic experience.

Authentic Pizza - Couldn't recommend more! Drove pass Newbury on a Sunday evening and found this hidden gem on Google. Pizza tasted heavenly good, from the pizza base to the ingredients. The sourdough base is very soft with rich taste of olive oil. Nice atmosphere and friendly staffs.

Wow! Went here to celebrate my new job promotion and came in based on the reviews. We had no table booked but they found us a table with no problems. The staff were amazing, friendly, funny and really went above and beyond. But the food here will leave your dreaming about it after you've left. Incredible quality, sooo tasty and the service was crazy quick. I think we have found a new hidden gem and our new favourite place in Newbury. Exceptional 👌

Every time I visit I’m impressed. Great pizza at a good price. Great service. Lovely place to visit on a nice day, with lots of outside seats. Nice to see they’ve recently branched out to do pasta too, and it’s just as good as the pizza! The ice cream is really good too, and they have loads of unique flavours.

Why have I lived in Newbury for 5 years and only visited this place recently??? Lovely food, lovely service and the chef likes Metallica and LOTR so even more of a reason to go there and eat his great food!

I had lunch here earlier and it was lovely. We sat outside in the courtyard which had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. I ordered the bruschetta and it was amazing. It was a good sized portion for the price and it was so full of flavour. We went into the restaurant to choose our gelato afterwards which was something a bit different. We could try a sample of whichever flavour we wanted. I’m glad we found this place, I would definitely go back!

A beautiful place with amazing authentic Italian food and exceptional service. The place is very picturesque with a lot of flowers, the food is very well priced and is truly a heaven for authentic pizza lovers. The staff even offered us to try the gelato and was a top quality as expected. I would definitely return again. I wish the best to the management and the team. Keep up the good work.

This place is an absolute treasure! I'm delighted to have stumbled upon it using Google Maps. The experience was impeccable, from the delectable food to the outstanding service. I highly recommend trying their summer Margarita Pizza; it pairs exquisitely with chili oil and a refreshing glass of peach iced tea on the side.

Great atmosphere, food was amazing! So many vegetarian options too which is great. Wheelchair friendly as all on one level and they have spacious seating outside too. The team were very friendly and were very kind in waiting for us to finish dessert as it was closing time and they didn't rush us. Prices are good for the food. Can't wait to come back soon. 😀

Delicious pizza on sourdough base

Amazing food, we went there with my parents last night and my mum said she hadn’t had pizza that good since she was last in Italy!! Lovely staff, amazing food and good value for money!
