Lovely evening! Although would have been better after we asked for water, to be then charged £22 for mineral water 😳 Tap water is absolutely fine! Friendly staff, food good.

Takeaway. Main items were floating in a thin watery soup rather than the sauce they should have been in! Most of it went in the bin, not enjoyable. Shame, will not go back.

Trading boundaries has a magic from the moment you walk through the door. It's a family run business and they make you feel special. The ambience is fantastic, with so much to feast your eyes on. It tantalises all your senses, with the lights, decor, beautiful food and Jazz music. Its everything you could ask in a place and more.

Disappointing, the Sloop's web-site offered a set two course lunch for £19.50, an offer reiterated on the Festive Menu Board in the restaurant. On arrival, with my wife and two friends. we were informed the set menu was not available and we needed to order from the al la carte menu. As I only required a light meal, I ordered a main course , steak and chips , coffee and mince pie with a bottle of non-alcoholic beer. This came all came to £46.40 including the added 12.5% gratuity. Cannot fault the service and ambiance however. I agree with the other's who posted similar comments - rather expensive for a steak pub lunch.

Visited Friday for a meal with friends.as expected on a Friday it was very busy, we knew it would be as we use this Wetherspoon's often.served fairly quickly and efficiently. Food took a little longer to arrive which was not a problem .the fried egg with the all day brunch was rock solid ,we asked for it to changed straightaway which it was .2nd one not that much better but at least not bullet like. The fried fish was over cooked a tad and my friend had scampi served with baked beans instead of peas. A member of staff quickly came over and asked if my friend had touched it as it wasn't hers ,took it away and bought correct one. My jacket potato was fine no complaints. It's the closest coffee shop to me, but I honestly just find the coffee bland. I'm a Cafe Nero snob. 😁

The staff at the hotel are great and really helpful. The hotel itself is very dated and could do with a little TLC. The room we stayed in could have done with a total referb

Chicken tikka was obviously cooked earlier and reheated as it had charred edges but wasn't crispy, onion bhajis just tasted of old oil but couldn't taste any onion, chicken madras was lacking in madras, chicken chilli masala had no spice, chicken tikka masala was OK but nothing special. I read some of the reviews beforehand which said it was good, very disappointed there's no decent indian restaurants in Hailsham.

I am completely shocked that curry was so soaked in salt it was ineadabl had to frow it in bin what a let down discussing waste of money

Food was cold when arrived sauce dripping out of the dishes, onion baahji tasted stale overall the bread and rice was nice

Went for Sunday lunch for my 50th birthday with family. Cannot recommend it more highly. Food was delicious as always and the staff are so lovely. We had a brilliant time. Thank you to Megan and all the staff.
