Nice outdoor seating in the square outside the church.

Very nice Hot Chocolate, coffee and tea. Friendly staff. Toilet could have been cleaner.

Occasionally bargain cakes. Reliably good coffee

The guy who's the manager is really rude, the other blonde girl who was working with him were enjoying themselves making fun of me for a drink I ordered.

The store inside is in dire need of reconstruction and some paint. Not sure what's been happening but coffee is awfully made (Nov 2023-jan 2024) really burnt tasting. Rather go somewhere else now and it's roughly £11 for a toastie and coffee, not sure what inflation costs are on

Pleasant visit. Been a few times for take out and sit in, never had any issues!

Not pretty much changed here, I popped in for a quick bite and a coffee a black one , the staff was lovely and very friendly still first time they gave me a white coffee instead of black one then they changed with a black one that I ordered still and happened 2 weeks ago as well the coffee was tasteless, watery it was like I was drinking coloured water.

Very bad service, I ordered a latte and a ham and cheese toasty, no toasty arrived and had no refund

I’m not usually a fan of Costa - but for Costa Hailsham I’ll make an exception! Great service - friendly and offer to take your tray to your table when its ready. Great coffees too - made properly which you often don’t find in other Costas. Nice location too ! Best Costa I’ve ever been too. Only one small gripe - they don’t have Millionaire Shortbread (apart from a small wrapped gluten free bar - which isn’t as good)

I tend to not use Costa's if other coffee shops are available but thought I would give it a try again. Disappointing noisy environment caused by staff dragging chairs and tables about sweeping up . Also the toilets were a disgrace. Dirty and mould everywhere. Never going back to this outlet.

Nice place to relax... friendly staff.... Unfortunately the next door shop is doing some building work...Builders taking the whole front area of Costa with very messy deprie &dust loud banging noise ...the sugaring of the cake...builders using the front window seat as their office...making it very uncomfortable to sit at the lovely bay window seat

It's a bit tatty and could do with a fresh coat of paint or a good clean. Disappointing.

Three staff on today but although there was no queue it was a long wait to be served. My server did apologise for the wait. No teaspoons available. Tables needed clearing and cleaning. Toilet had a very very wet floor, No hot water and no working hand dryer.

Not one of the nicest Costa Coffee shops I've ever been in, mainly due to the fact that it's located inside an old building which makes the place look a bit tired, but that said, it's quite large, clean and the staff are quick, friendly and helpful. It has one toilet and in good weather a couple of tables outside. On the up side, it's still the best cafe in Hailsham. If you like the Costa brand, none of this will put you off. Mar 2022: the service and quality of the coffee and cakes etc are still really good, it's nice to see things are consistent in here. Mar '23: not a very nice place to visit at all now, needs completely refurbishing, looking very tired and grubby. The staff don't seem at all happy or incentivised to keep the place tidy or give good service eg: spilling the coffee as it's being poured, it's all gone downhill, very sad ☕😔

Hailsham Costa always a warm and friendly atmosphere. My local one so in there couple times a month. Popped in today with the other half, very friendly staff as always had a pot of tea and tried the breakfast wrap, bit too much egg in it for me, compared to rest of ingredients in there but won't put me off having another.

There can be 4 staff and not 1 will acknowledge you. The frappes are some of the worst I've tasted. Not sure how you can get them so wrong. Not a costa ill visit again. Have tried it 3 times and no improvement

Allegedly on winter hours so close half hour earlier (6pm weekdays) but no sign of this on door or anywhere or on Google maps. So are staff knocking off early? Other visitors were equally annoyed to be told that they were closing and we had to leave. Not very good service is it?

Hopeless, one barista and a cleaner not trained to do coffees. Waited 15 minutes for a coffee. Management sort your staff out.

Nice little Costa, friendly staff and food is good. A bit smaller than the one that used to be in Heathfield.

Dreadful. We ordered a one shot skinny decaf cappuccino and an Americano to drink in. We were given takeaway cups for some reason. There was about 30mm of fluid to drink in the cappu and the americano was so weak it tasted awful and looked like dishwater. There was no toilet paper in the loo, several tables had not been cleared, tiles were off the wall, I could go on. After trying our drinks we returned them to the counter for a full refund and even the barista thought it was tea. We will never return to this Costa.

It's costa. It is as you would expect

Staff were awful, to busy talking with each other to serve you, ended up with a takeaway carton because they could not even be bothered to ask if if eating in or taking away. The woman behind me left after getting angry about the staff. Tables were not cleared, overall not good.

Always friendly staff and coffee just how I like it! Especially love my coffees made by Danni who delivers perfection!

Usual Costa, usual products available. We were there Saturday lunchtime and it wasn't busy ... plenty of seating.

Not a great experience at lunchtime today. Drinks were fine but food was a disappointment. Picked up a ham and cheese toastie. When it was brought across I was told I was a vegetarian ham and cheese. When I questioned it I was told that's what I had picked up. There was no markings to say it was vegetarian which was a shame.

Not dog friendly. Got kicked out. I'll go to Bucklers instead (:

Decent coffee, sadly the wait times are even slower these days. The click and collect often doesn't have oat milk and the Uber delivery rarely works now.

Bring the kids here for family lunch quite often. Friendly and kid tolerant staff, coffee for the adults. Order ahead on the app is very handy

This is my local shop. Usualy very gd but three times now in as many months my cup has been to say the least disappointingly low . Had to mention it as it neads to be said. Went for coffee today and the 2 girls serving were absolutely useless. And the upset my granddaughter. Yet another visit and another half cup of coffee. That 3 half cups now.

Not great service and staff complained about the jugs for chocolate having not been cleaned/emptied before use but topped it up and used it anyway. Staff not overly helpful

Just got a coffee from here, I don't like to go to this one very often as the windows are always covered in condensation and it looks dirty. Coffee and service is ok x

Over priced fashion coffee which makes people fat.

I like this coffee shop. Drinks are always good and it's a good place to sit and chat and watch the world go by out of its huge windows. Staff are really friendly.

At least it opens on time, but if you can’t make a coffee don’t work in a coffee shop. Or, as a company, train your staff. Probably better in McDonalds.

Can be quite difficult to get in and out with a pram or if you are disabled.

In a small town where coffee shops seem to close at 4pm, this relatively spacious cafe was still serving. Service was polite, they correctly asked us to complete the track and trace app and served us speedily.

Regular coffee stop while out cycling. Service can be slow but it's a Costa and the coffee is good.

The drink was good, slightly wrong order but I won't complain. They cleared a table for 4 of us.

Have had nothing but wonderful visits since going to this costa, before lockdown I was going in every morning for a coffee and a bap before heading home after work, staff are amazing, including a young man who made me a new free coffee after I foolishly spilled my own as I was sitting down, always lovely and clean and a good atmosphere all round!

Never to sure about the hygiene levels things seem to get just rinsed rather than washed up.

Each time we visit tables not cleared staff not keen. Customers end up doing it for them tables never wiped down

As like many other costa, it is good. I liked the seating arrangement. Staff were good. Coffee was as Costa.

A sign to tell you it's a costa over the door is so faded it's probably lowering local property value, no wifi and one set of plug sockets with a little sign (still better quality than 1 above door) which insists do not use! Staff seem fine internally it's ok but out of touch with what customers come into coffee shops like this for. Cos frankly it's not the coffee!

A great social meeting place with friendly staff

Getting bored of the attitude from staff here. Particularly one young man who is distracted, always seems fed up and behaves like moody teenager. Sorry for ordering a coffee and putting you out young man! We would rather go to Bucklers, St Mary's Walk. Much better coffee and service.

Usually pretty good but on this occasion not so good. Dirty tables, had to clear a table before we could sit down after waiting 20 minutes to order a tea and coffee.
