The Rajdoot has a good menu and the food matches up to its promises - hot, tasty and ready on time. not very often I pick out a side dish as outstanding but the bhindi bhajee was something special.

Superb. Service is very friendly and attentive. Food is exceptional. Menu now includes VAT which means they read and act upon their reviews. We had a wonderful anniversary meal and look forward to our next visit. The only minor is that the carpets need replacing or a steam clean to remove some staining.

Spent nearly £70 on a takeaway. Was very average, pretty bland and generic. I’ve worked and travelled in India and this was poor. Disappointed.

The worst meal in my entire life Well, chicken madras is not watery tomatoes soup with some chicken thrown in it without any spice , whoever the chef is here clearly has no idea how to cook Indian food, coming from an Indian family I clearly do know . and having eaten in numerous Indian restaurants for over 40 years I can confidently say that this was the worst attempt at a madras ive ever had the misfortune to eat, the staff were pleasant but the chef, well , someone needs to have a word !

Food was bland, I didn’t know I was eating curry. Tables jammed together. All very ordinary.Won’t be going back.

I went in and ordered a takeaway. Chicken tikka dansac plus rice, side dish and nan. Got home expecting the usual colour and taste of a tikka dansac. Red smoky flavour thick sauce. Didn't get either. White chicken, either old or over cooked thin sauce. It's sad when you say best part was the nan.

Had my birthday supper here last night. The food was great and the service impeccable. We have the Chicken Tikka Korai and the Lamb Jholpuri. Portions were enough that we had lots to take-away. I am visiting from the US, will be here three more weeks, and I will definitely be coming here again before I leave.

Food and service was amazing was impressed with everything. Able to sit and I had a child and the manager was joking with her and making her feel welcome.

Booked a table for 4 people, about an hour before we needed it. Great welcome, straight to table. Not too crowded, well laid out.Coats collected. Swift and attentive service. Helpful advice on dishes. Food was lovely, good portions. Prices seemed fair. All seemed to match a 5/5 rating. Thank you!

Went here for a Tuesday night meal for two, usually it is really good here with great staff. Unfortunately the staff have changed and the food is inedible. No one checked back on us, so we sat with two full plates of inedible food for 28 mins until an Eastern European lady asked us if we had finished, we explained that the food was inedible and she took it away. The lady informed us that her manager would come and talk to us, but unfortunately in the time it took her to take the plates her manager had gone home. No discount was offered, no apology was offered. Needless to say we paid our bill for the food that was inedible and left. We will not be returning and we advise that you don’t either.

I visited this restaurant and after a very tasty meal I received the bill and it was 20 per cent higher than expected because they add 20 per cent vat on the bill. This made the bill more expensive than top London Indian restaurants. I don’t know if this is illegal but I don’t know any other restaurant that does this shady practice. It is a pity because the food was good but I will not be be visiting this restaurant again.

Starting on a plus, we were warned that one of our choices for a main was exceptionally hot so chose another. We also offered to collect our meal from our main car park as our house is a bit difficult to find, but the driver arrived at the door. Then our disappointment followed. The alternative choice meal was flavourless and seemed to miss some spice ingredients , the madras was 'yellow' like a korma and no heat/spices Just a few chunks of chicken in a sauce. My Pathia was reasonable (lucky me). Unfortunately we will look elsewhere next time.

The 2 good things about this place were a. the service which overall was polite and attentive (not intrusively so) b. the food - we founds this place to be one of the better meals we have had at a traditional Indian Restaurant. The negative is that you have to add VAT to the quoted prices and overall the food was relatively costly - five pounds once VAT in for a keema naan say or £1.20 for a poppadum..., Wine around £22 for a house bottle.

The food was very good indeed. However the prices seemed very high especially for even the mind sauce dressing. We would return but not as much as we would have liked because of the prices. I think the prices reflect why the restaurant was empty...
