Amy and this great takeaway coffee van has been one of the best things that has appeared in Farnham recently and has made our dog walks that little bit special. She always has a smile and a friendly welcome for us and our dog. The coffee is lovely and the cakes are unbelievable. Our favourite is the bakewell slices and the peanut millionaire shortbread. Look for thecoffeevancompany on Instagram to find out where she is every day - you won't be disappointed.

Best place for steak and service for miles around Been regularly coming here for a long while. Service has never waned and food quality is consistently brilliant. I don't know anyone that's had a bad experience here and Rigels and team are always on point with customer service. The chefs are great and know how to actually cook a steak which is actually a rarity in the area. If you want a decent meal and night out, you're daft if you overlook this place.

Disappointing: the rooms and brand generally deliver, beds are great. But this outlet is not one of the best. The double room was set up for one, so I had to go and find more towels. And there was just half a loo roll provided. One of the odd features of this hotel is the uneven floors. The bathroom seemed to have a hatch under the vinyl flooring, which was buckled. Not very impressed. That said the bed was very comfortable as expected, and the room was warm on a frosty day.

I've visited several times and eaten on more than one occasion including a Christmas meal this week. The standard of the food has never been anything short of exceptional. The portion size is generous to say the least & the freshness of the ingredients is evident. There is a good choice of draught ales, lagers & ciders as well as an extensive selection of spirits. Jay, the landlord, along with his staff have bought a new vibrancy and positive atmosphere to a pub that may have held a different reputation in years gone by.

We came in a group of friends for an afternoon tea. Upon booking we were not given the choice of booking either a sweet or savoury afternoon tea. A call was made (but on a Sunday evening at 7pm) the night before to ask our preference. We missed the call and no message was left to call back. When coming in we were told only sweet had been made, despite both being printed on the menu making it seem as if we had a choice. Food was average and scones were overcooked. Service was very abrupt, when we stated that the water for the tea was lukewarm the waitress decided to argue back! Most unusual! Service should be optional without being made to feel awkward for an average experience. It is a shame because the decoration and building is nice. Let down by poor management.

Fathers Day. Had a booking for 6pm as we are staying at the nearby Premier Inn. 2pm get a phone call they are closing at 5pm as they only have one staff member available. Seriously, get some more staff in. How do you find anywhere else on Father's Day? Everywhere is booked. Couldn't even give me an earlier booking. A good job Macdonalds are more accommodating.
