Over priced and the food portions were miliscule compared to a proper cafe. Won’t be coming back again. It’s a shame as I was recommended and was highly let down.

Pop in after work for a late lunch as as usual service is spot on can’t do enough for you normally order the Same thing for the last 30 yrs lol food was great as always great place to come would recommend it to anyone owners are lovely and always happy

Dreadful lunch...I ordered jacket potato with grilled chicken and avocado and it looked like a pile of dog meat on top of a flat potato. Chicken more like fried nor grilled. My son had a chicken burger and thinks he has food poisoning. Daughter had spaghetti bolognaise which was just slimy and greasy.

Average run of the mill cafe. Much needed in Farnham and lots of love to the staff

Eggs benedict with crispy bacon. Absolutely terrible looked nice but bacon had no flavour as well with the hollandaise sauce tasteless, Eggs were over cooked and the toasted muffin was soggy and only slightly warmed. I remember when the gorge used to be great but those days seem long gone. Staff were pleasant enough just the food really let it down, sorry but just giving my honest opinion

I like this place. It is good, it is nice, it is great. The food was nice and the price was very reasonable. I think perhaps it might be my favourite place to grab a breakfast in this town. I think perhaps I am at my happiest in the company of some good friends and a plate of tasty food in front. I often feel lonely but Never have I felt glum at the Gorge.

My first time back since the Gorge moved from its old home in the Woolmead. Still very good. Will be back!

Nice restaurant, good service (waitress service, and we didn't wait long for our food to arrive). Ordered an omelette with two fillings, and an all day vegetarian breakfast - food was hot, and tasty.

The service was good , however it was one of the worst fish and chips that I’ve ever had . I didn’t expect much but that was a very low quality frozen food . I’m not going there again .

In Farnham on business. had to go here first for the second time. Trucker high quality food with addition of waitress service. Dont go anywhere else if you want decent breakfast and great service

Just had homemade chicken and vegetable soup, a meal in a bowl and not costly.

I’ve been in many cafes around the area and this one is if your having the gorge special breakfast was very dissapointing compared to the other places especially Aldershot’s cafes which are excellent. Great staff but food not so.

Old school colonel. Decent breakfast and lattes and considering its Farnham was good value too. Staff were pleasant and service was average. No changing items on the menu giving it four not five stars

Staff are rarther distant. Would benefit bit warmth in approach. Put a plates with food on the table and walked away just like that, not asking if everything was all right and if we needed anything else. Food decoration (Benedictine) very poor. No herbs, no lemon, just lonely two benedictines on the large white plate..

This place is a little Gem . No frills just excellent service , good wholesome food.served quickly and without fuss. Had lunch as well just as good but the breakfast is excellent .

Popped in for a light bite and coffee on Monday. Pleasant homely setting - quite unlike the chain coffee shops. Surprisingly reasonable prices, prompt service and tasty food. A bit how coffee shops were before the advent of the branded chains. Recommended!

Can't speak highly enough of The Gorge. Food is great, staff are helpful & welcoming and South St car park (Ringo) 2 mins walk away.

The Gorge is the place to eat in Farnham, lovely staff, brilliant size portions and reasonably priced. Whenever we are in Farnham this is where we eat.

Always going in here, great spot to grab a sandwich or a full blown meal. You get a good meal at a fair price which is hard to find in farnham now.

Was attending Farnham for their next Town Crier selection to support a friend (he missed out but was robbed IMHO) and was recommended this café for a Full English and a cuppa. It didn't disappoint. Dont expect chincey table cloths etc - this place is more greasy spoon but none the worse for that. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced and the table service was fast and friendly. The Full English represented especially good value (photo appended) and tasted delicious. Shall visit again.

Good unpretentious food in Farnham.

A welcoming English restaurant with breakfast and lunch options. They serve pretty much all of the traditional English breakfast options, with a few variations also. Some of the food comes unseasoned as is the case with a lot of English food, but it's well prepared enough that it doesn't feel off at all. You can also add salt and pepper to your taste. The prices are perfectly reasonable, so much so that you could come here semi-regularly if you're a local. Overall, a great place to have a relaxing meal.

Came with with my teenage kids who wanted to "find a different cafe". We found this place, and it didn't disappoint. Vegetarian breakfast, normal breakfast and scrabbled eggs in toast were all delivered quickly and were spot on 👌🏻

Visiting Farnham, I needed hot tea and a nibble. It was very busy, yet they squeezed me in. Tea came fast delivered by smiling friendly staff. Big menu selection at good prices to choose from. I had liver, gravy, bacon and onions. Nicely cooked served with a big pile of chips. I left well fed. Thoroughly recommended. This cafe buzzes.

Pop in on Wednesday morning with son. Was welcomed by server who showed us to our table and few mins later ordered food and drinks not long before food turned up was very hot and so tasty having grill and gorge special food was value for money and portions wer great too. Nice little cafe in Farnham and always return owners are great.

Ordered 2 bacon sandwiches to go. Very stingy with only 1 rasher of bacon per sandwich strategically cut to make it look like more. Sandwich was £3.50

We pop in for breakfast fairly often. Great food at good prices. All members of staff are so friendly. We never wait long for our food after ordering and we always have a pleasant meal.

For the first time, I was not happy with the staff, I arrived there, got a menu handed in with a bad attitude, Waited for more than 10 minutes for someone to pass by the table and ask ohhh do you want to order? I hope this is a one time off, once the owners are really nice,(I believe they are the owners)

This is possibly the friendliest cafe in Farnham. Family run and family friendly. Good honest food and a really good selection of food. The omelets are very tasty and the eggs benedict also very good. Great for breakfast or lunch.

Came in this morning for a spot of breakfast and was great staff wer very helpful and happy and just a great service couldn’t fault them breakfast was banging fresh and hot and didint have to wait long.

Yes, very underrated. The menu is comprehensive, not expensive and easy to read ! We were there for lunch and it was busy. All the staff knew exactly what there job was, resulting in a quick service and, importantly, the food was hot. The Gorge was a lovely surprise as it's position and outside appearance suggested that it might be quite ordinary. It wasn't ! If you want a quick tasty lunch without the frills then this is it..........and the coffee's excellent.

Went in for breakfast and a cuppa. Totally ignore, but the locals were seen to right away.

My favourite is the Gorge Brunch Sandwich. Bacon, tomato, egg mayonnaise and I have mine toasted (this is not listed as an official upgrade!). This is not part of a restaurant chain, but run by local people. Good sized portions.

This is a great cafe - one of our favourite places to eat in Farnham. There’s a great menu of real food served in generous portions for good value prices. It’s always busy (as it deserves to be) but the service is quick and the staff are really friendly.

While this is a greasy spoon the food is good quality, well priced and arrives quickly. There's also a great selection right through from breakfast to early evening.

I quite often pop in here for my morning tea and egg and bacon roll I must say the place is absolutely lovely has a real nice homely feel about it and food is really nice warm tasty and a good price I would recommend anytime for anybody often tell people to come here because it is such a nice place

I regularly go here, paticularly after a morning swim at Farnham Sports Centre. The americano coffee is lovely, bacon & sausage sandwich very tasty and the staff always friendly. The premises now in South Street are spacious and clean, overall always a really good value...

The go to place for food in Farnham! About Us: We are a couple with a 14month child and all the additional items that we need for her (pushchair, meals, nappies, etc.). About the Venue The venue is in a good location. Although it may appear a little cramped, we've always managed to get a table with space for the pushchair and a highchair. The staff: The staff are always welcoming and helpful. They've always helped with our strange requests like a bowl of hot water to warm food. Food: The food is exceptional. Meals are cooked to order, especially the breakfast. Price: For the portions that you get, the price is very low. I'd happily pay more for the food and service.

Hadn't been to this cafe for years, but visited on a Saturday afternoon for just coffees and a bowl of chips. We had a warm welcome and received fast and friendly service. There's a broad choice of good traditional cafe items on the menu at attractive prices. The premises were clean and bright. It was very refreshing to visit a place where the staff are obviously happy in their work. We'll definitely visit again. Only one suggestion. At first glance when looking towards the cafe from The Borough it's not obvious when it's open as there is no obvious lighting in the cafe, as it's lit inside by downlighters. Something more obvious on the south Street side of the building to indicate when it is open may help increase business.

I went into the Gorge last week with a friend. The food was great as usual. The young lady who served me could not have been more helpful. I have coeliac disease so connot eat gluten. She checked every ingredient I ordered. Thank you.

Fantastic experience. The food was incredible, at a brilliant price. The place was nice and the staff were friendly. I can’t believe I’ve been going to chain restaurants for breakfast when this place has been around the corner this whole time. I couldn’t believe the prices, we both had a Gorge Special, one with chips and I changed the chips for hash browns. Normally not a fan of chips on a breakfast but after stealing a few from my girlfriends I have been persuaded! Cappuccino was also lovey. Will 100% be returning, will be surprised if I haven’t returned within a week!
