Bears at Packhouse in Waverley

Lovely place for coffee or lunch but leave time to browse the countless rooms filled with furniture, pictures, home decor, candles, ceramics and anything else your heart desires. Be warned though, you may never find your way out!

Love this location and the attached restaurant and coffee shop. Best to give yourself a good hour to look through everything here!

Full of grossly overpriced tat and they don't accept cash, which I thought was legal tender? Not that you would want to part with any.

This is a large Antique/Retro Emporium with a stunning array of furniture, home decoration and gift products. Words and even pictures cannot do it justice. It's just a fantastic place. Outside there is also a relatively small area of garden related decorative items. The enormous range of items means that there is something for every purse. There is also a Restaurant and separate Coffee shop within the grounds. Highly recommended.

Lots of antiques and different craft sellers in an old barn for indoor and outdoor for creating your extravaganza needs. There's also a delightful coffee shop and eatery on-site with ample car parking in front of the building with a very large overflow carpark for this local emporium of delights.

Do not waste your time! Spent over £1000 in the shop and popped in with my small dog to buy further items for which I was rushed after and told to leave immediately, couldn’t even stand and pay for the items I wanted! Disgusting behaviour. Why have a cafe which allows dogs and you can’t go in to the shop to browse. Last time I will ever visit!

Very disappointed this time. In the last 15 years, the Packhouse has always been an insider tip for unusual tops in large sizes, in addition to the wonderful things for the home and garden. This time only clothes in small sizes, nothing of the unusual, funny kind. Very unfortunate

Multi Trader retail site fits under a very broad banner of homewares. Furniture, soft furnishings, decorations, tittle tattle. Great place to nose around and find gifts of unusual nature. Few genuine antiques. Prices inflated to reflect the clientele and affluent Surrey location. Excellent restaurant on same site. Parking plentiful and free. Staff always very friendly. By nature of being a very old building it is largely unsuitable for wheelchair access unfortunately.

Amazing place, worth a visit but certainly not a cheap place. Doubt if you will find a bargain here. Allow a good time as there is so much to see.

Too much imported stuff this time around. I remembered in times past more pre- owned tempting items. The coffee cabin was closed for refurbishment disappointing- and the outdoor sales area was reduced in variety, age, and quantity of stock. Has the ownership changed , I wonder? So, disappointing in comparison from previous visits. I suppose what I'm saying in a gehtle way is that the original wow factor has gone / been diluted. Needs to go back to to what it did best. Otherwise, it becomes something less

Always a really fun day out looking through the Packhouse. They have unique items what are given a second life.

Good parking,multitude of both antique and contemporary pieces over multiple floors,nice coffee cabin and seat,worth a visit,lots of stairs.

Better than the last visit - more on offer. We found the restaurant a bit weird. It is quite a formal restaurant and menu and preferred it when it was more cafe like, but I am rating the shopping experience.

I have always loved going to The Pack House and go probably once or twice a month as well as use their restaurant. They sell the most beautiful and unique items and have bought so much from them. However I have been left feeling very disappointed recently as I bought 2 sequin skirts for Christmas with the idea of trying on at home and bringing one back. I took them home to try on, was ill for 3 days, then chose the skirt I wanted to wear that weekend which was the 7th day. By the time I could take it back, they told me it's out of the 7 day return policy by 3 days. I emailed them asking them to waiver it on this occasion as I'm a regular customer and they didn't bother to reply. 7 days just isn't enough time. Please please be a little more helpful and give your customers longer. 14 days would be much better, especially around the Christmas period.

Travelled some distance to visit this retail environment. Went to the coffee shop for refreshments, coffee was luke warm at best and very pricey and would not recommend

OMG what a goldmine. Never been here before but you could easily spend a few hours going over all the floors looking at unusual items. I am sure there is something here for everyone. Additionally the staff are very welcoming and made the visit a treat. Recommend a visit to see what you can spend your money on.

Imerse yourself in a unique lifestyle store in a 400 year-old hop kiln, selling vintage fashions and homeware, with a cafe.

Thought it was meant to be an antique centre. Modern day rubbish.

Christmas Fayre is absolutely fabulous as usual - getting to be a tradition for us now. Free prosecco and mini-mince pie on arrival. The place is a maze, wonderful selection of pictures, postcards, clothing, bric-a-brac and paraphernalia. Shame no craft Market.

I went for the clothing area. Got a superb dress last visit. Nothing I liked this time. Love a wander thru here though!

Some beautiful things, quite pricey. The restaurant was so lovely, and inviting. They deserve a mention.

An absolute delight shopping here. I dont think they will let me move in, so i am slowly buying everything they have. The service is excellent - from dismantling displays to ensure i had exactly what i was after, to the very helpful, and strong, guy who carried 3 very heavy stone plinths to my car, taking great care over packing them in safely, and refused a tip at the end! Top notch place.

Packed with a myriad of delights, this antique emporium has something for everyone. You may lose hours browsing and not find anything or get the perfect faux-pearl drawer handles in just 10 minutes.

My date required me to meet her at the pack house, over an hour late so had plenty of time to browse. The stock they hold is off the chart, i literally found over 5 things that i medically need for my home in Farnham. From silver cutlery to brass pans, total quality and completely old school not to mention the objet d'art, and unbelievable furniture at very good prices. Before you go buying online from alternative sources and get involved with returns, check it. Take a trip to Pack house and hand pick from a shelf, this place owns it, and you get the opportunity to support multiple local tradesmen and dealers.

Excellent food, service very friendly. Between us had bubble and squeak and prawns. Not exactly tiger prawns but still delicious.

Disappointed with the lunch experience. Club sandwich is NOT a club sandwich as previous reviewer has said it’s very disappointing. Coffee not pleasant either. The stairs to the toilet had food on them and felt very dirty with plates piled up at the back of the restaurant. Used to love visiting Bears at The Packhouse but won’t be going back to them again in Farnham centre.

For me this was disappointing. My main course chicken was tough and the sauté potatoes were new potatoes fried a bit, this was not sauté potatoes. My chocolate brownie was delicious and my daughter’s lunch was very nice. I clearly made a wrong choice. The staff were very apologetic when I mentioned the chicken and didn’t charge me for the main course. However, the all day breakfast the couple had at the next table looked very appetising.

Never again! Shocking service and food! My mum had a coffee that tasted like flavoured old water, my dad ordered a club sandwich it was just two pieces of cheap bread barely put together - we had to show them a picture of what a club sandwich was as they looked confused when we questioned in. Goats cheese salad was far to expensive for what it was - one small piece of cheese with leaves swimming in dressing, kids pizza was cheddar cheese on pitta style bread with dried up pieces of cucumber sticks! When we were asked how it was (when we left) they seemed far too relaxed that we weren’t happy and made no apology etc. We were pointed to a table, asked for our orders and given food and that was the only time staff appeared. No one checked how the food was, checked if we would like more drinks etc but still add the service charge on the bill! So many better places to go in Farnham, that are welcoming, polite and serve tasty food! Avoid!

Over priced poor quality food Goats cheese salad consisted of a tasty array of vegetables and salad with a tiny piece of goats cheese very over priced . Also ordered a club sandwich the chef needs to do some homework and look up a club sandwich. It was a sandwich and that was it ,again over priced . Coffee was weak and tasteless Kids pizza again over priced and tasteless Such a shame as we always like to support local businesses.

We booked up with friends for a table at 7pm on Saturday 20th May. We had bought a Groupon voucher for four adults to have a three course meal. The only one item on the menu that was not fully included on the voucher was the T Bone Steak and if you wanted this then I believe you had to pay an £8 supplement. Anyway the choice on the menu was so good that we all had a Starter, Main & Dessert. The Garlic King Prawn Starter was just superb. Two of us had the Lasagne for our Main and they were really terrific. Really cannot find one thing to complain about. We all had such a wonderful evening again and will certainly be back again soon.

I had booked up for the two of us to have a lunch on Monday 13th March at 13:30. Booking is essential, as when we arrived there was literally just our pre-booked table left unoccupied and the rest of the place was full. We had the Sharing Camembert Starter which was really very good and quite filling. My wife had chosen the Croque Monsieur and I had ordered the Bears Breakfast. I think our eyes must have been bigger than our bellies as we also opted to have a side order of Hand Cut Chips with our mains. I was absolutely stunned when the Breas Breakfast arrived!!!! It was unbelievable and such great value. There was two of everything on my plate, Sausages, Bacon, Hash Browns, Tomatoes with a heaped portion of Mushrooms & Baked Beans. There was a choice of eggs and I had opted for Scrambled eggs with mine. It was so delicious and all cooked to perfection with a round of toast and butter to compliment it. Our total bill for all our food and two bottles of Peroni and a glass of 250ml Chardonnay with tip inclusive £61:10. There is literally no room for any complaints and we would both highly recommend food and drinks here. Thank you.

We didn’t know where to eat and found Bears on a map. Luckily they had space for us as it was a busy Sunday lunchtime. Both of us had very tasty lunches - the bubble and squeak was divine! Went for brunch with my son, busy but they managed to squeeze us in. Excellent attentive service, but not pushy. Delicious full English for my son and I had a wonderful plate of poached eggs, avocado and smoked salmon. Lovely presentation.

I recently had the pleasure of trying their Egg Royale at Bears Restaurant, and I have to say, it was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time! The meal was cooked to perfection – tender and juicy – and the poached eggs/smoked salmon were soft and full of flavour. The gluten-free toasts were crispy and light. I highly recommend giving this place a try, if you're in the area and looking for a tasty and satisfying lunch and a cup of their amazing lemon/ginger tea. Staff members are friendly, kind, and supportive. I'll be back very soon.
