I don’t normally leave reviews unless I feel it worth doing. And I have to say for this place it’s worth it. The staff are super friendly and the food was fantastic, My hat goes off to the chef. For the price of a Sunday Roast I am amazed. And the other item on the menu I will be going back to try. There is also a slide and playground so your children can go play while you sit back and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. This place is well worth the visit.

Nice place but the owner/landlord is a complete egomaniac. If you have a pulse know you risk catching his eye, he will make it his mission to completely ruin the night of you and anyone you're with. I have no clue what his issue(s) is but I sincerely hope he stops projecting them onto people who simply want to enjoy themselves at the pub! What an absolute shame!

I went here two days ago with my parents for a pub lunch and we all had the creamy chicken pie. It was obviously home made and had huge chunks of chicken breast inside with mushrooms and a tasty sauce. All in all a lovely lunch. The service was fast and efficient, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The premises itself is a lovely old pub with a large traditional fireplace, quaint character. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely go back again when I come over to visit my parents. Sadly, since my original review my elderly dad passed away so we held his wake at this pub. Pete the landlord and his staff did us proud and made us very welcome. Dad would have been very happy. I have been back here a couple of times with my old mum, and had a lovely meal both times. Many thanks Pete.

We cannot thank Peter and his team for the wonderful service we received yesterday 07.10.2023 . We arranged a delayed wake for my wife’s brother, as they grew up in Cranleigh we looked for a venue in the village. The Three horse Shoes was recommended by my wife’s cousin who still lives in the village. Most of my brother in law’s friends and family are spread around southern England since being married. Peter put together a wonderful buffet which everyone totally enjoyed. I would recommend the Three Horse Shoes to anyone looking for a venue for any occasion. The staff are a total credit to Peter they work as a team nothing was too much trouble . They made my wife and I very welcomed from the minute we walked through the door, as with all the guests . I really cannot thank Peter and his team enough to the point my wife and I are looking to renewing our wedding vows next year for our in Cranleigh Church where we were married forty nine years ago and will be fifty years all being well . The church is opposite The Tree Horse Shoes and is now our first choice for a party afterwards. I cannot recommend The Three Horse Shoes high enough.

I pre booked and preordered for a table 9 people (to facilitate feeding us all) for Saturday, early evening. We received a genuine welcome from the Landlord. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere. Once we were seated, the food came very soon after. The choice on the menu was very varied so all in our party were able to be accommodated. The served us up huge portions, very well cooked and prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The food is very reasonably priced. All in all it is a beautiful old fashioned pub with a lovely old fashioned charm and history. We highly recommend it.

Very comfortable covered outside spaces and absolutely superb cask ales; the Hop Tipple was outstanding! Soul music was playing as I entered the pub. Immediately I was greeted enthusiastically from behind the brick-fonted bar, and served a drink. The front room of the pub is shallow and long, so there is not far to walk from the front door to the bar. This room has many dark beams, and the walls are painted a rich dark red. Colourful beer mats are decoratively dotted about in various places overhead. The period windows are deeply set in thick walls. I glimpsed a room at the back, with tropical wallpaper.A slice of a tree trunk was burning in the grate in the inglenook fireplace, emitting a rosy glow. More firewood was stacked on shelves within the fireplace, and on other shelves there was a selection of board games. The floor was bare boards, but there was a very well worn oriental rug in front of the fire, where a customer's dog had chosen to sit and bask. There is a large beaten copper protective shield above the fireplace. An old post horn hangs high above. Newspapers are provided. There were menus on tables and a blackboard of the daily specials. I thought the prices were rather high. My drink was also fairly expensive, but not out of the ordinary for Surrey. The music was not too loud and the soul covered several decades. The pub makes clear its aim of being a pub for everyone in the village--and it seems to have been fairly successful at attracting a cross-section of people. The Ladies toilets are clean and there is some Mickey Mouse wallpaper. There are also framed photographs of Daniel Craig, Brad Pit and Leonardo di Caprio. There is a bus stop almost outside the pub, and the 53 bus to Guildford, which serves it, is pretty frequent during the day. On weekdays, the last bus to Guildford leaves at 23.22, and the Saturday and Sunday last buses leave at around this time, leaving plenty of time for drinking.
