Beefeater Farnham in Waverley

Fathers Day. Had a booking for 6pm as we are staying at the nearby Premier Inn. 2pm get a phone call they are closing at 5pm as they only have one staff member available. Seriously, get some more staff in. How do you find anywhere else on Father's Day? Everywhere is booked. Couldn't even give me an earlier booking. A good job Macdonalds are more accommodating.

We visited on 13/05/2024 and have never been turned away from the Beefeater in Farnham despite the restaurant not even being half full. The manager was incredibly unaccommodating and unhelpful. I forgot to get his name but he was not really interested in assisting us. I suppose less work for him turning people away. Definitely not good business for the Beefeater though! We won't be coming back.

Delicious food served to us faster than we were told it would. A bit on the dear side but it was a special occasion for us

You can't go wrong with the unlimited breakfast, especially when it's kids eat free. Really enjoy the food service and atmosphere at Farnham beefeaters have been several times and never been let down. Will be returning.

This is a regular place for breakfast locally. Always friendly staff and fresh cooked breakfast with good vegan alternatives

Very dissapointed considering our last experience before this one was amazing , waitress was so rude to us as customers and about people with that had left before us with a child shouting not mumbling this table is disgusting I don't know how anyone is going to clean it expect me to do it disgusting she made it have a negative aura slamming plates and cluttlery around we will not be visiting again food was OK not something I will decide to go again but service was shocking my partner and I are in shock defo in the wrong profession made me feel uneasy ad we had children with us too and always try to clean up as best we can

I had the best lunch here the other day. I really enjoyed my chicken burger and pudding. I asked for a custom order for my sundae and it was no problem for them, they made a delicious one. Good choice of food, lovely staff. Sometimes I find beefeater to be a bit hit and miss but my recent experience here was brilliant.

Great place for dinner, friendly and efficient service. Special mention to Hannah, nice and bubbly personally, great service ! Great food and environment in the place and decor is fresh looking. Free parking for up to 3 h.

beer is awful every time i come here, pipes never flushed through, always taste the chemicals. this happens every time, no fluke , i visit every few weeks. clearly an internal issue , always the coors 🤮

Very disappointed, been going here for year's, and always enjoy the food although the service can be hit or miss, mainly because it's under staffed and very busy. But yesterday it wasn't busy and they had enough server's. Food was terrible service was so slow, we will never go back.

We chose a quiet time to visit, restaurant was clean and we were seated in a nice booth. The waitress was polite and attentive, the kitchen staff were slow though and the food was overcooked! There were staff congregating in sight and talking louder than us at the table with what would be best described as 'pub banter'. There wasn't a member of staff on the door as we left nor a "farewell, see you next time" unlike other branches. Definitely a one off branch but not in the best way!

Worst poached eggs I ever had in my life, mushrooms super dry. Fried egg burned at the bottom and raw on the top. If they can't cook some eggs right I don't dare to try any meat cooked in this place. Absolutely terrible

There were only two of us, but they charged me for three meals. Sent an email to complain. Got an automated reply saying they would investigate. Six weeks later I'm still waiting.

Lovely Sunday breakfast and quick

Great food, second time Cameron has served us and he’s been friendly and helpful both times. Amazing that they are a completely nut free kitchen, always a plus for us as my husband has a severe nut allergy. Will definitely be back again :)

Had an early sipper with a friend. He is very frail and uses crutches and we wwere seated close to the door, which was greatly appreciated. I had the Sirloin steak which was well cooked, and having recently returned from S Africa, it was as good as any steak i had eaten there. Our waiter was Cameron who was friendly, efficient and service focussed.

It’s a monthly treat to eat here. The fillet steak was served as I asked. The pepper sauce top dolla. The regular offers on meals are fantastic. Who wouldn’t want to save up to 33% off their meal.

Had pre booked 2 full english breakfasts as part of a stay at Premier inn,. On arrival we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Eventually got a table and were told someone would come and take our order. We helped ourselves to coffee from their machine. After trying to catch a member of staff's eye for 30 minutes and seeing them actively avoiding us we got up and left. I think £20 for two cups of coffee is discusting. I certainly won't be going there again. AVOID, REALLY POOR SERVICE. LEFT HUNGRY AND OUT OF POCKET. If I could leave a minus 5 star rating I would.

The fact you have a hair on your food and not even an apology is presented, says it all. Not worth the price you pay for a frozen food

Walked in at 6pm on a Sunday without a booking, restaurant was empty maybe a couple of tables eating waited over 5 minutes at the booking in desk to be told they don’t take walk ins. Was very suprised as it was empty in there, had it been busy I could understand. Family behind also were turned away. Not the first time I’ve been turned away from this place when it’s been empty and can’t understand how a business can turn away customers when there is lots of empty tables.

Served by Hannah was was doing a great job when the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Food was served quickly and good value for money. I felt comfortable eating here alone.

Hubby and I had lunch here, we had an excellent meal, with quick and friendly service. You can’t beat the value for money on the set lunch menu. We were served by Cameron who looked after us well.

Served by Josh. It was one of the best places I’ve ever been to.I loved the cheero sundae it was sensational. I highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to find somewhere to eat.Best place ever!!!!

Stop off en route to Cornwall staying at the Premier Inn. You know what you are going to get when you eat at a Beafeater but the icing on the cake was our waiter Jesse! Calm friendly and efficient even when faced with a table of five who seems to want to eat for nothing! Fortunately he also had a good manager for support.

On business trip was looked after by Holly.Being a lone female in a huge resturant can be some what over whelming but Holly ensured I felt welcome and despite being busy she gave everyone a smile and great service. Steak was cooked to perfection too. Looking forward to dining the rest of the week. Top notch service Holly ! Thank you

Hannah was lovely and so friendly and hard working was the server, but also helped out In kitchen. Was lively and enthusiastic throughout the night and great with young and old customers alike.

After a very bad Xmas day I was within two mind to come here again but I will openly say I am glad I did we had a wonderful waitress called Hannah and the food was cooked to perfection thank you. Hannah was so helpful from as soon as we walked into the restaurant, Hannah was extremely polite with a lovely bubbly personality it was a pleasure to have Hannah serve us yesterday. It is extremely hard to find staff that love their job and have the passion to make everyone feel comfortable, Hannah did all this. All the time Hannah is here we will most definitely be back. Thank you Hannah look forward to be back soon.

We were served by a young man called Sam, who was a great example of professionalism. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I loved it, because I didn't have to cook or wash up!

The staff, in particular Hannah, went above and beyond her job role to make us feel welcome. She made our experience very pleasant and will be certainly visiting again. Food was nice and value for money. I would recommend.

We met up with two friends for a catch up over a meal. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. We were given five star treatment the whole time and all the meals were excellent. All the staff were cheerful but Megan was absolutely brilliant....

A group of six of us came for dinner including two young children our order was quickly taken then the wait started, an hour and a half later we spoke up and were promptly served the children’s corn was frozen in the middle but they were so hungry after the wait they ate it anyway, my wife’s steak wasn’t edible it was just a lump of charcoal, the waitress Sue who was swerving our table was very polite, nice and helpful and tried to get the situation resolved as quickly as possible if it wasn’t for her great service I would have given one star for service. sadly I don’t think I will be returning here again

The prawn and vegetable skewer was poor. Only mildly warm a d certainly not worth £18.

We had a great evening to celebrate a couple of family wins. We ordered the chicken/rib combo, burger and curry. All exceeded expectations. The chicken rib combo was far bigger than expected, chicken was moist and ribs meaty and fell off the bone. My son devoured the burger and my husband really enjoyed the curry. We had our works department Christmas lunch there today. Everything was ordered/booked about 5 or 6 weeks ago. We where shown our seating area 12.30pm, by a waitress, who then started to write out what drinks we wanted. 10 minutes later 1 tray of drinks arrived, for us then to be told. We all had to go to the bar and get our drinks. Then an hour later our starters started to arrive in over then next 10 minutes. Then about 40 minutes later the main meals came out. They were very disappointing. The turkey was/looked pre sliced. Not carved from a real bird. By the time some of us had finished our main not everyone had received theirs. 2 people never received their main at all. Then the puddings were bought out in dribs and dabs. As was the service during our meal. We all finished and left 3.15pm. Our company spent £35 per head. Needless to say we will be else where next year.

We started to go here for breakfast..you get a menu and you just tell them what you would like,so you create your own fry up..coffee and tea are endless as is orange or apple juice,toast, cakes,yoghurt...all for just under a tenner we usually spend a good couple of hours just chatting and eating enter your car reg as you come in then parking is free ..its always clean and the staff are very friendly and polite

Appalling service. Staff lied about duration of wait for food and admitted they “always say a shorter time”. Table service extremely slow and rude when she did finally notice us. Food luke warm when received. No apologies from any staff at any time. Then unable to serve breakfast because understaffed so although we’d booked and paid for breakfast through the attached premier inn they still did not let us in to the breakfast area.

While the restaurant was very busy and there was a bit of a delay, our waiter, Cameron was pleasant and attentive throughout. It seemed to us that it was the systems in use, not the staff that caused the delays.

No chef. No steaks. Not only was the limited menu reduced to what can be taken from a fridge and simply reheated, but we were asked if we wanted a dessert before we had eaten our main course. Staff then started to rearrange the tables around us in preparation for the mornings breakfast. Wanted a coffee at the end of meal rather than a dessert, only to be told they had turned the coffee machine off. All the gents urinals were out of order aswell. 0 stars.

Pre paid for breakfast as part of our stay at the premier Inn. Was all looking forward to a good meal before our long journey home, but was advised that we couldn't be fitted in until 10 (over an hour later), due to being over booked. I opted for continental only due to being unable to wait an hour as we needed to get home (3 hours away traffic depending on nightmare motorways!). No refund offered. Very disappointing.

I have been going to Beefeater Farnham for a few years and food and service has been great. BUT the last few months the restaurant is not always open when it is expected to be and the food is not good at all. The chef is always different and it has gone down hill terribly. Waitresses are always so good but food has deteriorated.

Booked Sunday lunch here 2 weeks ago. When we arrived no Roasts! Why not advise people before they get there of limited menu. First waiter dropped a drink on the table. Second waitress was lovely. Ordered half chicken- none available! So no roasts and no chicken. So we had mediocre, expensive burgers. Manager never once checked in or apologised. Never again.

We have Been regular visitors to the Farnham Beefeater and we do feel it has gradually declined. Often poor service (not the staff's fault, they do not have enough staff for popular times. This time we were greeted by being told we would have a 30 minute wait.we agreed to this, settled in for the wait, but then we were told that the Sunday menu had been scrapped, even though it was still on their website. We left at this point as we had gone expecting a roast Sunday lunch
