The best restaurants in Tonbridge and Malling South East

We ordered, special fried rice, singapore fried rice, sweet and sour chicken hong kong style that tasted worse than moulded socks. The rice dishes were cold and tasted like shredded paper. By far the worst chinese I've had in years. It should close immediately!!!!!. Complete and utter waste of time, money and shop space. The salt and pepper ribs tasted like they were deep fried, then frozen then microwaved and served with a sprinkle of salt.

Rude staff, apparently can only read half the notes??? Hopefully the driver that came tonight gets sacked, I did find it amusing as he got flashed by the speed camera as he drove off.

Do not under unless you like half your order missing and subs that have little to no filling

We visited on 2nd March 2025 ( 9 adults, plus 3 under 5s). Glad we booked, as we'd never seen it so busy. We ordered Lamb, chicken and pork roasts and sides, plus spag bolt, garlic bread and fries for the littlens. Everything was cooked perfectly, the portion sizes are very generous and very reasonably priced, as is the wine. As it was a birthday gathering we also ordered (in advance) a chocolate cake, rather than desserts, this was amazing, a four tier sponge cake, with a delicious filling. This was large enough for everyone to have a slice with plenty leftover to take home too! Lovely Staff, very professional and friendly. Highly recommend, but definitely advise booking to avoid dissapointment.

Hotel is nice in general but rooms need refreshing, especially the bathrooms. There is a lot of parking on site and breakfast is good so regarding the hotel it’s good value for money. Unfortunately can’t say the same for dinner in their restaurant. I had fish and chips with green peas, and the only good thing about it was the chips. Green peas had no seasoning on it, and the fish was way overcooked but only the batter from the outside. Inside it was barely cooked which I suppose is due to the fact it was put into hot oil while still a bit frozen which resulted in a not so nice combination. Dark brown batter from the outside and almost like a fish paste from the inside. In general, hotel is good value for money but I can’t recommend the restaurant, at least not fish and chips.

I stopped by Mickey's Diner for a Full English breakfast on the way to work. The portion size was decent, and the food overall was okay, but inconsistent - the beans were cold, and the mushrooms wet, but the sausage and bacon were fine. The service was efficient enough, nothing special, and the place had a typical roadside café vibe. It did the job for a quick bite, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

This used to really good, unfortunately last couple of takeaways have been really disappointing. Really greasy, batter not cooked through and just no taste.

Happy House Passed it on way home and have never been there before. I thought I would give it a try for a takeaway. Young guy at the counter was monosyllabic at best and totally disinterested. I found the lack of a welcome was extremely rude. On that basis alone I will not return and that’s before getting my food. Having eaten my king prawn curry and chow mein I was looking for a word to describe the meal, bland sums it up. You can guess I won’t be back.

Still waiting for a refund after they had no wifi a week ago and couldn't see the orders online. Store have been no help.

Got a meal from here it's now called cinnamon spice and it was delicious got it delivered took 35 min to get to us all fresh hot and honestly best Indian meal I had for ages I'd recommend this place to eat mmmmm yummy

We love the location of the cafe, but sadly the quality of the sandwiches was poor. We didn't want gluten free options, but had little choice. The bread was dry and tasteless and the filling wasn't inspiring. £ 4.50 for two pieces of dry bread and a tasteless filling. Will bring our own picnic next time.

Ate my burrito which was yummy. Went to use the toilet. Men’s and women’s were both locked/out of order so I used the disabled one. The basin was full of soggy tissue. The toilet was spattered with human waste, not just on the inside. Yes, that is a 2 foot long streak of excrement on the floor.
