One of the best restaurants we been to in some years outstanding service & the food second to none will be going back place very nice

Good food with good staff.We enjoyed our meals here the place is clean with great service with staff that are helpfull.

Been here a couple of times very good prices the food was good but the staff are great always have a nice coffee here

Absolutely wonderful lunch. Everyone did everything possible to make our meal a pleasure. We had a vegan in our party and Karl the chef couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent food (I had the brisket) at a very reasonable price. £20 for 2 courses. We were treated like kings

Another fantastic lunch served by the attentive friendly Nico, food was delicious , very hot. My husband had the lamb kofta which came with a lovely fresh salad including dressing and a grains/rice mixture that he was impressed with. I had the sweet and sour fish which was accompanied by fresh home made chips and prawn crackers. Can't fault the food or service, looking forward to coming back soon.

We have been coming to the Fox for a good few years, it has always been our go to for birthday treats. Tonight was a huge disappointment. My husband and I ordered sirloin steak and the quality was awful. It was tasteless, tough and overcooked. I did complain but was just told they would take 50% off one of the steaks. I didn’t eat mine. I think what was even more disappointing was that they didn’t seem to care. The waitress was lovely but if there was a manager on site then they weren’t interested in speaking with us. This is the first negative restaurant review I have ever written. Such a shame. We won’t be returning, and I’m guessing The Fox won’t be interested in responding

Absolutely amazing food and the service was outstanding. The sharing platter we ordered , exceeded our expectations. The meat served was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be visiting again soon . Jon

After cycling around the vale we ending up in ignore. Had a meal at the surf shack. Very good food good prices

Visited for the first time today , beautiful setting , amazing friendly service . I would highly recommend and will be back

It had run out of chunky chips. There was an infant screaming. Sat outside. Very pleasant. Lovely staff. One of the dining rooms shut. It all felt as if it was in decline and ready to close. Something was not quite right. The food was good and portions large . The service excellent. Great for parking. I used to frequent here over 30 years ago and very fond of the place. But is atmosphere was not the same. Just felt something was missing. Maybe it lacked atmosphere.

Quintessential British countryside pub, frequently seems to change hands but still retains its charm due to great location and atmosphere.

Still a great place even though I don't visit as often as I used to!
