Having visited half a dozen pubs looking for a Saturday night meal without noise, rowdy football fans etc we tried the courtyard at The George. Lovely setting. Quiet and comfortable. A superb spaghetti carbonara and veggie lasagne were perfect and amazing value. All delivered up by a delightful lady from the north east. A perfect evening.
Was looking forward to a club sandwich in The George Bistro. At £12 I was expected something awesome. After an extremely long wait (there was only one other person) it arrived and was a big let down, and to add insult one of the bread slices on the triple decker was burnt black. This shows a lack of care, how difficult was it to re-toast another slice of cheap white bread. A garage sandwhich would have been better
Visited with friends before covid restrictions were lifted. It was still up to 6 outside.
Owners asked a group of 12, known to the pub, to quieten down but didn't care that they were all crammed onto one garden table/bench. The group were practically encouraged to carry on.
I lost a friend to covid. Shame not everyone takes health rules seriously
I decided to try the famous vegan sausage roll for the first time and was seriously disappointed. It wasn't very hot and was stodgy. I went to the toilets and they were filthy. Needless to say, I walked straight back out!
Every time I come to Thame I go here, always amazed at how friendly the staff is. Not to mention a nice flat white. Plenty of seats and right on the Main Street.
A-MAZ-ING
We went to the Bat and Ball in Cuddesdon last night and had the most wonderful meal. The service, the food and the atmosphere were all perfect in a country pub setting.
The cauliflower soup and cajun corn ribs were incredibly tasty. Our friends on the table were raving about the roast chicken, mushroom tagliatelle and the steak burger was said to be as good as a burger gets.
Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Great food and service, always a great atmosphere. Dog friendly which is fab. As well as different beer options which is nice to switch it up, which go perfectly with their meal promotions. Gone with friends and family, which never disappoints :)
Unfortunately NOT serving lunch any more! NO PIES :(
Only two real ales on, London Pride and Proper Job with crisps.
Staff were friendly and attentive, shame, probably too many pubs in Thame?
As an extended family of 9 we descended on this lovely pub on Sunday lunchtime and had the best roast dinner. The servers were lovely, as were some of the patrons who we met. All the tables were fully booked but a couple of charming regulars welcomed three of the least energetic of us to join them on the couch when the rest of the family went for a walk after lunch. I cannot recommend this highly enough. I would go again in a heartbeat but would still pass on the walk! Thank you to all of you at The Kings Arms for making our Sunday a day to remember x
Found the coffee served too hot causing an initial bitter taste. Good surroundings and light upstairs. Food too manufactured for me. Warm welcome and a smile were optional extras. Not for me. Sorry.

After getting the toppings wrong on my delivered pizza twice in a row. Customer service acknowledged the shop weren't going to get it right and refunded the cost of the topping. So be aware if booking online you may not get the pizza you ordered
Had a pretty poor experience couple of years ago, so gave it a swerve for a while, tried it again last week, and was super impressed, great food, generous amount of meat and chicken in the dishes, will definitely reinstate it as my local 'go to' indian takeaway.
Lovely little establishment had lunch with the children the staff were very accomadating and attentive lovely food and a fair price would definitely recommend.i now visit most mornings.
