Food was not good quality at all. Popadoms given if food picked up but only one. Just not good at all. Won’t use again.

Had a great take away last night , Sham and his team always deliver excellent food…I must recommend the chilli and garlic fried rice it is superb. Thanks Sham and his Team 👍

The guy on the phones cannot understand English very well and that causes a whole host of issues in itself. If the food was higher standard I’d be a bit nicer but it’s really underwhelming too. Hate to be “that guy” but please avoid this place

The food was good, but they completely ignored our messaged in the comments section of the online order for a specific pick up time of 6:30pm. Consequently our food had been sitting for 45 mins when we collected at 6:30. The assistant barely spoke English to complain to.

I have to say the best Tikka masala !! And there is so many choices too …but We love curry ! So we would like to order just a simple Lamb curry if you could put that on the website would be great !

First time in the area so thought we would give it a try. Ordered online and ready within 25 mins for collection. Friendly staff upon arrival. Piping hot upon collection. Lovely curries, really tasty and amazing naans too. Complimentary poppadoms too which was nice. Very good value for money, less than £30 for a 2 meals and all the sides. Would recommend and would definitely order again.

This restaurant does not know the difference between a chapati and a Paratha.lousy customer service.will never order again from here.

Absolutely lovely. Fresh and fragrant flavours. Really recommend the chicken Balti, dhansak and dhals. Friendly and prompt service and delicious curries. Feel very lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Poor. Burned breads, undercooked starters, cold and tasteless mains. Tikka starter was decent. Nothing else was... A disappointing waste of time and money. Shame.

Do not order delivery, only collect as it always takes ages to arrive. However food is super good. Always get an Indian from here when visiting my mum.

Really flavourful, well presented, generous portions and good value for money. Ordered from here twice and it’s always been ready quickly - they also found our house with no issue and delivered very speedily! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a really good curry takeaway in the area.

Best Indian I’ve ever had. Food is always hot and tasty. Staff are always polite and the delivery driver Michael in the little green car is never late and always a delight to deal with.

This review would have been a 5* as the food was tasty. The 1* is down to their delivery driver in the Black Honda Accord who I caught vaping huge clouds in his car which contained my food, with all his windows closed. I received my order covered in second vape smoke. All that nicotine coating the food packaging. The open popadoms had to be binned because they would have actually been contaminated. Thankfully the rest was packaged, so could still eat. Was very close to throwing the entire meal away, but thought as it cost so much and I was starving so just accepted it. Please consider replacing your driver because he clearly has no idea about food hygiene. He is making a mockery of your wonderful restaurant. So many other peoples meals will have been contaminated because of him.

Working locally in the area and thought I would try this place. Ordered chicken madras, plain rice and a plain nan. At £12.30 thought it wasn't to bad a price till I opened it up. Chicken was a bit strange, it broke up when fork was pushed into it but it was quite tough. Sauce was only half a tub, could have done with a bit more. Nan bread at £2.40 could have been a bit bigger. Was only about the size of a small dinner plate. Rice was nice. Where I live I am used to a full tub and a large nan for a bit cheaper price. Only tried this place because the local chippy was closed. Hope it is open tomorrow or it is going to be a drive somewhere else for food.

Very average …. The massala and the bolti was good but the Bhajis were awful and the korma was bland no taste and just lacking on flavour, chicken seemed to be of a low quality

A gorgeous curry. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the curry itself was delicious! Unfortunately we're not local but if we were, we would be ordering regularly!

First time we've had a takeaway from Spice Garden in several years, and what a treat! Fantastic food, all freshly cooked and packed with flavour. Delivered on time and good value, too. Highly recommended.

Ordered a delivery and 2 hours later still not arrived! Have always used this shop before admittedly normally collected and had good service, but after this time and the last time for delivery taken so much longer I definitely will not be using this company anymore! The worst part is I only live about 5 miles away which takes 10 minutes drive maximum, was told it was leaving in 3 minutes as driver only just got back!

was told delivery would be between 1 hour and 1 hour half. 2 hours had past and still nothing so I called they said it was being brought to me now. Another hour had past and still nothing so I drove there to get it myself in total took me 3hours 30 min to get a meal for me and my partner. When I got home and opened up my food looked like it had been run over it was disgusting and cold. And to top it off my partner has been sick this morning. I have never done a review and still feel bad for leaving this review cos generally the food is brilliant. But never again will I use them.

This small Indian takeaway have always gone the extra mile with our vegan requirements. All in all very good food and service. Saturday deliveries can take over an hour, but worth the wait.

This is one to avoid. Only delivered part of the order, then said the driver would turn around and complete the delivery. 40 mins later the rest arrived, too late so refused it. Very argumentative on the phone so will not use them again. Didn’t refund.

Very disappointed yet again, as the order didn’t arrive. Telephoned to see why, was told order was forgotten about. I asked if I could have a discount as I had waited a very long time, to be told they don’t know how to refund when ordering online? Will definitely not be using again as this isn’t the first time. Wouldn’t recommend.

Was told it would be 20 min wait time then I waited for 45 min to open my food when I returned home and they had served me the wrong dishes. On calling the manager his response was sorry I made a mistake and he would not give me a refund as he just replied he made a mistake poor poor customer service and cold taste less food it's a real shame

This was a take-away meal for a group of Indian-food aficionados. We ordered several dishes (including vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free) and enjoyed the food a lot. Will return next time we are in Benson.

Ordered there rather than by phone. Very good service , 15 minutes. The food was very good. We tried this takeaway as the one we have used for years in Watlington has not been so good lately.

Really nice food and good for a range of different tastes. Have ordered from here several times and always received good service and tasty food. Only problem is the online payment won't accept card so you have to pay cash. They are always very friendly when picking though!

Reading other reviews it may be we were lucky... I ordered at the desk and popped across the road for a pint, came back, food ready and it was very tasty. In fairness I couldn’t fault it.... will report back if I have a takeaway!

Ordered take away for 5 people from this place last week and was thoroughly impressed. Ordered a number of dishes including the okra bindi bahji side which was great, the tikka massala which is also really good (is very rich so may not be to everyone's taste) and the vegetable balti which was definitely the highlight! Gave us extra poppadoms as well! Nothing was oily which can often be a problem with indian takeaways. also staff very friendly. Will be going again!

Completely appalled by the service. Delivery was running ten minutes late after already waiting 45 minutes (which is fair enough). Rung to find the delivery driver had not left and was leaving in five. I explained this wasn't acceptable as that would mean our order was going to take a further 15 to 20 on top of that to arrive!! They had my number and made no attempt to ring and notify me of the lateness. I asked if they were at least going to make up for unacceptable time especially when we had put in an expensive order and was told very bluntly no, there's nothing we can do. Felt very undervalued as a customer, especially when I know full well there was plenty they could have done to make an apology! (I work as management in customer services so I'm not new to dealing with complaints). Considering we make orders of 50 to 70 pounds as it's when the whole family gets together, they shall be losing out on our regular custom. And I certainly will be warning others to steer clear if they want to be treated with some consideration and get their food on time!

Would like to leave a review on the food but after waiting two hours for a home delivery we cancelled it and went out hungry. Not the first time that this has happened.

Always order online and collect. Usually a prompt service with food of a good quality. Decent portion sizes. Good range of authentic flavours. Have been a customer for the past 6 months on a weekly basis and have never been disappointed.

Awful Experience and Lied to several times. Ordered online for delivery (10mins walk away). It's a tiny village, so being told that the driver was lost, turned up at the wrong place, didnt have my address, etc. etc. left us having to actually walk there ourselves to pick up the cold food. We were advised that they would prepare us fresh food, but again, this was not done. When asked for a refund (as we didnt have our food), we were advised that this was not possible due to the payment being with a third party. Left us stuck. I should have read the other reviews from people who experienced the same. Please check reviews from other popular sites as well!

Hit and miss we used to use a lot. Call order through then pick up.however last few times food was luke warm.we live a minutes drive away

30 minute delay on top of the 30 minutes from ordering,. The operation appeared disorganised. A bit like a Gordon Ramsey kitchen nightmare. Food tasted bland.

Llamé al restaurante y la persona que discutió con la orden era correcta. La comida es terrible y horrible servicio de nunca jamás orden aquí. Despreciable y no totalmente debajo de la correa. Me compré una bolsa de comida para llevar tesco. Horrible! Preferiría no dar una calificación!

Pedimos la comida a ser entregado ayer por la tarde, ya que la comida había sido muy buena en la ocasión anterior. Me dijeron que tardarian una hora para entregar como estaban ocupados y yo estuvimos de acuerdo en que estaba bien. Si sólo hubieran sido sólo una hora! Después de varias llamadas telefónicas, incluyendo uno cuando me dijeron que sería otro, si sólo 5 minutos, la comida llegó 2 horas después de que había pedido. Lo siento, este no es aceptable. Parece ser que el director no estaba allí, así que no tienen el número de teléfono del conductor con el fin de ponerse en contacto con él para averiguar donde estaba. La comida, cuando llegamos, estaba deliciosa, pero será la última comida tenemos desde el jardín de especias me entristece decir.

Seis años aún tenemos un problema con nuestra dirección. comida genial, pero yo no lo trajeran porque el chico en un viernes no puedo entender mi dirección. Esta fue mi primera visita a la Spice Garden. Solicitar por teléfono y nos dijo que 30 minutos. La comida estaba preparada cuando llegué sin embargo cuando me dieron la comida casa y deshacer las maletas fue corto 1 porción de arroz. No vale la pena volver ya que toda la comida hubiera sido frío cuando volví. Fue una pena, ya que la calidad de la comida era excelente. usaré otra vez, pero será mi pedido antes de dejar la tienda.

We use the takeout service most weekends and can never fault the food. Delivery isn't brilliant, but know that is due to their staffing issues, we have only had a couple of occasions where we have been disappointed. Would still recommend

This was the local indian takeaway to where we stayed. Food was very good and reasonably priced. We stayed at Benson Marina, had a lodge with a hot tub and just wanted a chilled weekend, couldnt be bothered to cook.

Food is good however the delivery is just shocking. Had to wait nearly 1 h 30 mins and the prawns were like bullets, the chicken dry and the lamb inedible. They promise to deliver within the hour but this has now happened 4 times in a row! Don't trust delivery times.

Took over two hours to deliver, food was stone cold. Chicken was tough and very very greasy. Phoned management and no apologies

Rather a long time since I last used this convenient takeaway. Phoned the order through very easily to a cheerful young lady. Arrived 15 minutes later and given the fresh hot curry within minutes.As usual we were pleased with the food and thought it good value. We'll be back.

I am not a keen on the India cuisine, in general, but this was very tasty meal. I will visit again. They even do deliveries.

We have recently moved to the area and trying different places to eat we had tikka masala and lamb rogan the lamb was beautifully cooked and the chicken tikka was a good orange version. nice flavoursome kemma rice. and a nan bread for 18pound can't grumble

Use this take away every time we order Indian food now from full meals for all the family to just passing by and getting some naan or papadums to supplement a home brew curry. The food is of a good standard and of very good value. they deliver free at different distances depending on how much you spend in your order. Parking is available just down the road in the village centre. I recommend you try the chicken Akbari, a curry of mild spice heat level packed with almonds and cashew nuts, very nice flavour.

This resturant has to be my favourite now!! The foods at a alright/good price..(not like the delhi brasserie in Wallingford) The service is very good!! Staff very friendly!! And the food is just delicious.. As we don't live in benson we order our food to be delivered, (we only recently started using this place as we didn't know there was a resturant in.benson)we always receive our food hot n tasty, with free papodoms and sauces :-)).. I really enjoyed there mixed grill, lentils with meat and there keema naan is lovely!! We have also ordered meat vindaloo, and prawn bhuna which was also very tasty!!! The chef knows how to cook!! Very happy!! Highly recommend this place...
