As I walked into the Costa, I was hoping for a nice warm drink, but during my stride I was rudely interrupted by one of the employees, and she abruptly screamed at me and my friends, saying “NO, NO, CLOSED” in a very hostile tone. I was distraught, I held my head down in shame as I walked off, never to enter the shop again.

People are pleasent. Hot chocolate always has too much froth, despite me telling them. Always clean and tidy.

The staff are friendly, but I had iced coffee here it was so weak , I'm surprised it was even coffee, it was difficult to tell. I'm surprised that with several new coffee shops opening on the town that there isn't some more attention to quality of coffee being served here. Last week I had hot americano that was filled to brim of cup and very weak. Okay maybe people only like weak coffee, but I think if we want that way , we should be able to ask for extra water rather than only serving weak coffee

A really clean and pleasant place with great coffee and snacks and great ambience. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Costa .Generally now ,very overpriced . A regular latte £3.90 ....borderline ridiculous . Been sneaking up the price again and again since Coca Vola bought the brand(And probably overpaid for it ) - After today .....it's off my list .Enough . The Thame shop was quiet and clean .....Probably clean because it was so quiet .

Costa Kidlington is a lovely place. The offers are good too. Prices are accurate. Ferenc made a lovely coffee. I will definitly come back!

A bit dark and dingy. When I visited, the takeaway service took forever - appeared to be short staffed. Not a great space to walk into and I suspect there are better places to get a coffee in Thame.

Lizi, Deanna,olly and jemima all deserve a pay rise. They are amazing workers and always have smiles on their faces, never disappoint! The drinks with them are always bang on

I'm a fairly regular visitor to Thame Costa. They very kindly hosted a group I attended for a 6 week period before Christmas and we have since met there regularly every couple of weeks or so. It's lovely that they are supportive of such groups in our local community. Staff are always very polite, friendly and welcoming and drinks are always produced quickly. I don't tend to purchase food but have had the occasional cake which is always tasty!

The staff are very polite however are very inexperienced. They all appear to be teenagers. The place is always messy and they never have any food. They always don’t have something. No great.

Went in on a sunday, got served by lily and olly i think, they were so kind and helpful especially when helping me choose what drink i wanted. I will come back just for them!

Great service friendly staff and good coffee

Visited for the first time last Sunday. I think the counter in the middle of the shop is a bit problematic as when you’ve got your coffee you have to squeeze alongside the queue to get to the front of the shop. I ordered try drinks and I would like to say the staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. As we were leaving my partner had disappeared and he was offering the young people a tip each which they politely refused. I hadn’t commented to my partner on the good service he said he’d just observed himself how hardworking and yet welcoming to everyone that entered the shop. Well done Sunday staff in Costa Thame!

Ok so I assisted one of my ELDERLY (90+) clients out for a coffee because after covid he hasn’t been out much so we thought let’s start with the local Costa- WRONG!!! We got to the coffee shop and ordered around 17:00 and then sat down for a chat and drink. I went back in to get some napkins and a member of staff ‘O’ literally threw them at me- a whole lot of them. His attitude was nasty since I entered the shop but ignored him. Anyway the plot thickens, it got to about 17:20/25 thereabout and a lovely young man told they were closing and would need to pack up so we said no problem we’re almost done. Mr ‘O’ came out and began bossing my ELDERLY client and holding onto his drink and tray to take it away saying we’re closing. So I got mad and said excuse me there are several tables and chairs to pick up do them and leave us for last. Mr ‘O’ came back out and said well we will finish collecting everything in 2 mins so you need to go now we ignored him. Anyway my client poor thing managed to finish up his cappuccino and was getting up and holding onto the table for stability again Mr O now standing over my client and attempting to move the table whilst he is leaning on it to avails falling and breaking his hip. Whilst there were 4 chairs to still collect but he was adamant on being nasty to us. Imagine I wasn’t there to advocate for my client he would have ended up in an ambulance headed off to hospital all because he wanted a coffee. Shame on costa and Saha me on Mr O. No regard or respect for the elderly. He was mannerless and nasty. I wouldn’t want to meet him again ever!! Stay away from Costa Thame!!!

Handy access to WiFi and the staff are all nice so I sometimes go in here to work for an hour to get out of the house. Other than for this reason, I'd always opt for another cafe in town. There was a lot of dead flies in the window last time I went in too.

What a shame that Costa Thame has noticeably deteriorated since our last visit. The coffee was almost undrinkable, the staff were totally inexperienced with no concern for the comfort of the customer. One young girl even sat on the counter talking to a colleague! The overall appearance of the table and chairs was "grubby". Our rating would be 3 out of 10. We feel that both the staff and the coffee shop needs a total refurbishment.

Slow service, grotty interior, couldn’t even add chocolate sprinkles to a cappuccino because they had run out! Seriously?

Exclusively good service in Thame Costa. The patience and customer service of the staff is something that should be studied by anyone who is dealing with the general public. Just witnessed a splendid display of how to politely let a customer know that they'd maybe been a little abrupt - calm, clear and curteous - masterclass 👏

Terrible! Big chains, poor pay, low expectations, easily met. Very slow service, queued for about 10 mins and then advised 5 mins later no medium cups. It was against company policy to put a medium drink in a large cup. Decided to get our money back and left. Nothing much else to say!!! Except, won't be going back!

Open when the customers need them, and enough early birds to prove they're right. Staff, even at that hour, bright and attentive. Good to be there.

Not as good as it used to be,in fact Costa has gone downhill throughout the UK since the company was sold to the Americans

I would like to thank the barrister who was on shift on the 1st of March 2023 around 5 pm. Not only did he make me a wonderful cappuccino but also seeing that I was cold after my long marathon training in the rain he gave me his jacket and let me hold cup of hot water. All of the team members on shift had great customer service and this particular barrister was efficient, calm and kind with every customer. I was really impressed and shocked by how wonderful the service was. I felt really valued as a customer and think this particular barista needs pay rise!

We have a poor opinion of Costa in Thame. We visit regularly, along with many other Costa outlets, and when there's a problem it's always at Thame. The latest issue is a broken fridge and no cows milk. Now, after days of this situation it is still not fixed. It's just one more example of poor management and a sort of 'take it or leave it' attitude. We know of many local customers who now go to other coffee shops in the town. Someone needs to get a grip.

Two young guys, one nice polite very sympathetic, ( five stars ) The second one, after he didn't understand what I meant, ignored me and sent me to his friend. very rude behavior!!! Secondly, my friend, take care of your hygiene more and don't stand at the cash register with a stuffy nose (noodles in the nose ) .!!!

Plus ca change: one year ago..."This place is falling apart. No investment since it came to town, cracked tiles, peeling paint and generally dilapidated. The tables are rarely cleaned - bring wet wipes if you want to drink in. Continually understaffed hence the cleanliness suffers. The poor staff are completely overwhelmed most days and struggle to keep up. Management need to get a grip. ".... maybe management haven't yet found the mole wrench....

Very slow service. Trays not collected. Side of good display very dirty with smears and finger prints. Table grubby. Behind the serving counter and preparation areas very messy too. But a good brand representation for Acosta!

Drink took ages. And my sausage roll has like eating a rock it was so overcooked because the drink took soo long to come. Won't be going there again

I love Costa but Thame is getting tired and the experience can be random. Sometimes spot on sometimes so slow and running low on food 🙄

I called in for an office coffee take away. No que, 2 staff were polite, and friendly. The coffee and cakes came quickly although the person before me sent back his as they weren't hot enough. Once at work I did notice ours were also not very hot either but wasn't going to drive back there. Price reasonable. Cakes always perfect and tasty. I will go there again,perhaps, stay in and see what the atmosphere is like.

Needs a revamp. Luke warm coffee. Guy serving was great. Took a long time to receive the drinks.

The staff try hard to give food service with staff shortages. Food is okay and plenty of options to choose from. The place needs deep clean though. Windowsills are covered in food and dust, need a hover running through it for about an hour straight I should think and the bathroom needs more attention. But you find these problems in most Costa Coffee Shops.

I had a free reward yesterday for my birthday to which I thought whilst I’m in Thame I will claim it and ordered it through the app. This was roughly at 4pm. When we walked in it was clean, tidy and the boy serving at the till seemed very polite when serving a gentleman in front of us. He called out to his colleague to make the drink which the gentleman in front had ordered. Whilst doing this, he walked over to see where the online order is processed and walked over to where the desserts are all whilst holding conversation with the colleague. He called over to his colleague if he’d tried what I’d ordered and his colleague said “yes I thought it’d be a donut but when you bite into it it’s like a brick”. Now normally I don’t care about what others say but in this scenario it isn’t about what they’re saying about what I’d ordered, it’s about the way they speak openly in front of customers about products which could be extremely brand damaging. When the boy at the till then offered to serve us, I told him we were here for the online order that they’d just stood there giving bad promotion for. They both then burst out laughing as we collected and we both left thinking how immature and the lack of respect they have for the company. I wouldn’t usually complain however, I work for a big food company and know that certain things that are said and behaviours are indeed brand damaging to the company. It may be a small encounter and a small phrase but I always find that things like this always have the biggest impacts on people’s opinions. I must say, the Christmas wreath dessert I ordered was not like biting into a brick and was rather tasty.

Good service and friendly staff but the coffee was disappointing.

Used to be a good Costa. Not any more. Tasteless frappe and barely filled panini. Scruffy and dirty, (what was that on the floor, and how long had it been there?) with used crockery littering tables. Won't ever go back, will use the drive thru Starbucks at the services instead. Even MacDonalds would be a better choice.

Costa have gone downhill lately. The quality of the brew is fuelled by the passion of the barista and lately it seems there is none.

Would highly recommend!! Craig who works the till is very friendly and polite and loves to have a good chat. Even when it’s busy he keeps his cool and drivers exceptional service! Give that man a raise!

Typical Costa. However, this branch was struggling to cope with a large queue.

I asked before my order if I could combine Costa card points with a gift card and the answer was yes.. only to later be told no by a manager when I was about to be handed my coffee. Please train your staff properly.

Excellent service from Craig, Tyler, Dan. Always very welcoming and friendly. I ordered a flat white and was served within 5 minutes, tasted great and made my day.

Great service with good social distancing measures in place. Usually the only breakfast place one can find in Thame early on a Sunday morning. Can get quite busy at times but the guys behind the counter usually do their best.

I just went to this coffee shop with my friends this afternoon. I was so disappointed with the staff here. First, I ordered a cup of tea, they charged me £2.85 for a capuccino. Second, when we had just sat down at the table the waiter came and said "Excuse me! Have you finished?" . So I said "do you see that we just sat down and our coffees are still full?" and 1 minute later she came and grabbed our coffee cups and tried to take them away. She kept coming back and said "Excuse me! Have you finished?" 5 times. My friends and I had to leave because we couldn't bear it. I don't think we will come back here again.

Was disappointed with my cappuccino, found it was just hot milk with shot of espresso. No texture to the milk. Staff where wonderful and friendly though.

So bad, you could smell the sour milk from outside, it’s even worse inside, FILTHY with black mold showing under the peeling wall paper. Staff looked totally overwhelmed. Costa you should be ashamed

Just out of interest, I stopped in for a coffee and was disappointed to discover that their coffee has not improved in any way and still has this weird after taste which is really very unpleasant. It has to be said that every time I ask a member of staff why the coffee has this horrible after taste, not one of the employees I spoke to, has been able to explain it. If you want good coffee go somewhere else.

Place was grubby, the coffee tasted watered down , the cappucino foam should be more like thickened milk, they seem to have mastered a way to make it like shaving foam , seems like 95% air, saves money on milk I guess, Also guessing the claim on the day to have no washing machine so take away cups only, is a way to save hiring help.

A welcome refuge for a coffee and a bacon roll. Freindly staff. Standard coffee chain offer, though the interior was a little tired and shabby and the loo was out of action.

Usual Costa experience. I saw them treat one of their older deaf regulars with utmost respect and served him with upmost respect and care

Very busy on Sunday, staff not really up to the job. The place needs a good clean, floors were filthy, tables needed cleaning and the finished with items clearing and the chairs also needed cleaning. Coffee was OK but the lemon muffins were stale. Of the chains I always choose Costa, but not this one again.
