Good bar, small inside, great atmosphere.

Too small in every room. Some would say it adds to the appeal but for a 6ft 2 person it's not appealing.

Quick glass of wine and look around. A trip down memory lane for someone in our group. Staff friendly. Wasn't busy, but it was early in the evening.

Touched the curtain and got kicked out for missing with CCTV… literally touched and didn’t even move it, ridiculous manager

Magoos is a great friendly bar and has kindly hosted our regular jazz jam for over a year. It is also a niche music venue and we are looking forward to our jazz band, Blue Magoo performing there soon.

I had a lovely pizza made by Oscar Wilson. Very tasty and delicious I loved it. Oscar was very professionals and friendly and made me an amazing pizza! Would recommend

Our friend was falsely accused of attempting to steal, which ultimately resulted in our removal from the premises. Lovely, characterful late night bar in Henley. It perfectly fits the character of the town.

Quirky, pub at the front ad a cracking little nightclub out the back. Will definitely return.

Very rude staff. They seemed to be arguing with every customer about weather they had paid entry. I saw one couple pay for their entry and then shortly after get kicked out because the manager said they hadn’t paid. I saw them pay at the door. There are a lot of dirty scams going on in this establishment. Every time I go here it feels like I’m getting hustled abroad!

Bouncer kicked two of us out for opening the door to the outdoor area, after our group of 8 had paid £20 a head to enter (the only marking on the door says "PUSH TO OPEN" and there was no signage to say 'do not open'). The same bouncer then lied to Holly, the manager, in front of us claiming we were aggressive and messing around in the bar's garden. I am sure you have CCTV cameras and the ability to check if your staff lie to your face or not. Have visited 'Magoos' many times in the past whilst attending HRR, and have even recommended to friends - neither will happen in future.

The best and worst bar I've been to.

Myself and 8 girlfriends came in yesterday late afternoon as we were celebrating a 43rd birthday. We were in high spirits but only 4 drinks in and we'd just had a large meal so far from drunk. The place was empty but from the offset the guy behind the bar was unwelcoming. My friends went to use the loo and my friend saw a panda mask hung up in the opening of a room with an open door and put it on to come downstairs. She was just being silly and mischievous but causing no harm. The guy behind the bar, came over and physically snatch it off her head and stated he was annoyed as it was in the office. She didn't realise that as door was open and she hadn't gone that far in! Despite tmour apologies he remained hostile and we left. The guy who's name I believe was Sam. Could have easily asked for the mask and explained it was in a room that's meant to be for staff only but his handling of the situation was aggressive and lost them a good bit of money during a quiet Time of day.

Certainly adequate. Decent pizzas.

Good drinks....good service....good staff...good architecture....good vibe....good hospitality....good location...good facilities.

Great time in here all the time especially on Thursdays on the karaoke! Lavo is a legend always looking after everyone with a smile!!

Not a bad place to end your night but not the best either. The DJ is playing some pretty good tunes on a Saturday night and you have a good selection of booze and places to sit either in the bar or dance area but it never quite clicks as a great dance venue. But then again this is Henley and it is probably the best in town.

How do you expect to make money when you turn us away and the age to get in is 22. Don’t like it

Horrendous. Bouncer claimed I was drunk when I was not. Tried to get back in an was making accusations of me insulting him. Sad to see a good place fall so far.

Males stay away!!! Girls who throw up outside are allowed in but any male who takes a wrong step is not allowed in the bouncer and manager will not allow anyone in who is a male who has had 1 drink

We came for the bottomless pizza and cocktails deal….. £30 for a pizza and as many cocktails as you can drink in 90 mins.. our bar tender was Holly she was absolutely awesome. Each of the cocktails was easily worth £10-£15 and we smashed a fair few making this an absolute deal!! The vibe, decor and ambience where exceptional. Great prices awesome deals and great chat. 100% new favourite cocktail bar top points A++

This bar is incredible! We came here for bottomless pizza and cocktails and were outstanded by the service and helpfulness of Holly who gave us the most incredible cocktails. Can't wait to come here again!

Probably the most eclectic karaoke bar I've ever been to. A group of us more mature (in age not spirit) students went to the bar and had the most amazing night. Just pure much needed fun after a long day's lecture!!

Wouldn’t let me in because apparently i don’t look old enough, i had my ID with me and showed them all of my social media however the man on the door said i didn’t look my age therefore i spent 25 minutes trying to get in whilst all my friends were already in there. ended up having to go home and ruin everyone else’s night because they wouldn’t let me in

Went to magoos on my stag do. Bearing in mind we are a pretty chilled bunch of people. Was in there for about 15 minutes. Nobody dancing, everyone sitting at tables. One of my friends makes one jokey dance move and a bouncer swiftly comes in and removes him. Bizarre. I won’t be going again. Magoos used to be fun but now it’s a stuck up little dive bar.

Very unfriendly and unwelcoming behaviour from Irena, made us feel uncomfortable just for having my leg resting against my husband's leg whilst we were relaxing! Really terrible service from her, shame because the other staff seemed much nicer and better at communication. Would unfortunately recommend to avoid

Pizza's not being my favourite food, when I do have a gooden it stands out. I have to say, this was one of the all time greats. I couldn't get in my mouth quick enough. Super flavours & cooked to perfection...10/10 on the Pizzometer.

My husband & I were recommended this place for a couple of drinks and the only negative, was that we didn’t have enough time there! Great vibe, staff, ambiance, shesha, prices & overall experience. Definitely recommend for a good time!

Me and the children needed somewhere chilled and relaxing after a Hobbs hot open deck boat trip this place although narrow and small from the outside, extends very far back and has a delightful secret segregated garden patio style with seating area booths ideal for Covid restrictions with a lovely view of the church, pretty lights and a calming feel. The manager is very accommodating and the Covid restrictions have been very well planned out. We would of stayed for pizzas however unfortunately we had these the night before, if only they just did another 5 main dishes for abit of variety we would of stayed, even a salad. The drinks I think are the cheapest in Henley and have a wide selection and the most affectionate cat which pleased my daughter.

I had my first experience of Magoos recently. Was not what I expected. The place was fun and really busy. The drinks a reasonable price. The toilets clean and the choice of music had me on my feet all night. That and the JD. The staff friendly. Was disappointed to have to pay an entrance fee.

Samual 'lavo' on multiple occasions has either abused his power or made invalid threats towards my piers as well as false accusations resulting the removal and banning of a few of my mate's. As a result we have migrated to the bull of which the staff make you feel welcome the drinks are much Better for the price you pay also the music has diversity. Overall 'Lavo' abuses his power all the time makes you feel uneasy and overall is a nasty piece of work.

We held my sons christening party at Magoos a couple of weeks back and had the best time. The venue was perfect and staff couldn’t do enough to help. From booking the venue through to the day everything went very smoothly, we were able to get in and decorate as we wanted. Would recommend for any party, the venue and staff are great x

Baby shower held in the back room here went very well and the food was good . The only problem we had was finding it. The exterior sign is hard to see.

Best pizza in town, wonderful toppings and sensational base. Call and collect option very efficient, even late at night. There is no reason to even consider the usual pizza chains when this far superior option is available.

If u want a night out in Henley... look no further sir here trust me I’m a regular. Nuff said. Don’t take ur wife as 16 year olds will try steal ur lass. Avoid the Indian man in a blazer who is a sip of corona away from having a seizure. Smoking area is so small couldn’t even park a smart car in there. Quite fun to be asked if u are the male stripper that a hen party has hired. All in all this place never fails to deliver. If u want a weird one u are sorted. Trust me daddy X

Wonderful Bar....Garlic bread was dreadful but still a decent location.

We booked Magoos back room and garden for the a party the day after our wedding. They were so helpful and accommodating. We pre-ordered food, which was delicious (people were raving about the pizzas!) and it was a fantastic day and we can't thank Magoos enough for helping it run so smoothly.

We celebrated our hockey team’s end of season with a meal and drinks in Magoos. We had the Vault booked out privately for our party and the rooms ambiance was perfect for the occasion. Laurence, Rose and the team all worked hard to ensure we were well looked after and the pizzas were par excellence. The complimentary ice creams for dessert were an incredibly kind gesture and enjoyed by all. Thank you for a wonderful evening and for looking after us so well. We will be back!

Working down south first pub we went in. Stayed there all night got out at 1.30 am. Friendly bar lady good atmosphere.

This is a 'marmite' pub, I think people will love or hate it. For us it was pleasant and staff friendly and accommodating. Lots of younger people coming in while we were there and it is open until the early hours next morning.

Almost a tenner for a cocktail which is then served up in a plastic glass?! Whole place lacked atmosphere or style, such a let down...

Had my 40th birthday party there at the weekend and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish in the planning, organisation and hosting of the party. They were great at helping me plan food, drink and entertainment for the number of guests I was expecting. The food on the night was delicious and plentiful, and the decor is great. Such a wonderful atmosphere and their in-house DJ is brilliant. So professionally done in every way and can’t recommend them highly enough!

Venue way too small and mega expensive drinks. Dance floor the size of a postage stamp and bouncers seem to follow you everywhere?! Constantly have to squeeze past people to get anywhere. Garden closes at night and smokers are forced into a tight alleyway at back/side of venue. Bar staff not overly friendly either.

Enjoyed calling a pizza in over the phone, collecting and returning to our boat in the summer! The truffle pizza is delicious! Just need a bigger selection of pizza toppings!

El edificio tiene carácter con diferentes salas si la gente quería alejarse del baile, con un jardín iluminado con luces de hadas y fogatas. Incluso tienen las mantas más cómodas para mantenerte abrigado.Laurence y Rose fueron fantásticos e hicieron que nuestro día fuera sin estrés y el personal brindó un servicio excepcional.Nuestros amigos y familiares disfrutaron y comentaron lo mucho que les gustaba el edificio.El día de nuestra boda es inolvidable y volveremos.

Our friends had their wedding reception here. Just out standing work from the owner down to the bar team. Beautiful venue and would highly recommend to others. Top marks from us.

My wife and I were in Henley looking for an after dinner drink. We stumbled across Magoo's and it was excellent, we stayed for several hours enjoying the unobtrusive live guitarist and all round terrific atmosphere. Definitely the best place for a pint in Henley.

Estábamos en Henley un domingo por la noche para celebrar mi 30 cumpleaños. Encontramos muchos lugares cerrados y fuimos a Magoos a tomar algo. Inicialmente nos sentamos afuera en el jardín donde todavía podíamos escuchar la música en vivo y atrapar los últimos rayos de sol del día. Después de 20 minutos se puso música en el jardín y escuchar esto bajo la música en vivo fue un poco molesto, así que entramos. Luego nos quedamos para otras 2 bebidas puramente para poder escuchar al tipo que era realmente bueno. Mi esposo le dijo que era mi cumpleaños y me cantó Feliz cumpleaños. También más tarde, en toda la barra, una ronda espontánea de Footballs llegó a casa después de la gran victoria de Inglaterra ese mismo día. Un gran hallazgo en Henley e hizo mi noche.

Fuimos allí para tomar unas copas tranquilas con amigos cercanos. Personal encantador y muy buen ambiente. Estábamos teniendo un tiempo legítimamente bueno hasta que decidí usar los baños de hombres. Para mi sorpresa, alguien se había encargado de defecar en uno de los urinarios. Este repugnante acto realmente arruinó lo que fue una noche saludable. No sé qué tipo de establecimiento permite este comportamiento, pero fue literalmente un show sh * t real y no volveré.

Nest place to go late night drinking in Henley. Great atmosphere, good dj's great choice of drinks and a massive dance floor. What else would you need.

Great live music. There was a young guy and he was excellent !Just popped in by chance, the atmosphere was great as was the service...opted for a small pizza at the end of the night which was superb...

I am disgusted of the way I have been treated by the management of this place Sam and his assistant manager. I have contacted the sun and and the Henley standards and the town Council I will be going public about this I have also been in contact with quite a few more people that feel the same and someone else who has told me that they were kicked out because she was seen in the toilet with her boyfriend on camera which is disgusting that they have cameras with in a disable toilet!!!! I will do everything in my power to make sure no one else gets treated the way I did in front of loads of strangers........ I have only put one star as it doesn’t give me a choice....

Refused service for no reason at all, myself and my friend stone cold sober and waiting patiently (more than happy to look at the cctv for proof of this...). Asked to speak to the manager Sam as to why that was the case, he refused to listen and asked the bouncer to remove us. I will be perusing this further and I'm looking forward to another face to face conversation with the pugnacious manager.

Had some after dinner drinks here, not the first time we have been here. The cocktails are well made, taste great and way too easy to drink, the free jukebox on a Thursday night was a bit of. A treat, but didn't make up for the slow service, some 30 minutes to get cocktails for 4 of us and only at most 10 people including us at the time, in the venue.

Busy at night with good mix of drinks and clientèle. Min spend on card is £10 though.

Hard to say something negative about only place in town open late over weekend.. Fortunatelly theres no need for that 'coz when it's full, and usually is, there's only one person you would sent home..and that's dj.. 😉

It feels like you have done something wrong as soon as you walk through the door. The bouncers keep a beady eye out on everyone which is uncomfortable especially when you are out for a good time.

Horrorizados cómo, en cómo nuestro fin de semana multitud trataron en este bar! Somos un grupo de 5 parejas más jóvenes es más antigua es de 57, 46 estamos caravaners que fuiste al menos 3 / 4 veces al año siendo la última explosión de octubre antes de ir de nuevo en abril. Fuimos por unos tragos en el bar y estaba allí como una hora, luego uno de nuestro grupo dijo que él ya no estaría sirve como él tenía suficiente para beber? Nos quedamos perplejos que éramos las únicas personas allí tocando música de los 80 en el cuadro de duke, nosotros habíamos estado bebiendo, pero estuvimos bien? Fuimos a salir cuando pregunté la razón de ser uno de nuestro grupo pidió drogas! No sólo es ridículo no era tan cierto. Mi amigo preguntó dónde sería dirigiéramos un lugar divertido para ir? Con música, etc? Ninguna mención de drogas! Creo que este dice más sobre su personal del bar que un grupo de mediana edad caravaners! No volvería de nuevo.
