The best restaurants in South Oxfordshire South East

Posted as open on website on arrival closed despite welcome board outside. So very dissapointing

Lovely quality Italian food. Staff are particularly helpful and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the best restaurant in Henley, wonderful tasty food and excellent service from friendly staff. I've been coming here for years and it is consistently good.

Came earlier in week had jacket potato and was very nice. My problem is the lady serving was so miserable I understand long days and working in nice weather not fun but please smile or put that frown upside down. Returned today had sandwich and the young staff are an absolute joy but she appeared from kitchen still as miserable come on your letting the side down.

Barista is in super rush to make coffees. This shouldn’t be the way of making coffees. I had to return my coffee unfortunately. Costa needs to train its baristas immediately.

Had seen adverts for The Cheese Shed and liking cheese wanted to know what it was like. It is a very large barn, set up with tables & chairs inside with a small shop, and service area for getting food (they only do The Toastie £6.95) & soup, Smoothies & hot drinks. The Toastie is just a cheese Toastie made with cheese they make on site, it was very nice, gooey, you don’t get a choice of cheese in it or what type of bread but it was simple and tasted good. There is a large seating area outside the barn with a few children’s activities again simple but ok if the weather is good. They have a large car park area well marked out, as I think it could be busy at times, entrance is at the Benson end of Nettlebed, seemed as if we were going into a farm yard. The toilets are only portable ones don’t know if there is plans to put in permanent ones. Dogs are welcome but there were no signs of any ‘poo bins’ around which might have been good, but again someone would have to pay for them to be emptied. I would go back.

Very impressed with the food. It's better than in Turkey. My partner's family recommended. The place is very clean and organised. Good value, will order again.

Had a really lovely meal here. No room for dessert but the starters and mains were delicious & a great portion. Staff were lovely.

Virtually empty cafe, still had to wait 20 minutes for a single coffee. Not acceptable to keep customers waiting while the staff have a little chat. Came here with a friend just for coffees yesterday. Really good. But why does it take 20 minutes to make when we were the only customers waiting for drinks.

I took my daughter and grandchildren for a treat of a pudding and a drink on Tuesday, it brightened up a miserable rainy day. The Manager in the Thame branch was extremely accommodating and pleasant.
