Fantastic service, always looked after by Becky and the team, go out of their way to do off the menu curries for me, great value for money and the best Indian food around by quite a distance. Consistently delicious!

£50 a month for a membership when others are £45 and the gyms are 3X bigger…

Tried one last time after a couple of disappointing visits. Chips were dark and soggy and had been cooked for a g e s, the left and fish was cooked freshly but not left to drain. Ate it in the car outside by which time the chips were limp and the fish was stodgy. Please come back the people who ran it before, they were excellent. I could not have eaten more than a few mouthfulls even if I was starving. They have not improved with time.

First time I have been for a meal here and won’t be back! Overpriced lasagna poorly presented - layers of fresh pasta topped with bolognaise sauce. Had difficulty finding the bechamel sauce. Meal not very warm.

Fabulous tasting and good portions. Proper meat in the doner. Long wait but that's what the pubs around are for.

Nice amount of Fish and Chips and reasonably prices compared.Went for a medium cod and large chips. Had to leave some for the next day. I will def go back because it was delicious and they served me real quick.

Top food, try the Salt and Pepper prawns... They are amazing. They only take cash, so be prepared. Favourite Chinese in Thame. Hands down!

Lovely traditional bakery and cafe, serving a range of tasty food and tempting pastries. The staff were very helpful and the coffee was excellent. A good place for a coffee and cake, or a light lunch

After a long dog walk not too far away, and with a lack of cafes around that area we came to Thame town. Had a nice walk around and tried to find an easy quick place for a sandwich/panini which wasn’t too expensive and wasn’t a chain. After stopping at another cafe near by I was reluctant to pay £8.50 for a panini when I didn’t even want to sit in and nipped further down into this place! Beef, blue cheese and rocket panini for £4.95 i think, was perfectly adequate for our needs. And there was plenty of other choices I would have happily gone for. Nice place, friendly chilled vibe, bit more basic. The menu, or bits of paper scattered around on the wall could possibly do with a design upgrade. Do I think it’s the highest quality, that would match the £8.50 alternative, probably not. But is it priced perfectly for what it is. Definitely. Sad to see this place hasn’t had more reviews. The young woman behind the counter possible could have done with some energy. Sometimes you might be having a bad day but hospitality doesn’t have any forgiveness for that. Deserves for people to keep it going. (This isn’t my first time here either, I visited a while ago, likely last year and grabbed a milkshake after a hard days work when working in the area and the milkshake then was very good too!)

Helpful customer service and good food

We were staying just outside Thame and decided to order a takeaway. We ordered Lamb Pasanda, Mughal Chicken, Niramish and a peshwari naan. The order came and was pipping hot. All the dishes tasted lovely and delicious. Highly recommend trying.

Sadly, I have today experienced what some other reviewers have found - Rumsey's is unwelcoming and you get ignored whilst waiting for a table. The food (soup, scones, cakes etc) is actually good, but it would be really nice if the staff could acknowledge customers, say "hello" , smile and say " Please find a table - we'll take your order in a minute or so". Basic hospitality goes a long way. The owner, Kate, was even there at the time!
