Fantastic portion sizes. The food is always fresh and tasty. The thame whopper is by far my favourite burger. And the staff are super friendly and helpful. Would rate 10 stars if I could.

Ana and her husband and daughter are the most lovely people I have ever been served by, so polite. The fish and chips were lush, not dry or the batter thick and tasteless as other review. Also had a burger before and that was moreish, thick with lovely fresh salad. See you guys again soon.

Best chippy in Oxfordshire by far , there kebabs are amazing and a great price there chips are tasty and genourous portions , you have to try the Thame Burger it's definitely a favorate with us.we have never been dissapointed with this chippy.

The batter was doughy and thick not crispy. The fish was dry, bland and overall extremely disappointing. The chips were soggy. Portion size was huge but left most of it. Am sure small changes could improve these issues, but as it is I will not be returning

Just had the worst cod and chips I have ever had two identical meals barely eatable and wasted, fish was eighty percent just very hard batter in both meals and the chips were tiny bits and soggy, been coming here for years but never again,over the road next time to Smarts

I don’t like to leave negative reviews but we just had another really disappointing meal from The Chippy and I’m hoping this might provide helpful feedback, especially as both times we’ve eaten here have been bad. The batter was really thick, had no crunch, was doughy and the fish to batter ratio was all off. The chips were also really soft and none of them had any crunch. Perhaps everything needed to be cooked a bit longer? Something needs to change because the meal was inedible. The portion size was generous, however.

It's a take away, so the atmosphere is like any other chippy. Good food, but the chips can be a little soft and great at times. Excellent kebab, my family tell me.

Came here as smarts closed easter Monday. The worst cod and chips I have ever had. Extremely Greasy batter and fish with zero crunch, mushy greasy chips. Payment taken by man who did not show me the amount it was on card payment machine. No hello no thankyou. Awful place. Keep well away.

Live in Chinnor. Happily drive to Thame to get food from here. Hard working staff, great food, decent prices and loads more for your money than other establishments.

Great food. Cheapest around for 20 miles . I'd say best chippy in Thame. Would like the fish more crispy but thats just me . I would go here than rubbish haddenham chip shop. Plus they open Sundays witch I love. Such lovely people and always welcoming.

The worst fish & chips I have ever eaten, the batter was rock hard on the COD, obviously cooked well in advance. The chips were broken oily little bits & pieces. Seriously not impressed, hopefully there is a better fish & chippy in Thame.

Always busy in here. Arrived at 8.45pm on a Friday night, with big order for 8 people, which was cooked fresh and ready in 10 mins. Was trying to impress our guests and certainly lived up to their expectations.

I moved to Thame just under 4 yrs ago and I went to the chippy the first time back then and I have been going ever since the customer service is absolutely fantastic the staff in there are so friendly I have a large family and I’m sure they love it when I go there as my order is never a small on I give the chippy 5* every time thank you x

Have not visited this place in a while but just had a delicious cod and chips with curry sauce today. The chips and cod were cooked excellently and it tasted a lot better than I remembered. They’ve clearly upped their game - worth a try if you haven’t been for a while 👍

My child and his girlfriend came in here. My child’s card got declined twice. So the lovely person running the business gave my child free chips. The chippy will always be loved by me and my wife.

Don't order doner. The one I got from this place was hands down the worst doner by a huge margin. It was meet only (no salad) with so much chilli oil that it poured through the 3 layer of wrapping paper partially because they didn't close either side of the wrap so the doner content had a free way out. The owners should really go and at least look at a doner sold by an authentic place before put it on their menu because they clearly have no idea how to make one or how it should even look like. My wife's fish and chips was soaked with oil, made the car small like used oil in an instance. I'm not gonna go back to this place again.
