Just bit into a chicken ball and pulled A hunk of plastic out from the Middle of it! That’s vile and disgusting Practices, if they’re allowing plastic into cooked items

Food was very tasty. Amazing service. I would highly recommend this place.

In my order, I got burnt rice and the rest of the food didn't taste nice as well. Waste of money. I will never come back again.

Unfortunately last night we had the worst meal ever considering there is 5 of us so it cost alot it was horrible, cold tasted like soap some of it seaweed was so oily duck tasted horrible just awful won't use here again

Food is usually decent, however I’m one of our dishes last night ( bean sprouts) this was found a metal!!!! Absolutely shocking I left a message on messenger and shock no response

If you like chillies the beef szechuan is for you!! And me!! Fast take out. Not disappointed

Very good Chinese, food was very flavoursome on the whole. The service was very fast and to time (for reference I did a collection order). Added bonus was that it was also at a reasonable price for the amount of food purchased. Would definitely recommend.

Not great. Too much salt and MSG, fried rice was dry and my pork and mushrooms in black beans sauce was swimming in oil. Won't go there again.

We visited Thame and used Thame Recipe for a takeaway. We had high hopes as the reviews looked ok. It arrived on time but went downhill after that. The egg fried rice and chow mien was tasteless with zero flavour and were really watery. Very disappointing and not worth the money IMO. Gave 2 Stars due to good delivery time and the BBQ Ribs were ok.

Visiting from hk and I must say the food here really does not disappoint! Highly recommend the fried rice, curry and aromatic duck. Will definitely come again next time I am back.

Nice friendly lady, quick service and tasty food.

The staff were great and got the order spot on. The chicken and cashew nuts in yellow bean was really good and the rice too. Whilst the flavour of the chilli and garlic bean curd was good, the bean curd had been burnt until crisp. Two of the bean curd puffs were perfect, but it had been way over cooked. Some of the prawn crackers were soaking in oil. The seaweed was below par and expensive. We tried here just to test it from our normal in town. I think we’ll stick with our normal.

Standard menu, but very good ingredients, very well cooked (and quickly) and of such a size that we had a meal from the left overs. Will use for all Chinese from now on.

Up and down on quality of takeaway

Fantastically well-made food, and courteous staff who are sometimes even willing to make small edits to an item. Maybe the best Crispy Aromatic Duck I have EVER eaten, and I'm from the Orient itself! Vegetarians: Ask for the Beancurd, but with the Spicy Honey Glaze! Phenomenal! Reasonable prices and delivery times, well worth the quality of the dishes!

Really good Chinese. Also portions are very good. Another sign of how good is the delivery times can be along wait and when ordering the phone lines are always busy. We collected our order but still had to wait for 3/4 of hr from order...bearing in mind this was a Saturday night..well worth waiting for sure.

Forget the rest this is the best fresh hot and tasty every time. Never get your order wrong and deliver on time. Susie is a lovely lady and her team are fantastic.

Great food from this place. The only issue is it is SOOO hard to find a menu. We are not on facebook. We have to scroll through google to view someones second hand menu. I decided to try another chinese in Thame with an easier website and now we go there instead. Sort it out Thame Recipe. You are a good take away. But you make it too hard to order. Get a website with a menu. And why is it cash only? Its 2021. You wont attract any new customers. Word of mouth isnt enough. Not a negative review. Just constructive criticism

Enjoyed the take out! Not long waiting time. Food was tasty and they included some prawn crackers for free.

I was pleased to find a Chinese which both delivers (a few miles from Thame) and supports bank transfers! So no need to have cash at home or provide your card details, great during the Covid restrictions. Food was piping hot, took under an hour (7.45 on a Saturday night), was a good price and very nice. Five star food hygiene rating too (from Nov 2019). Well done :) I’d definitely recommend them. Only gave 4 stars as it’s our first from here, will review again when we’ve had a few more.

A great Chinese for a low price. Was able to pay via bank transfer which was handy and delivered in an hour. I’d definitely use Thame Recipe again.

The peaking duck was gross, it was supposed to be already shredded but it was almost ground and it was a really strange and fatty texture, there was hardly any actual meat just fat and a massive bone chucked in, which makes no sense due to it already being shredded. Worst peaking duck I have ever had hand down. The noodles were pretty disgusting too, loads and loads of actual noodles not much veg or chicken, mediocre flavour. Everything else was just okay. Will not be going back here!!

Just had a take away from here and have now found our new regular Chinese. Really nice food the best seaweed we have had in a while. Meat not dry or watery. Good size potions and well priced for the quality.

Friendly service. Butterfly prawns were overcooked and somehow a sweet and sour turned into king prawns? overall, good quality shame about the mistake.

Not impressed at all. Been here 3 times to get food. And have to wait 15 minutes for someone to even come out and serve you. You can see through the door that they are sat down watching football. By far the most inconvient Chinese in thame

Great Chinese food at great prices

An OK Chinese takeaway. There's a variety of dishes, with healthy portions given at reasonable prices, but the vegetarian selection is a bit samey. All the meals in this category come in the same sauce and contain a meagre selection of vegetables - usually just carrots and fennel - but at least Tommy Yaki highlights what is a vegetarian dish, unlike other takeaways in the area.
