A local treasure - really delicious breads and pastries. This has become a regular for us and it doesn’t disappoint. The team are really friendly and accommodating - we asked if they could make almond pain au chocolate and they were more than happy to.

Some of there fresh bread appears to have hole in the middle

Just went in here and bought the last pepper and feta soup, they might as well of given me a cup of hot water! Horrible

Best sausage rolls in the world

The ladies here are always very quick and proficient, with their job. Most of the time, it's a simple three minute wait for small orders such as a drink and a sandwich, which is always appreciated.

Always been a superb bakery. 30 years ago I worked nextdoor and their pork and apple baps were every morning's highlight. Passing through this morning I tried to buy a sausage roll, which was soon upgraded to sausage and bacon in a roll. It was superb and I think I could have bought everything else in the shop. I will stop more often to investigate their rather amazing range of sandwiches and baguettes

Fresh baked good every day. Freshly made to order sandwiches or ready-made ones available, hot pies, sausages/bacon etc rolls and barista coffee made fresh to order.

Was not cheap and all I had was a sandwich, and I was quite disappointed to get back to find they'd used the end of the bread (crust) for one half. It was my first visit, and I don't think I'd go back unfortunately l.

Best bakery around, food is really good. however, the amount of butter they put in the sandwiches is absurd.

Bit pricey bacon is virtually dry everything else all good, could do with more variation tho

Fresh products, good value, friendly staff.

Traditional friendly bakers, always nice bread with a good range of sandwiches and pies. The Lardy Cakes are superb.

What I eat from here is good, however, I never quite understand the pricing, sometimes it seems very expensive for a small roll, other times it seems cheap for a big filled baguette. Always fresh, staff always polite and friendly.

Saturday morning 10am - No pasties or sausage rolls in Haddenham branch. No probs, I'll drive a mile down the road to Thame to find out they didn't have any either, 5 minutes later. 🤯

No patisserie but a decent lunch

Delivery driver was rude and clearly has no respect for his job or the company he works for. I was stopped and shouted at by one of The Cottage Bakery delivery drivers this morning in my local shop where he was delivering sandwich's to the store. The driver was behind me whist driving up to the village shop (Not following the high way code stopping distance in the rain). Once I got out my car to go into the shop the extremely rude delivery driver started shouting at me, telling me the narrow hill we was driving up this morning was a national not a 30 MPH. I explained to the driver that it is pouring with rain and the hill is very narrow, yet the delivery driver did not seem to care about the way he was speaking to me. Once the driver left the shop, the shop keeper and myself was laughed as we was shocked what we just witnessed. The shop keeper gave me the drivers name and told me to contact the company - Awaiting a response from the company. Extremely unprofessional and not a good look for the company.

Visited the cottage bakery whilst on a family trip. This has the best cakes in the world. I also spoke with a lovely lady Kelly who asked me how our day was and was so friendly and welcoming. She is an absolute asset to your bakery. We will be back again on our next trip

Wonderful bakery and a fantastic breakfast

I bought a sausage and bacon bap from the Cottage Bakery Van that comes round to my workplace. Was shocked to find that the sausage in my bap was raw and hadn't been cooked properly at all. Luckily I noticed this before eating the whole thing but predictably this gave me food poisoning. I do not recommend any hot food food from here.

Love this place. Excellent cakes, sandwiches and drinks. Reasonable pricing as well, a bit cramped but still worth going to. They also serve warm pastry’s as well which is a bonus!

Great bakery in general - but I couldn't find a list of ingredients for their produce anywhere on the packaging or online. While the bread does taste great, it doesn't have the honesty of an ingredients label to show just what's in the bread to help customers decide if what they're eating is in fact healthy at all - which is the entire point of freshly baked bread - that it doesn't need preservatives to support shelf life. They do an organic loaf, but only a few times a week. I'd love to see this become more available. They have a broad local presence with their delivery lunch vans, so have become quite well-known to local businesses and locals. But they need to cater to customers who are health conscious.

I couldn't fault this place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Fairly priced for what you get although obviously higher priced than more standard bistro fare.

I am a regular at the cottage bakery and there egg and bacon baps are fantastic. It is very good value for money, great Sevice and if you get a window seat upstairs ideal for watchihg the world go by. Thank you Jane and team.

Nice pies and fresh bread at good prices

fabulous hot beef roll delicious, glorious bread and cakes , special childrens novelty cakes try any of their delicious goodies and you will not be dissatisfied .

I am always greeted with a warm welcome every time I go to The Cottage Bakery, Thame. The staff are really friendly and helpful - if they don’t have something on the shelf they are more than willing to check the stock room or order it in for you. I have also noticed they are trying to get in new product lines to cater for modern tastes as well as keeping their traditional lines. I am one of those people who has always used the local supermarkets for my lunches, until one day I decided to give The Cottage Bakery in Thame a try. I was really glad I did because I felt that it had more of a personal touch. Now I wished I had supported them sooner being a local family run business.

I ordered bread and rolls for a party, the staff were really great and the bread was amazing would highly recommend this bakery.

I saw a lovely white loaf in the window.Went inside and asked for a loaf (as I waited I noticed a few flies buzzing around and bread all uncovered ) and the lady behind the till used her bare hands to pick it up, slice it with the bread machine, bag it and then proceeded to take my change with the same bare hands. So she's handling filthy change and then handling the bread with no gloves/hand washing. Not wanting to be confrontational I just accepted the bread and I fed the ducks with it. I won't return.

Not only lovely home baked breads and cakes (almond croissants, mmmm) but hot and cold savouries such as pasties and sausage rolls. Always very friendly staff.

Multigrain bread (low GI) is absolutely outstanding. Staff are efficient, friendly, helpful and polite. A pleasure to go there.

A great independent bakery. There's a wide variety of bread, cakes and drinks available at reasonable prices, and staff provide a prompt and friendly service. It'd be good, however, if items could be labelled for those with dietary requirements.

La casa de la Panadería hace algunos panes realmente precioso. Me gusta especialmente su "pan rústico". Gran lugar para conseguir un almuerzo barato y sabroso para llevar. Disfruté especialmente el jumbo rollo de salchichas (caliente) y el rollo de huevo con mayonesa de berros contaminados. Si pasas por la mañana pide un rollo de bacon delicioso. Buenos precios y una buena variedad para elegir.

Durante su estancia en Haddenham, encontré esta panadería cerca. Fui el sábado por la mañana y la tienda vende muchas variedades diferentes de pan artesano. Tienda estaba ocupado con que vino en coches y a pie. Altamente recomendado cuando se visita Haddenham. Creo que tienen una panadería en Thame.

as bakeries go this is the best in thame, a good selection of some of the best baked good daily, the only let down is there is never enough sweet treats, surely if something always sells out very early, you make one more or two until it finds a level.but alas if you want a lardy cake you have to get ther at opening because to us mere mortals they have gone by 9
