The food is impeccable and always fresh and piping hot with me exceptions. I read the reviews and reading Nicholas’s review I don’t think it is accurate the food is restaurant quality and definitely value for money. You can see where the money goes it’s in the quality of the food and service delivered. Let’s face it if it was that bad you wouldn’t go back even if it was the only option unless you are incapable of cooking. Highly recommend excellent Thai

Sally’s Café in Otford is more than just a café—it’s a place where great food, warm hospitality, and a sense of community come together perfectly. I visit around three times a week, often with my family, and it’s always a highlight. The incredible team—Ruby, Georgia, Becky, Ruby May, Claudia, Sally, Ellen, Saskia, and Georgia II—are so welcoming, making every visit special. One dish I always look forward to is the “Ipanema Eggs,” my personalized breakfast inspired by flavors from Brazil. It’s not just a meal; it’s a mindful ritual. The dish features three perfectly poached eggs from local Kent farmers, smoked salmon, avocado (likely from my home state in Brazil), and a slice of granary toast. Here’s the ultimate way to enjoy it: 1. Cut into the eggs first: Let the creamy yolk flow onto the toast to soak it up, creating the perfect base. 2. Next, savor the smoked salmon: It’s rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, helping with muscle repair and boosting brain function. 3. Move on to the avocado: This creamy superfood is full of heart-healthy fats that keep you satisfied and energized. 4. Finally, enjoy the eggs with the toast: The eggs provide high-quality protein, while the granary toast adds just the right amount of wholesome carbs for lasting energy. The combination is delicious and perfectly balanced, making it my go-to breakfast. Sally’s is also a family favorite. My daughter Sophia always recharges here with her favorite flapjack after horse riding lessons, while my son can’t resist the lemon drizzle cake. And of course, the hot chocolate is a must for both of them! On Saturdays, the café is alive with energy as my son’s football team gathers after training at the Otford grounds. Go Dragons! Whether it’s for a hearty breakfast, a sweet treat, or just a coffee and a chat, Sally’s is a true gem in the community. The warm atmosphere, locally sourced ingredients, and excellent service make it a must-visit. Thank you to the wonderful team at Sally’s for consistently making our visits so memorable! Highly recommended!

Beautiful spot, lovely old building. Had been before and had a nice time, so decided to take my husband for a birthday lunch. Since we have a small dog we weren’t permitted in the restaurant- a disappointment but fair enough. We were disappointed by the bland overcooked rather tepid food available in the bar. Limited choice too esp for vegetarian options. Even the fries werent great. The staff were frazzled, stressed and unsmiling. Perhaps due to the hectic crowded environment but a smile would have been welcomed. What a shame. Hope it was an unusual poor experience, but quite a few areas need a look it based on the above, in my opinion.

Would never visit again after my recent experience; have been here a few times; usually good and I even forgave them for a burnt omelette once before. It was busy today but we were not in a rush, so that was fine. No paninis left (at 12.20pm! ) so my daughter had a ham / cheese toastie, which was ok. No smoked salmon either so I asked for a cheese /onion toastie. It was awful, the onions were like they had been fried for a burger. Yuck. So I took it back, and one lady insisted they weren't fried (my daughter said that was the taste, too). So finally, i got an egg mayo cress sandwich. Had a nice pot of tea and a J20. The courtyard really needs a tidy up, brambles, and overgrown flowerbed. Wish I'd gone somewhere else : Think I was overcharged as welll : ( Must say though that 1 poor overworked member of staff was lovely though (lady with short hair.

I won't be rushing back. Just take a look at their very poor wine list. It's clear they place profit over quality. Within their so called ' fine wine' list LOL , They have a Chateau Pineraie Cahors Malbec for the staggering amount of £60. To purchase this in a wine merchants it's £15 . Now I realise pubs place a significant mark up, but this is ridiculous. It's really having the customer over for a 15 quid mediocre wine. We will not be returning!!!!!!

My friends and I visited the Bull in Otford whilst doing the Otford circular. We had booked it but on this day it happened to be understaffed which is understandable. We went to order food and a few items on the menu weren’t available which is fine but the staff were not very friendly. The food was tasty though and this pub does have a lovely beer garden so we enjoyed sitting in the sun.
