Great place to stop off in the New Forest for a meal snack or afternoon tea etc It looked as though it had closed down last time I was in Brockenhurst

Wonderful pub/restaurant . Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent just what was needed after a walk in the forest on a Sunday afternoon 🙂

Such a cosy place in this sweet town! We managed to order a few minutes before the kitchen was about to close and the portions were extremely generous! Fresh and tasty cod with an amazing tartare sauce highly recommended!

Went here for breakfast Sunday morning, found the staff member that served us wasn't interested in working here. We ordered two hot drinks and a small breakfast each but the hot drinks didn't arrive until after the breakfast had arrived and we had to ask the whereabouts twice. Other customers who came after us got their drinks before us. When they did come the hot drinks had to be left for a significant amount of time as they were boiling hot hot, the hot chocolate and cappuccino wasn't that good, not surprised as it came out of a machine you'd find in Whetherspoons. The breakfast itself was a huge let down, especially since the toast arrived without any butter, never thought I would have to ask for my toast to be buttered. Also breakfast is stated to be served until midday and 2 groups of people got turned away at 11:30. I wouldn't recommend this place, Whetherspoons has better staff, food and prices. Avoid.

We chose to stop here specifically as there was a rapid charger for our EV. The grounds are relaxing and quiet. The conservatory restaurant had a good atmosphere and the service friendly and courteous. We had the Gnocchi and Ploughmans for lunch. Both were very tasty and well presented. Puddings were light and refreshing. Prices are not cheap but good food is worth paying for. Having tried out the restaurant and general ambience we are very likely to arrange a weekend break here soon.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in the Hotel, all the staff were most friendly and helpful, the rooms were warm, there was a lovely open fire in the reception area and lots of places to sit and relax. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and our meal in the Thai restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the SenSpa very much and look forward to visiting again. Had afternoon tea here at Beaulieu inn yesterday 24th February 2025, for my partners birthday treat. Set in a lovely location and luckily the sun came out for a while so we could enjoy the beautiful view. Upon entering, we were welcomed with a smile and greeted promptly and professionally. The table was set beautifully and the drinks came in good time. We were asked about allergies etc as to change the menu if required however this wasn’t necessary so our food was brought out when ready. Displayed to perfection and a full detail of what we were having. I must say the food was delicious and the scones were especially good. It was an amazing lunch and priced right too. And for an extra little touch they made up a small plate with happy birthday written in chocolate and an extra desert piece which was very well received Many thanks to the staff at Beaulieu Inn. Highly recommend for any afternoon tea lovers!

After playing laser tag for a colleagues leaving do, 17 of us spontaneously decided to try our luck at this pub for lunch today. Not only was the (assumed) manager very polite, he managed to seat us all together in the marquee, and not only was our food served in record time - it was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area

Spent an enjoyable 3 nights at Balmer Lawn but not sure we'd stay again. Hotel is quite local to us and a place we are familiar with and in lovely location in heart of New Forest. Staff were very friendly and attentive, breakfast was good with plenty of choice, dinner in the restaurant was very good, use of local produce always a bonus. However, we thought our room on the top floor was very drab and certainly not what we would expect from a 4* hotel. It was also noisy as above the outside terrace area and facing the very busy through road. Housekeeping was very good but there was no mini fridge to keep drinks cold or safe for valuables. The bathroom was small and having to climb into a bath to shower is not acceptable or safe. I did raise the issue of poor quality pillows and having a nice fluffy pillow would add to sleep quality.

Excellent service, the food was the best chinese meal we have had. Kung Po king prawn & a king prawn chow mein. Our now regular take away restaurant.

Wonderful experience! Food was brilliant. Argentinian asado cooking with an asian twist. We want to do it all again next year!

Great place for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. What more could you want from a quiet enclosed area with great tea, coffee and cake. Perfect.

A lovely location but a very unpleasant proprietor. Good customer relations are obviously not part of his job spec. A very unpleasant person. Avoid

Real proper genuine pub. Old stuff on the walls plus trad feel to the place.
