The best restaurants in Brockenhurst and Forest South East New Forest South East

We had a fabulous breakfast enjoying the continental and hot food , the staff made us feel very welcome and took photos for us nothing was too much trouble . We will definitely stay here again , great hotel.

My brother and my son were very impressed with this establishment, as was I. Friendly and helpful service, delicious food and a welcome atmosphere. I have already recommended them to more family members and friends. Parking outside was very much appreciated, as my brother needs a wheelchair.

We popped in for breakfast having never been before and happened to be passing. Lots of tables were already reserved which we felt was a positive reflection. Our breakfast was lovely, hot and plentiful and the drinks were served ahead of the food which was great. To make this five stars it would simply take a member of staff to say good morning when you walk in and walk past them, for a member of staff to actually talk to you at the table rather than just putting the food on the table and then going and for someone just to ask if everything is okay; all of that would have made a big difference especially on a wet and miserable day.

Really nice menu, sensibly priced and great service. The Philly Cheese Steak was faultless! Will certainly visit again. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at New Park Manor. The setting was beautiful as we were sat right next to the window overlooking the grounds on nice comfy armchairs. We were lucky that it was very peaceful when we attended. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, especially the lovely lady who served us (I think her name was Maria but apologies if I have got this completely wrong!). Food was delicious too! We also used the spa facilities in the afternoon and it was nice that the outside area had been done up since we last visited; there are now two hot tubs and more places to relax. I also greatly appreciated the new adults only time slots they have brought in as this gave some much needed peace and quiet.

I booked this as a special birthday meal for my partner. We booked for 8:30pm on a Friday night. It was the only slot available. So we knew it was going to be busy. We were very much looking forward to this. Having read the reviews it really did have potential. Unfortunately it was a real disappointment. When we arrived the restaurant had only three occupied tables, so we were very surprised. The atmosphere was non existent. We could only hear the conversation of the group of gentlemen in the front of the window. We ordered two soft drinks, and some sparking water. The water was poured. It was still. The starters arrived and were expensive, tasteless and massively lacked flavour. Prawn cocktail was bland, and terribly sad looking. We ordered pork belly, and a steak med/rare. No steak knives were given. The pork was massively over cooked, the steak was unseasoned and well done. We returned the steak and were offered a replacement. It came with a bowl of what looked like lettuce. My partner politely asked what it was, we really didn’t have a clue. The waitress confirmed it was a side salad. Wow! The second sreak came up rare, unfortunately this was also tasteless and unseasoned, and what looked like the same fries from the first steak. The waitress was so kind and helpful. We felt embarrassed for her. She apologised and we left the food and asked for the bill. When the waitress returned. She’d removed my partners steaks and only charged us for the pork. I was too embarrassed not to pay, but we did, albeit without the steaks. Such a waste. Maybe the chef was ill that night? We aren’t fussy, or awkward but this was lacking in everything.

Lovely food, had the sea bass for the starter which was done well and then had the lamb shank for the main which was great. The broccoli side was very under cooked and once the kitchen had closed the waiting staff seemed to disappear. They didn't charge me for the broccoli side which I appreciate but considering the price of the meal its basics. My starter arrived 5 mins after ordering and I had to ask for the main to come a bit later. I was told I could have 15 mins before my main which is fine but it came out after about 6 mins. The restaurant its self is delightful but I'm really disappointed in the service. I came back to give this restaurant another go. Massive improvement in service and hospitality. Saw the improvement in the quality of food as well. If you’re staying in the hotel it’s deffo worth a try… Glad to see they take our criticism on board. Wonderful attentive staff, 3 of the four courses were divine, was let down by the king prawn and crab cocktail, slicing a king prawn in half, and couldn't see or taste the crab meat. Beautiful setting but not a lot of atmosphere sadly. And be careful with the request for non alcoholic drink requests. That could have been tricky. Thanks for a wonderful evening 😊

In all the years we’ve been coming to the New Forest camping and staying in hotels we have always enjoy the consistency excellent food superb value for money and fantastic service from this restaurant and this visit was no exception to that. Thank you for a pleasurable meal.

Absolutely lovely place and nice food. My favourite beer. Gorgeous scenery and dog friendly. All customers you speak to are friendly. Shame the staff won’t smile and be polite. A particularly staff member of the bar called ash is very rude and as much use as a chocolate teapot. Apart from that, lovely place to come. Just Avoid staff

Lovely couple of meals outside . Pea and mint soup and garden pappardelle were delicious . Staff friendly and attentive . Foccacia with tomato dip unusual. The negative reviews were not our experience and we think the menu must have changes an awful lot as there weee no pizzas !

Fantastic cafe/restaurant that serves great hot food and cakes. They have recently doubled the seating.

We had a really nice Mother's Day. The food was fantastic and the staff really nice.
