Food nice, albeit small portions. My pet hate and something that is happening everywhere is being asked to pay for vegetables as sides when only a tiny ammount of a side given with main. Honestly the veg with the main dish is a kids portion. Two of our table left hungry. Nice setting though.

Me and my partner came in for dinner after a day out and were not disappointed! The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive and gave great recommendations. Service was quick and the food was so good that we couldn’t help but stay for dessert, despite our full stomachs. We will definitely back!

What a disappointment 😟. Poor parking facilities ( the spaces are far too short for a standard family sized vehicles ( leaving the car vulnerable to other passing traffic in the car park). Interior was tired and lacked adequate lighting. Menu appeared very appetising but quality of food was extremely poor - chicken tikka curry lacked any chicken, and rice served cold. Burger and chips were minuscule with a microscopic portion of coleslaw. Mixed grill - very poor quality meat - the steak was so sinus it was inedible. Advised pub is up for sale - hope the new owners runner a better and more atmospheric pub. Definitely won’t be returning under current management.

I’ll start with the positives: the staff were very friendly, they allow dogs in the bar, and it’s a good location. But MY GOD the food was unbelievably poor, both in quality and value. £24.95 for a roast that contained three slithers of meat, three tiny cold roast potatoes, one slice of carrot, one slice of cabbage, a small parsnip, and a stone cold Yorkshire pudding. And that was the “upgraded” Duo roast, with two meats. There was more empty space on the plate than food, which is hardly how a roast is supposed to look. A Black Forest knickerbocker glory was £10.50, and was just an average size ice cream portion. It was a family table of 10, with two impatient three year olds, so we didn’t send the food back, but certainly on another occasion would’ve done. Don’t eat here. Bad.
