Lovely rustic setting with indoor and outdoor seating. We popped in for coffee and cake with friends. I opted for a cheese scone which was lovely as it came with a slice of cheese and some chutney. My hubby had the carrot cake. Very generous portions. Lovely friendly staff, had a nice vibe, will definitely visit again.

Lovely tea garden adjoining Setley Ridge. Met with friends to introduce them to the tea garden. For some reason the catering manager has r chef thought it a great idea to serve both cheese and Fruit scones HOT Oh my goodness what a disaster. Cheese turned back to scone dough and Fruit once butter immediately soaked in yuk jam slid off horrible but I have eaten there before and scones were never served in this unfortunate manor. Go enjoy the food don’t order the scones

They have a loyalty scheme that clearly states buy 9 hot drinks and get 10th for free. But they actually only give one stamp per order. When we bought 4 hot drinks they said it’s one stamp per order. This is extremely petty and false advertising. They pointed out that at the bottom of the loyalty card they have in a tiny font the note about one stamp per order but this is clearly overshadowed by the large message about the number of drinks above. Petty and not nice.

Waited 40 minutes for breakfast today. When it came everything was overcooked apart from the beans and hash browns which were cold. ☹️

We stumbled across the garden tea rooms while out for a drive on a lovely, hot sunny day, driving through the new forest! The garden centre reminded me of my Nan &. Grandads old furniture shop with lots of little Nik naks and lovey garden ornaments. The tearooms was busy but nice and calm, we sat outside in the shade until a table became available in the sunshine, on the picnic benches. We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks and our food arrived shortly afterwards. We weren’t overly hungry but decided to share a sausage ciabatta and rustic chips, there was plenty! There were lovely homemade cakes too but didn’t have enough room for one. We sat and took in the sun and loved looking around all the lovely plants and trees that were for sale. There was plenty of seating inside too if u didn’t want to be outside. I would say they could probably do with some more picnic tables outside on a hot day and when it’s really busy to be able to enjoy the weather. There was a little shop too selling wine and different jams and preserves. A lovely little find. Staff were very friendly.

What a beautiful spot this is. We sat outside in the sunshine and had an amazing lunch. All the food was so fresh and tasty. Best cheesy chips ever!!! We were disappointed not to have time to revisit during our stay in the New Forest but will definitely return on another occasion.

Nobody seemed to know what they were doing and they were clearly understaffed. No manager or owner as they were ‘on holiday’. Very poorly run with children left to muddle through service. Will not be returning.

We came in for breakfast without a reservation on a Sunday morning and they seated us on a table but warned us it would be needed in just over an hour and the kitchen had a 30 minute wait. In the end, food arrived within 20 minutes and we had plenty of time to finish our food and drinks without feeling the need to rush. Service was great, and all the food and drinks were fantastic (especially the milkshakes). Thanks for a great breakfast!

Decided to enjoy breakfast at the Cafe we found earlier in the week. It was amazing. Service was fantastic and friendly. Food was delicious and well cooked. Tea served in a pot with lovely vintage mismatched cup and saucer. We sat outside in the morning sun beneath the undercover area. Oh how I wish I lived nearer and could visit more often. Dog friendly too with biscuits available for them. Much appreciated by our dogs.

A sandwich, a bowl of chips, a cup of tea & water…. Over £20!!!!!! Quality was nice, but crikey, what an extortionate charge! Not even as if the tables were that clean, and the loo was a bit of a trek too.

Called in for breakfast. We had a full English and a waffle sandwich. The full English had the usual, bacon, egg, tomato, beans and sausage. All well cooked with some toast too. The waffle sandwich was 2 potato waffles, bacon, cheese and egg with a drizzle of maple syrup. Quite tasty but became a bit dry as the egg continued cooking between the hot waffles and wasn’t runny. We both had lattes which were nice. It’s a nice atmosphere and good service, we will return.

One orders at the cash desk and a waitress brings your order. There was a long wait for our soup - it wasn't busy either. The soup was delicious as were the cakes that my friend and I ordered.

This is the second time visiting this little gem, but first time leaving a review. So visited with the wife and we had a sausage and mushroom roll ( wife) I had the toasted sourdough bread with mushrooms and pesto, with 2 soft poached eggs. For drinks we shared a very karge tea pot and bone china tea cups with saucers. All came out piping hot and all were delicious. Staff were very friendly and there is plenty of seating outside as well as inside. Definitely worth a visit. Next time might try some of the homemade cakes that looked delicious!!

Popped in here for first time on way back from an appointment in Lymington and received a very warm welcome. We both had a delicious coronation chicken sandwich and added a mug of homemade tomato soup which was very tasty. For a dessert we chose a chocolate & orange brownie and lemon & raspberry cake which were lovely. Will definitely return!

We stopped off for lunch at this delightful little place. I had a fish platter and my husband had a prawn sandwich. Wow! The food was so fresh and beautifully served. We sat in the garden, in the shade and enjoyed ourselves. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return there and would recommend it as a lovely place to eat.

Oh my…I cannot believe I am reviewing a tea room. We have eaten in the best Michelin star restaurants in the country….but hang on…this is a tea room. We booked an outside table in the shade, it was reserved, with my name on the table and in 30 deg heat, what a relief. We ordered two “croque monsieur” Words fail me, without question, the most amazing lunch of my life….and it was just a sandwich…no wait..it was a party in my mouth and you were all invited. Bravo to the chef, amazing, superb, keep up the fabulous work and unique standards. We will return…soon 😃

I love this place. Always lovely lovely staff. Always delicious food. The best Rocky Road ever. BEST CAFE IN LYMINGTON

Visited the Sail inn with my uncle who lives in Lymington. Previous experience at the pub had been very good however this visit has left a very poor taste in the mouth. While the fish and chips were adequate the use of some sort of paper to "soak up the oil" from the food was less than appetizing for my uncle who is elderly. While the stated serving hours were 12 to 3pm when I requested dessert and coffees we were told the kitchen was closed as the chef "had to be somewhere" Given the choice of quality establishments in Lymington we obviously regretted choosing The Sail Inn and won't be doing so in the future - the fact there was no warning that the kitchen was closing early is annoying however the actual decision to shut early on a Friday lunchtime in a competive marketplace is beyond me.

Popped in here for a breakfast, all the tables had ‘reserved ‘on them( a sign of a good place!) and we told the staff we were just after brekkie though it was nearing lunchtime. They reconfigured a table so we could eat and we had a lovely full english, quality sausages nice bread etc. will always go back there when we visit the forest
