The Thai food here is absolutely amazing. I’ve been to Thailand several times and this is some of the best food I’ve eaten outside of the country. We also went with our young son and they provided a basic, non-spicy, chicken noodle dish.

We arrived in our motorhome at 9 pm, the pub is very good, good music good atmosphere. Kelly has been super friendly and allowed us to stay tonight without trying to sell us anything. What a great stay over in our motorhome. It isn’t our first time but wanted to return. Kelly is such a great host and she has put some great work in to get the place looking trim for guests. We decided to try the Thai lunchtime menu and wasn’t disappointed. The starters and main Thai dishes were excellent and reminded us of our visit to Thailand. Keep up the good work Kelly. Really disappointing! Take away meal at same cost as restaurant so expected same or at least reasonable quality. Thai prawn curry had no vegetables at all so didn’t match the description listed. Starter of Thai fish cakes was throw away as bursting with oil and couldn’t eat them. Wouldn’t have written this review except for the fact we called three times to speak to a manager about it. Each time we were told we would be called back and yet we haven’t heard so they obviously don’t care.

Made very welcome and enjoyed our 2 night stay in their car park. We ate on 2nd night. Had a super Loas / Thai meal. The young chef can cook. There was entertainment from a 5 piece talented group. We would come back. Thank you for making us so welcome. Only drawback is the car park isn't very big so get there before evening trade.

We used this as an overnight stop for our motorhome before a ferry crossing to the IOW. We had a lovely Thai meal and a few pints before a good night's sleep. I would recommend this for anyone looking for an overnight stop in the newforest.

We've been to the pub twice since we found out there was a new Chef (with a notable resume at well-known restaurants) with a new Thai menu. The food is delicious and authentic! We met the chef and some of his staff who served the dishes, and they were all lovely. The pub itself is a bit tired and could really use 'freshening' up, especially with the new menu!

Food here is second to none - especially recommend the deep fried prawns starter - thank you

Stayed the night in our camper van in there car park with 10 other motor homes.

What a treat to find excellent Thai food here! We had the lunch menu, which was such a good value, and will be back to try more of the options on the full menu. The drunken noodles with veg had a huge amount and variety of veg, not just the token peas and carrots you get sometimes with veg options. I look forward to our next meal at the Borough Arms.

Although I didn't actually try the food it looked excellent most plates were collected clean. The bar Manager was the utmost host and was very welcoming 5 stars for me. It was a pub stopover and the location was perfect.

Seven of us booked to dine here, as two of us have lived in Thailand and miss the food. We had a lovely evening together. We all shared Mixed Platters to start. Arrived at 8pm with no booking. Seated straight away and friendly staff were attentive and chatty. Ordered red thai and green thai curries. Delicious food and served beautifully. Will definitely be back!

Found this pub whilst looking for a pub that accepts van stop overs. So glad I did, staff lovely, locals were lovely and the authentic Thai food was absolutely fantastic. Never would have expected such great quality Thai in a pub. We had multiple starters and 2 different mains. The seafood was fresh and cooked brilliantly. I will be returning even for non van camping nights. Thanks for having us ❤️

Saw an advert that Borough Arms had a new menu and were serving Thai food cooked by Thai chef so went to try it. The menu is now limited to only Thai and was obviously more limited than a Thai restaurant but a nice choice and food as delicious, tasty, authentic and served fresh and hot. The service however was disappointingly lacking. The order was taken by bar/pub staff and food served by Thai staff from kitchen. Didn’t see staff to order additional drinks etc. The pub generally is tired but the ladies toilets were disgusting. The light was very dim with one cubical having no light (bulb out) the other had lumps of pooh on the seat 💩🤢🤮. This could be such a nice pub. The food has always been good but service lacking and the bar area feeling like a kindergarten with toys and publicans children in situ, it’s like an extension of their home.

An amazing find, the Borough arms is perfectly situated for access to Lymington. The hosts Laura, Layla and Callum were brilliant, no request was too much trouble, they really made us feel welcome, so friendly and helpful and great food cooked by Callum, excellently presented, good sized portions and great value! The facilities were spotless! 10/10 for the team at The Borough! Looking forward to a return visit in 2024!

The Thai menu is fantastic. The pad Thai I had with the duck was full of good quality ingredients with plenty of it. The price was really competitive and the quality and service was superb

We visited the borough last night to sample their Thai and it did not disappoint. The meal was extremely tasty and authentic and I think they could be onto a winner here.

We stayed overnight in the camper in the car park, was some traffic noise overnight but bearable . Friendly helpful staff and locals. The food was good although no pizzas night we were there.

Pub kindly allowed us to park overnight in our camper prior to getting IOW ferry. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed on the night we stayed but the barmaid kindly suggested several other places we could eat nearby. After food we returned to the pub for a couple of drinks.

Visited to watch a live band 'Ultra'. Limited real ale choice but good service and great atmosphere

My wife and I are visiting from our home in Wales and booked a table for Sunday lunch. There was a very warm welcome, despite arriving 40 mins early! There was a choice of Turkey, beef and lamb shank. We chose Turkey and beef. Before the meal we had a draught Doom Bar ale and during the meal a bottle of Medoc. The service was quick and the portions had to be seen to be believed. Food, including a wide range of vegetables, was cooked perfectly. Great eating experience at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend and return again if in the area.

Incredibly helpful staff. I have special dietary requirements which were handled confidently. I had a very tasty take-away pizza and my family had delicious pizzas from the normal menu. It's so nice to be able to do this with the family, and for my meal to be gluten and dairy free without fuss. This is the second take-away meal we've ordered from this pub and we will be doing this again. Thank you for being so accommodating, it's greatly appreciated. Highly recommend.

Staff were extremely helpful. The food was good and it had a great selection of beers, we also parked our camper in the carpark overnight booking is advised, they left the toilets open overnight as well which was a bonus.

Stayed overnight in our camper van; a good night’s sleep and a pleasant walk around Lymington in the morning. Very friendly welcome. Excellent vegetarian food; the lasagne was delicious.

a gem of place to stay over, Laura and her family were very friendly and hospitable,as were the locals in the bar. she kindly left the toilets open for our use over night. unnfortunately food isn't available Monday and Tuesday, so we walked into Lymington which is only a few minutes walk away..A pretty town with a picturesque harbour. We will be back, this time on a day food is served, can't wait. T

We stopped over for the night before an early ferry crossing. Only stayed for a couple of drinks before getting the kids to bed but had a very warm welcome, a friendly offering of the surrounding area and information on the facilities available over night. Felt very comfortable to stay, we’ll come again and stop for food next time. Thanks

Spent 2 nights here in our motorhome.Ate both nights food very good generous portion .Staff excellent couldn't do enough for us . Locals friendly .5 minutes walk into town centre would recommend to anyone for food or stopover

We motor-homed here on Friday night, having been alerted to it on the Searchforsites website. There were a couple of other over-nighters in the car park when we arrived. The interior of the pub is comfortable, if a little quaint/dated. The thing that really made it was the friendliness of the staff, who explained that the beer garden toilets would be left open for overnight sleepers and there were even free-use plug sockets available for use. The menu is standard pub fare, with a reasonable choice of meals and desserts. Unfortunately chef had run out of peas - which is a staple accompanyment for the scampi menu option - not so attractive with carrots and broccoli, same with diane steak sauce. The pub is located less than 15 minutes walk from Lymington's scenic harbour area and the rest of the town's amenities. We would have stayed for the 'veterans' breakfast, but woke up too late to secure the only parking spot that would have allowed our 6m vehicle an easy exit from the carpark in the heavy rain. All in all a welcome overnight break from the road.

Going by trip advisor reviews we thought this would be on a par with say a chain pub, sadly it wasn’t, for our visit anyway. Food wasn’t great, we had starters, kitchen was mostly out of what wanted so they did add some extra stuff so credit there, steak was inedible and was sent back and refunded. Scampi was ok, skin on fries sounded great but the reality was a little limp. We ate inside, which was generally a bit grubby and tired and in need of a good clean. On the plus side staff were friendly polite and welcoming and refunded us the steak meal without issue. As someone else mentioned I feel this place is fine for a pint and game of pool but next time we’ll try another pub as there are lots to choose from in the area. I wish them the best and hope maybe it was just a one off on our visit.

Me and a friend stayed in our campervans overnight. The landlady is amazing as are her two grown up children who work there. Calum is chef and is incredible. Sunday lunch was the best ever. Highly recomended.

We cannot comment for a casual night out..did nit go for that. The pub is quite basic however, an excellent landlady who was very helpful. Value for money without doubt, do not expect silver service it was very good. Some customers were rather “loud” which could spoil it for some people. Ideal place to go in to.

We had tried to book on line for a family of 14 but was declined. The owner contacted us to amend the time to accommodate us. We had a great time with lovely food. Several of us had the Sunday roast with some interesting additions crispy curly carrots. Great chef all well cooked with the food arriving at the same time for everyone. Staff very friendly and couldn't do more o ensure we had a good time. Would recommend to everyone

We were able to park our campervan in the carpark for two nights which was a real bonus. We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival and enjoyed some drinks in the beer garden with the other campers. Our extended family joined us for an evening meal which was good quality 'pub grub'. I had the chicken burger and my husband the minted lamb burger....very tasty. It was an open mic night so the pub was very busy, but as our family were actually there for a funeral the following morning, it made for a great distraction. All the staff members were really welcoming, friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to return. They even kept the rear part of the building open for us overnight so we could use their toilets which was really useful.

On our first visit we were so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere & service stood out for me and my family. The staff took the time to chat and getting to know customers ,real personal touch.
