Out on a cycle ride this morning, I stopped on Lymington Quay and and Coffee and Drift was convenient. Cakes didn't have prices on them which I should've queried but was surprised to pay £7.30 for a coffee and a cake. Also had to wait for 10 minutes outside for the coffee to arrive. Disappointing

Had a day in Lymington. First stop coffee. Coffee was nice enough, average prices I guess. Order then wait outside for it to come out. I don’t know how that works in wet weather. We didn’t wait too long. Not sure if the seating across the road is for the coffee shop, but anyway it was full so we drank it on the harbour wall. The cakes seemed a little pricey. Nice location though.

I made a beeline here and managed to grab a flat white just before closing time. Had to have it take out, so it was probably not as good as it would have been with the open cup latte art and vibe of the place. Obviously well-brewed coffee from great beans, though. A tad expensive, but I'll be back.

They can walk across the street to deliver to their seating area, but you shall be a friend for that! Not busy at all when visiting, so that can’t be an excuse. Otherwise for standard customers, just wait outside and help yourself. On the top, prices are somewhat on the high end for the quayside.

Visited many times! We can’t not visit this area of the New Forest, without stopping by here. Great Iced coffees on a hot day. Gluten free & Vegan options, however if you are both of those, there’s only one option (BUT THE OPTION IS GREAT). We had the Chicken, Cheddar and Chilli Jam toastie, Avocado & Halloumi Bagel, and a Mango Lassi. The food was yummy and the Lassi was delicious. Yet again going to Coffee & Drift, we were greeted by noticeably arrogant and impatient staff. The food was provided to us with a completely expressionless and unhappy demeanor which for the price is laughable. This is an amazing place with the best friendly team and views in Lymington. Service with a smile and amazing coffee. Our fave choice for breakfast is the overnight oats which onlookers do comment on it when they see this huge montage of healthy oats and not so healthy biscotti. I’d rate higher if it was just for the coffee which tasted very nice. Just a very odd arrangement of asking us to wait outside round the corner for our drinks to be served. I could understand if they were busy, but I walked into an empty shop to order and there were no other customers behind me. Perhaps this is a policy left over from Covid distancing times. I felt like I was in the way!

Dreadful service, rude staff to the point we got up and left! So many good coffee shops to visit in Lymington (The Larder)!so this coffee shop is trading in its location only! Very poor. There were no clear instructions that this is a take away only during the summer, if only the staff had been friendly enough to explain this then that would have been clear. The people gathered outside were also confused and unhappy at waiting. Customers service was definitely lacking!

Birthday morning breakfast for Phil and Jo’s treating me to breakfast downstairs (we’re staying a week in an apartment above this cafe) I opted for a breakfast melt (sausage, streaky bacon, cheese on toasted sourdough) and a side of hash browns. OMG really good, top notch quality. I often worry about streaky bacon being too fatty but t this really wasn’t - best streaky bacon ever and one of the best brekkie butties ever. Jo went for a banana bread option with bananas, maple, cream etc, which was nice but she was too busy salivating over my sarnie to appreciate it. It was good but a tad heavy perhaps? Also fresh OJ was lovely. Jo said that the staff were very friendly. I must admit the staff down in New Forest places have all been really great and friendly

Went to the Coffee and Drift this morning, the opening times on the door said it opens at 8.30am, it was 8.53am when we entered the cafe only to be told they didn’t open till 9.00am. It was pouring with rain so we asked if we could sit inside and wait, we were told no because they needed to set the tables, so we stood outside in a doorway until 9.00am before going in. The table’s didn’t look any different. We then ordered two bowls of granola and a hot breakfast sandwich and asked if the hot sandwich could be served after we had eaten the granola, but the girl serving seem to make a big issue about it stating that they don’t normally operate that way and it depended how busy they were but she was quite rude to the point that we nearly didn’t bother. Because we had been before and enjoyed the food we decided to stay. The girl who brought the breakfast over was nice and helpful and the food was excellent, but it was just the attitude of the girl serving us and the fact that we had to stand outside in the rain that has really annoyed us to the point of writing this review. Good food but could have been more accommodating.

Visited the Sail inn with my uncle who lives in Lymington. Previous experience at the pub had been very good however this visit has left a very poor taste in the mouth. While the fish and chips were adequate the use of some sort of paper to "soak up the oil" from the food was less than appetizing for my uncle who is elderly. While the stated serving hours were 12 to 3pm when I requested dessert and coffees we were told the kitchen was closed as the chef "had to be somewhere" Given the choice of quality establishments in Lymington we obviously regretted choosing The Sail Inn and won't be doing so in the future - the fact there was no warning that the kitchen was closing early is annoying however the actual decision to shut early on a Friday lunchtime in a competive marketplace is beyond me.
