This is an amazing coffee shop in Dorking - the best bit is that they offer an incredible Gluten Free menu of cakes that taste awesome. I tried the taster mini gluten free cupcakes and loved the cherry and coconut and chocolate with salted caramel. Unlike some gluten free cakes these were sumptous, light and fluffy and you would not have known they were gluten free. They are made by the award winning cake maker who co -owns this coffee shop. They offer so many different options for anyone with allergies to gluten, soya and lactose. I will be visiting again to try some more delicious cakes.

Very pleasant in every aspect but an outstanding chicken and vegetable soup was worth commending as was the pleasant atmosphere and staff

Wonderful food stall selling locally sourced food. It operates on Fridays and Saturdays. Apart from the regular items of meat, veg and bread etc, there is always something new to be found, depending on the time of year. Star service is friendly and helpful. A great place.

I've eaten a lot of Chinese food in my life. From Soho to Shanghai to Singapore. I've had the simple, the fancy, the obscure and the extraordinary. Some good, some bad and some unpronounceable. Chifan fits exactly where it should in the spectrum. It's tasty, it's reliable and the staff are lovely. I'd happily order in here anytime. Ask them what you want and they will do their best to help. Ask for wine and they'll produce a surprisingly good wine - list. In short, this is a restaurant that does exactly as it should. The owner, Jessica, should be proud of what she has achieved. The people of Dorking are lucky to have her.

We heard of Jon through the Guildford Butchery (which is also a hidden gem). I ordered the Reubens People Co. Chilli Con Carne seasoning kit, and the House Rub. I can safely say that the seasoning kit led to the BEST chilli con carne I have had. The flavours had punch, the heat was perfect, and the kit itself was greta fun to put together. The experience itself was over and above what I expected. Jon is onto a winner with Reubens People Co. and I can't wait to try out the House Rub and Jerk Seasoning next!

Fantastic service, sadly my husband had some of the blue label in his wine which went un noticed until we mentioned it and I had a large bone in a small fillet of seabass. There was no apology, just a response from thr head chef of oh, that sometimes happens. This made me feel that we were there at their behest, not enjoying a relaxed Anniversary celebration as was intended. The waitress referred to my husband and I as guys which wasnt appreciated. Some incredibly odd food pairings of black garlic in a petit four and castel blue cheese and German sausage on a plate of Highland venison. It is the most beautiful building but I have enjoyed better tasting food in other locations. Sadly not for me, an8d I am classically trained in food cookery.

Went with a group of mates before our annual ‘Lads Christmas shopping’ trip. Not much shopping gets done so we like to line the stomach before we start. The food here has got to be the best Full English I’ve ever had and a I’ve had a few. Perfect bacon, not that salty cheap stuff, great meaty sausages, toms done to a tee…just great. Lovely coffee too and lovely atmosphere.

Hopefully this excellent coffee lounge will re-open soon. Visited just before the lockdown and had an excellent lunch in the sunny garden room. The staff were very friendly; the food was of high quality, well prepared and the prices were reasonable. It's well worth a visit, as it is home to a very large, fine quality antiques centre. We spent at least an hour browsing and purchased some silver (there is a wonderful selection of genuine silver and objet's d'art here). Dorking remains an old-fashioned market town and this tea-room is a gem.

Myself and my partner had a great evening, 3 course dinner and a lovely bottle of wine plus after drinks under 100 pounds. The staff were really friendly and the service was fast. I had fish which was amazing with side of vegetables. Really good food. We were thrilled overall and we loved the experience!

Awful! We went to this wine bar for lunch and ordered sandwiches. Firstly the sandwiches were awful! We ordered a cheese sandwich and opened it to find no cheese inside! The staff then went on to have an argument in front of us, leading to a waitress snatching a lunch off a customer because they gave it to the wrong table. For being a wine bar you would hope the staff could open a bottle of wine instead she struggled and handed it over to the customer to open! The food was slow, well below average and awful service! Don’t go!
