Delicious brunch! Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Staff were very friendly and efficient without any fussing. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Seating is arranged so that you can sit anywhere, long tables that can invite strangers to sit together if they've a mind to. Great idea. I had the vegetarian breakfast. Absolutely delicious. My first visit, I'll definitely be going back.

Another fabulous lunch. A limited but absolutely delicious menu of really interesting tasty dishes. Definitely a lovely place that is a bit different from the rest in the best way. Can't wait to visit again.

Favourite place to eat by a mile! I frequently visit and they are always consistent. Exceptional quality, exceptional staff, (they pick their staff carefully and it shows) imaginative seasonal menu, fair pricing (cheapest place for takeaway coffee), and a warm, friendly laidback atmosphere with great decor. Always top of my list to recommend ✨

One of my absolute favourite places, and can't believe I haven't written a review before! Fabulous food, both brunch and pizza. We always feel very welcomed and whenever the menu changes it's super exciting to find out what absolute genius meals they've come up with again! (Although I do miss the Mexican eggs, so crossing my fingers they'll be back this summer!) If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

I wanted this to be great, but unfortunately, through no fault of their own, I did not get to taste any food as the dishwasher had a sudden leak & the kitchen was shut prematurely. Despite this, I stayed for 15 minutes & ordered a coffee. Sadly, the coffee was not too great. Lacking both aesthetically & taste. The atmosphere here was very nice & the laid back, minimalistic approach to decor lured me into wanting to stay for the drink. I have read the food is very nice so am only reviewing on my coffee & the vibes the place gave which appeared very warming & calm.

Wow lovely pizzas and very good service. I came all the way from London and found the most Smiley staff and pleasant great vibes !! I was not sure about ordering a truffle, spinach and garlic pizza, but this turned out to be amazing and so delicate! I am Italian and I loved the combinations of these pizzas, very creative and not the classic Margherita! Will definitely come back and bring friends.

Brilliant food at a good price. I have eaten here many times and it always impresses. The menu changes regularly and the quality of ingredients is exceptional. My favourite place to eat in Dorking.

Andy and Louise have created a wonderful bistro with the best pizza in Mole Valley! A lovely relaxing atmosphere, great service and superb breakfasts!!! A terrific place to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or glass of wine and fabulous pizza!!!

Been here a few times (for their incredible pizzas!), but had such a great meal today that I had to review it. I ordered the aubergine shakshuka with chorizo, which was the best shakshukas I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot!). My partner got the duck and waffles - it was so good that he ordered a second portion!! Said it was one of the best things he'd ever eaten. They have a dog friendly area in the restaurant which we hadn't realised, and their drinks menu is brill as well One of my fave places in Dorking

I had the best brunch dish I’ve ever had here on Saturday. The duck and waffle is a must try on the menu! It was so delicious, I even enjoyed the kale and I normally hate kale! The service was excellent as always, flat whites were so good my friend and I ordered a second one each and just a lovely atmosphere in there. Great brunch spot with parking round the back!

HolmeStores is far and away the best place for brunch in Dorking. The HolmeStores Breakfast is really delicious, their coffee is excellent and the staff are always lovely. It's a little pricey but worth it for the quality. Yum.

New menu today and wow what a treat. We both had the Mexican Avocado, we added an egg and halloumi. It was Fantastic - highly recommend giving this a go.

We visited Holmstores on Thursday evening and was not disappointed! The sourdough pizzas are extremely tasty…..probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The staff are all friendly, it was such a lovely evening. We will be returning very soon 🤗

Been a couple of times before, but wanted to take my Mum. As an ex-restaurant owner and chef she's VERY fussy, but I knew she'd love this place and lo-and-behold she was over the moon. Said it's the best restaurant she can remember coming to in recent memory. Obsessed with it she is, all she goes on about. She's just had a hip operation, and when I e-mailed the restaurant to ask when a quiet time would be to come, so we wouldn't have to queue with her hip Andy replied and allowed us to make a reservation even though they don't usually take them on Fridays. From the moment we arrived, they spotted us coming, helped Mum to her seat, got her cushions and were just generally wonderful to us the whole time. Menu as ever excellent. Food sublime. Had the Mexican Eggs, Full English, Ginger Beer and Frozen Lemonade. Chorizo and Hash Browns as sides and shared a Sticky Toffee Biscoff cake for desert. Would give it 50 billion stars if I could. Best restaurant in Dorking, maybe even the world.

All the potential to be a great little cafe, but unfortunately mostly nice decor with okay food at astronomical prices. My partner and I had a salad (sadly soggy) a sandwich (wrapped in paper with no presentation) and two coffees and it was almost £45. Maybe we chose the wrong dishes but for us the food was just okay. The staff are lovely and make a real effort to be welcoming and warm, and the ambience is nice. Just very overpriced and a bit disappointing.

My favourite cafe in Dorking, customer service is exceptional. The food is amazing and a bit different than your average brunch. It’s always busy and you can see why.

We enjoyed amazing food on the small terrace at this lovey and unique bistro style restaurant. We went specifically for brunch and enjoyed a shared shakshuka for 2 and tamarind and turmeric eggs. My 18 month granddaughter devoured 2 beautifully cooked fried eggs on sourdough toast . We finished with iced coffee and lemon verbena tea. It was a delightful meal and we look forward to returning again .

Have visited twice and both times had lovely food which arrived quickly, but staff appear stressed and not super friendly! Not sure if we're just chosing the wrong days?! There's a sign saying wait to be seated but no-one greets you or even looks up to acknowledge you being there. Felt like we'd done something wrong just asking for a table when someone reluctantly came over. Lovely place for food but could feel more welcoming!

I eat out regularly across London but have to say this is my favourite place for brunch, and it’s well worth the journey to Dorking! I have to order the same thing every time because it’s so so good. The shakshuka with n’duja is insanely good. My friend ordered the mushrooms on toast which is meant to be amazing too. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been already!

What can you say. For me, this is place ticks all the boxes throughout the day from breakfast, lunch and dinner (pizza Friday only!) For starters, the food always delivers. Is NOT your normal cafe/restaurant food, rather fresh, modern to pushing boundaries, and wholesome. Secondly, it’s a nice place to enjoy the surroundings. Clean and rustic’esk. Lastly the folks here care about quality and have a small but punchy deli on site (with wine to go as well as the food with no compromise on quality!) Lastly, and a guilty pleasure of mine, hazy beers and guest taps. Like the food, they know what good looks like and the beers are always spot on. If I was to have it perfect, a frozen glass in the summer would be out this would 😉😉 Some say I am a little obsessed with this place, others know there is no completion like this in Dorking (not saying there are not good cafes, but this hits different….. also a big fan of cobbits!!!) 🤣🤣 Enjoy!

Amazing breakfast! Great atmosphere and delicious food, we’ve come back multiple times now and it’s consistently impressive!

Can't really fault this spot, great for a bite to eat and a catch-up or just a quick drink. Coffees, juices and smoothies are all excellent and their all day breakfast can't be beaten. Not a huge fan of bacon so I was allowed to swap for an extra sausage! All round winning at HolmeStores.

Love this place. The food is amazing as is the atmosphere but the best thing of all is the staff. They are so friendly and take the time to talk to you even when they are busy. Today I had the veggie monsieur which was delicious.

Popped in this afternoon for a quick bite following a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Went for the breakfast - so good I didn't get a picture!! Service was exemplary and good delicious. Will definitely be returning, also accommodated our pram with no fuss.

Really poor bacon was stone cold and £6.50 a Fing rip off never again shame not even sure if it was cooked property I left some of it on the plate

We loved our visit to this place. Food was so tasty, both went for the mushroom brunch dish. Service was fantastic, sorted us right out given the rush we were in. Gave them a tip which I don't normally do.

We absolutely love coming here for brunch. The staff are so friendly, the food is great and the coffee is the best in Dorking. I couldn’t recommend it more.

I love the food here. Different, imaginative and like nothing else in Dorking, using gorgeous locally sourced produce. On visiting recently in the daytime have had the Buddha Bowl which is gorgeous. Brought friends along too who were also very impressed. It’s nice that it’s also open on a Monday when most of Dorking’s eateries are closed. If we fancy food on a Friday evening this is where we’ll go. Pizzas are original and so nice. I had a caprese salad and flatbread which was the best I’d ever had (tomatoes were absolutely amazing) and the desserts are wonderful. Great selection of alcohol too. A lovely relaxed atmosphere makes for a nice chilled evening

Such a lovely local cafe that really pays attention to the little details that make food great. It's definitely on the pricer end of brunch but absolutely worth it for a treat. The food is generously portioned and beautifully presented. Great coffee, too (and locally sourced!).

Both I and my soul mate visited our friends who are Holmes Stores two starters , two pizzas , . Some say pizza is pizza well it ain’t you need to check these guys pizzas out . Top drawer wood fired perfection simply the best well done Andy &Louise your both on the money with what you deliver . Dorking you need to give these guys a try you won’t be disappointed. 🙏

Thursday and Friday nights are pizza nights and the pizzas are fantastic. The people are super friendly and welcoming. Took guests here and they loved it.

Wow. The pizza is incredible. Delicious, inventive flavours, and extremely fast delivery. I literally have no negatives to say about this place. If you want an amazing sourdough pizza with interesting topping choices and clearly quality ingredients then look no further

Was recommended by a friend to go here for brunch and it was a great decision. The space is open and airy and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly without hovering. We had the Mexican eggs which were a revelation, and the chocolate banana bread which was also delicious. The menu is quite adventurous but really well done. Coffee was also delicious. Highly recommend a visit - we will likely become regulars!

I don't think there's any other place serving food and coffe in Dorking that can can in any way compete with Holme Stores. Nice atmosphere, innovative and really good food and good consistent coffee.

The food, atmosphere and ethos of this place is a breath of fresh air. So much consideration at every step, from the menu to the staff, all being top quality! I have recommended in person to many friends and family so it’s only fair I make it public as the secret is truly out now. I have been a regular upon opening and will continue to enjoy this absolute gem of Dorking.

A must stop in Dorking!! I have popped into Holmes stores a number of time and used the owners previous business before and during COVID. They provide great options for those avoiding gluten. I have a very intolerant and they have always taken the utmost care. The food and service is great and I will always remember the extra effort the owners put in during COVID to deliver these great meals to my door.

Holmes Place is an absolute credit to Dorking with a great atmosphere, good strong coffee, amazing food and lovely lovely owners and staff. One thing that impresses and inspires me the most about this gorgeous small business is how they completely and effortlessly embody their values - sourcing local products, supporting British small producers, using sustainable energy and eco packaged produce to name a few. And all this without compromising one bit on comfort, experience or flavour. I visit regularly and really cannot recommend it enough - go there immediately!! ❤️

It’d be fair to say that one thing we are not short of in Dorking is coffee shops. So what makes Holmes Stores stand out? Well it’s the Goldilocks of coffee shops: not too big that it feels like a chain, not to small that you feel like you are part of three other customers’ conversations. The food is delicious and the menu changes with the seasons so there is always something new to tempt the tastebuds. Service is friendly and attentive, but not so much so that you have to do that awkward smiley ‘no I’m fine thanks’ every five minutes. And the coffee? Well of course that is top notch. And of course calling it a coffee shop is doing it a disservice, it’s so much more than that with a deli on the side and evening meals served on Fridays. It’s a little oasis of deliciousness.

We've just moved into the area and we absolutely love it here! The food is incredible, the decor is great, the atmosphere is serene and the staff are positive, helpful and very friendly. You can consider us as regulars, our favourite place in Dorking! Looking forward to our next visit!

Holmes is the best place for Brunch that I ever been too. The waffles are delectable. The staff are friendly. One visit I made my order including coffee and the waffles. I was told I was too late as the kitchen was closed, they guessed my disappointment and offered me a complimentary coffee. That it is customer care.

My favourite place in Dorking for brunch. Keeping up with the times and just what Dorking needed. Please keep the waffles on the menu.. my Dad will be so sad if they go! Also, anyone looking at the reviews complaining about it being cashless need to educate themselves and not be so rude! Keep doing what you do guys!

All was well till the lady whom I have reported my findings show no signs of apology. I found a piece of hard bone in my croque monsieur I almost broke my tooth - I understand that it can happen since they have used proper ham but her customer service skills needs polishing for sure! Shame...

Just visited Home Stores for birthday breakfast and it definitely didn't disappoint. Food was great and I particularly enjoyed the waffle with plums and pistachios. Super start to the day.

The Traditional Breakfast is hands down the best ‘posh’ fry up in Dorking - really nice ingredients, cooked really well. Chapeau. Keep it going. Ps. Is a great shame you have chosen not to let dogs in though (even just for the morning), we don’t have one but friends of ours would be delighted if you did.

The French toast and berries was delicious and the perfect balance of savoury / sweet. Really original choice of cold drinks, nice alternative to mainstream brands. The service was friendly. Only slight drawback is it isn't dog friendly.
