Hopefully this excellent coffee lounge will re-open soon. Visited just before the lockdown and had an excellent lunch in the sunny garden room. The staff were very friendly; the food was of high quality, well prepared and the prices were reasonable. It's well worth a visit, as it is home to a very large, fine quality antiques centre. We spent at least an hour browsing and purchased some silver (there is a wonderful selection of genuine silver and objet's d'art here). Dorking remains an old-fashioned market town and this tea-room is a gem.

Meeting friends in the heart of Dorking, and what a lovely find it was. Lovely tea and coffee. Quick snack and a treat of cake. We sat in the beautiful shop setting of antiques. We had a lovely few hours, with great service and no pressure to leave. Definitely worth the trip. We had a ploughman’s and you could easily share as the portion size was generous. Very reasonable pricing too. Simply thank you we will return.

Have often walked through here as I have perused the many delights that are on sale in these fabulous antique rooms but stayed for a bite today and was not disappointed. Met with friends and we had an array of drinks, hot and cold, and a lite bite which was plentiful and very tasty and reasonably priced. Was surprisingly cool inside as well, knowing everyone was baking in 30 degree heat outside! Staff were extremely accommodating and polite a nice place to stop - I will be returning 😍

My sister, mother and I have been coming here for years. We certainly wouldn't be coming back if it wasn't so good. The food is always fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Sandra is a truly lovely and professional waitress: unfailingly helpful, polite and friendly! The cafe, at the rear of a wonderful antique shop, is tranquil and very pretty with its huge glass dome allowing much light even on a very grey day. Tables and chairs are very clean and comfortable and it's always a pleasure to drink tea from a beautiful Villeroy and Boch service! An elegant and charming cafe which comes very highly recommended!

I've been going to this cafe for a few years. Always excellent service and great tasty food and coffee. Can highly recommend the coronation chicken. Wonderful little hidden seating area under fig trees out the back (best in late spring/summer/ early autumn). And you can wander around and look at the antiques/ interesting gifts. Has a good selection of papers and magazines to read over a coffee.

Been regular frequent visitors to Fig Tree for a light lunch ever since it opened. Never fails to please. Sandra is always so welcoming to us as is Dee when she has time to pop out of her busy kitchen. A haven of tranquillity. The sandwiches, toasted or not, are always good with a tasty generous garnish and there's a wide selection of teas. We seldom get as far as trying the array of cakes but on occasion when we have visited for just tea and scones, obviously homemade (by Christine the owner ?) these are good too. Choose from tables in the tastefully decorated bright and airy glass roofed area, the cosy inner area surrounded by antiques or weather permitting the plant filled small walled garden. A gem!

The surroundings are lovely because you're sitting in amongst beautiful antiques. The coffee was fine and I assume my friend's tea was OK too. The problem was when we came to pay the bill. We decided to pay individually so I gave the waitress who served us my credit card first of all but was told the amount was too little (£2.50) to pay with a card. Fine, so I gave her a £10 note, which is all I had since I rarely pay cash anywhere these days. This was also refused. She tried to insist on coins. She said she didn't have enough change. At this point she had the till drawer open and it was full of change! She tried to insist I give her the exact money but as I didn't have anything other than the £10 note I offered that again, or my credit card and after some discussion she eventually took the note. Very strange. I don't think I'll be going back.

Visited this coffee shop as I'd heard nice things about it. However, the latte I ordered was too strong and gave me a head ache, and the woman who appeared to be in charge was incredibly rude. Upon asking for the bill, I was told " I'm too busy for you, I don't have time" then walked off. Wouldn't visit again unfortunately.

Unless you see the 'A' frame board outside, you may not be aware this tea room exists until you stumble upon it by accident when wandering through the Christique antique centre. It is certainly a find. The place is small, atmospheric, and a haven of quietude and peace in attractive surroundings. You feel totally unhurried and able to enjoy your tea and cakes to the full. Worth diverting for.

Well hidden at the back of an antiques shop is this delightful little tea room. The decor is very pleasing, light and bright, with only 5 or 6 tables. Some tables outside in summer. The menu is simple, sandwiches, toasties or baked potatoes with a lunch time soup and afternoon cakes. The service is prompt and efficient, the quality of the food second to none. Dishes are served with crisps, potato salad, coleslaw and lettuce. This is a most pleasant place to while away an hour or so.

What an excellent family friendly pub with fantastic food, it was the best roast I have had in years. Going anywhere with an autistic child can be hard but the staff couldn’t do enough for us and made such an effort to make us feel welcome and at ease. The food was not only of an excellent quality, the beef melted on your mouth but the portion size was very generous as well. It was so cheap for what you got and was one of the best value meals I have ever had for the quality and size.

Fantastic service, sadly my husband had some of the blue label in his wine which went un noticed until we mentioned it and I had a large bone in a small fillet of seabass. There was no apology, just a response from thr head chef of oh, that sometimes happens. This made me feel that we were there at their behest, not enjoying a relaxed Anniversary celebration as was intended. The waitress referred to my husband and I as guys which wasnt appreciated. Some incredibly odd food pairings of black garlic in a petit four and castel blue cheese and German sausage on a plate of Highland venison. It is the most beautiful building but I have enjoyed better tasting food in other locations. Sadly not for me, an8d I am classically trained in food cookery.

Went to the garden house for lunch. So beautiful and atmospheric, everybody was really welcoming and Phillipa was especially lovely, taking good care of us and informing us of the menu and specialities of the day. The beef ragu was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was a great treat! Definitely worth it.

Had a rubbish time at my Christmas Party. Especially a bald tattooed man behind the bar who assaulted one of my friends. He grabbed him by the throat and other staff members can attest too this. Horrible.
