We orderd for three meals.sausage mash. pizza.tikka curry. When the tikka came the rice was cold but if the curry had been hot it would have been fine.it was luke warm. I returned it but by the time the replacement came the rest of the family had finished eating.got a refund but this was a birthday meal and the first time i had been out not wearing a mask since covid as i have immunodefieciency.just wanted a normal meal. Not happy.

BRILLIANT! We visited once maybe about 20 years ago and were very disappointed, but perhaps because that was because the place was being renovated which spoilt the atmosphere. We decided the time was right to try it again. We had a lovely lunch, our only criticism was the scallop starter which was just 4 very small shellfish with no roes, for £16.00 very nicely cooked etc, but an astronomical charge for such a small dish. I had garlic prawns, far better value for £9. £32 for a main of hake and £28 for lamb two ways. A following pannacotta was superb. Lovely meal at a lovely venue. We're going to stay there come the late nights to see how it turns out as an hotel.

Unfriendly waiter who needs to learn some basic customer service skills. We went elsewhere. Usually the waitresses are very good.

We have visited the cafe many times for quite a few years and always enjoyed a light lunch in a peaceful atmosphere. That is until our Wednesday visit which was absolutely spoiled by a dog barking as loud as it is possible. We noticed people in close proximity to the dog getting up and looking for a table further away. The annoying noise came from one of four dogs that were accompanied by four women who were all sat at the same table. We finished our meal and then had a walk round the plants and the shop, when we left the dog was still barking, this after a full hour. I have nothing against dogs, but I feel that if they are not well behaved they should not be in the confines of a cafe. Clearly the respective dog owner should have taken the offending dog outside but perhaps it never occurred to them as they are probably used to the noise. I would have thought the cafe staff may have had a word with the dog owner but unfortunately I do not think that happened and the selfish attitude carried on.
