Come here regularly as the breakfast is always lovely. In fact all the food is good. The staff are lovely, always happy and friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend a visit.

I had a Sunday roast here,it was roast beef.If it was beef,it didn’t taste like it and was tough and chewy.Might as well have eaten a leather boot.I left most of it.The portion size might as well have been for a child.Tiny amount of mashed potatoes and they weren’t good either.Small amount of vegetables which were soft,soggy and tasteless.A can of coke was £1.80!Worst roast dinner I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve eaten a few being 60 years old.Utter rubbish.

Lovely food and drink. Great choice. Friendly, polite staff. Only downside was the toilet which could do with being sprussed up and the steps down to it are not for the feint hearted! But at least they had one. Will definitely be going back though and thoroughly recommend.

After last breakfast I thought I'd use my loyalty card and order a mega breakfast it was OK and at 9.50, 2.50 more then a standard set breakfast. I didn't realise that wasn't part of the loyalty stamp card (get five stamps nxt breakfast free!), it also doesn't Inc a drink ending up needing 11.50,,, I was to pay. Being a loyal customer I tryed to negotiate a stamp on my card as it was a set breakfast and considering I was spending a lot of money!, to say I was bit angry but VERY DISAPPOINTED. I won't be back. Its a bit better then average here food quality and zero common sense*

Very nice food the best cafe in Maidstone. Me and my family are always eating here. Large portion size friendly and very clean.

We visited for breakfast and both had the full English. Was served hot and was delicious. Very good value for money. We will definitely be returning. Thoroughly recommend you try it, they have a good menu for lunch and main meals too.

I know I should not eat a full English breakfast but once in a while I figure it can't hurt so get the best . Table service good honest breakfast nothing fancy.

Popped in here for a light lunch with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised what a lovely cafe. Lovely and clean and the staff were really friendly. Real value for money too. Highly recommended

Exactly what it should be, quick service, well cooked English breakfast, bright and clean cafe. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. We'll be back!

My girlfriend told me about this cafe , we went there together and ever since then we go on a weekly basis , the customer service is excellent and the people who work there are every friendly, the food is very yummy and very good for the price as it is very affordable , they do a loyalty card for once youve bought 5 meals you get a meal for free , i would highly recommend popping into moonlight cafe , you wont regret the service :)

Had the urge to have a full English breakfast, so walked into town and went to the Moonlight Cafe. I have not been in there for many years, so was not sure what to expect. The place was very busy for a cold Saturday morning. We found a table and checked the menu out, everything was well priced. The cafe was clean and we were served within a few minutes of arriving. When the food arrived it was well cooked and hot, and everything seemed as good as I had remembered it. What I like about this cafe is that they give you a breakfast loyalty card, and after you have had 5 breakfasts, you get one free.

Was going to have a 'cheap' breakfast at a well know pub chain but wlked past this place on the way and decided to pop in.A great selection of home cooked 'set' breakfasts at reasonable prices. Quick and friendly service and they remember you when you come back.Support small local businesses - Definitly be back when in the area.Veggie friendly too!

Local parking in town as cafe is on main high street. Cafe is very clean and plenty of space. Service was very quick and friendly. Food was as expected and hot but burgers a bit tough. Ketchup might not be Heinz as in a clear bottle but never took chance lol. Good news thou if u buy 1 of the 5 option breakfasts after 5 buys u get a free 1 so worth a try.

Best small cafe in Maidstone. Every thing is fresh cooked. Very large portions. All staff very friendly. Weather you want a breakfast or lunch this is definitely the place to go. Value for money.

Went here for breakfast with my boyfriend And it was lovely! It was so clean and food wasn’t greasy at all! Definitely recommend the breakfast baguette! Will definitely be coming back again :)

Our preferred place to have lunch when in Maidstone. Why? the food is good and on an extensive menu, so lots to choose from. All the staff are friendly and get the drinks and food to table quickly. The prices are really affordable and there are also seats and tables outside for the better weather. What more could you want from a local restaurant? Five Stars!

Such a lovely cafe! The team members are always welcoming and provide a kind and helpful service. The only meals that I have eaten here have been their cooked breakfast's but I can confirm that they are delicious! I especially like the onion rings...The coffee wasn't as nice as it usually is the last time I went but when they are good, they are lovely. I've visited with my partner, as well as by myself and felt safe and welcome (I even brought my book along and had a peaceful read while enjoying my coffee). I highly recommend giving this lovely place a go :)!

Forget fine dining. Forget food with fancy names at inflated prices. If you are looking for straightforward, honest-to-goodness food AND wine at the most reasonable price, this establishment is what you are looking for. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or something for the kids, you won't go wrong here. Some limited seating outside allows you to people watch as the food and fruit of the vine slip down. Don't know how busy this venue might be at peak times.....but they surely deserve to be busier than when we visited this lunch-time (25/05/18). Our grilled Halloumi salad was delicious.

After helping a friend move some furniture I was looking for a proper full English and a good coffee. I was surprised to find Moonlight open as my trusty Trip Advisor says it is shut today...... but not a bit of it!! Good cappuccino and an excellent traditional full English On a large plate so nothing too squashed up.

we have visited the moonlight café many times and have never been disappointed .Clean and cheerful décor and such pleasant staff.The breakfast specials are so reasonable and plentiful that it is difficult not to repeat the order every time we call in .A little gem in maidstone

While in Maidstone shopping decided to have a break and lunch ,wanted to find a cafe not into fast food outlets ,came across a really nice cafe called Moonlight ,once we got seated and looked through the menu we decided to order a plain omlette and fries and a jacket potato the service and food was really good , friendly staff , nicely kept cafe .will be back next time we visit Maidstone .

Had to give this very good as the service was friendly and quick. They both had a burger of sorts and chips which they both said was very nice. But my score is average, very average.My toastie had very bland cheese and my pet hate of a tea bag floating in the cup that already had the milk in it was delivered to the table. I'm paying for you to MAKE me a cup of tea not a DIY job. A ready made tea or a pot is even better. Soggy teabag on the saucer is not good.

The cafe has very cosy athmosphere with warm colours interior although the name of the place is Moonlight it is a rather sunny-like pleasant place to go and enjoy your meal in rainy England. The staff are friendly and welcoming speaking foreign languages. The food is freshly cooked, tasty and the amount of servings is going to make you full. The prices are reasonable. As a whole it is a place worth visiting for a calm, pleasant and delicious meal with friends, family or on your own.

Visited once before and was pleasantly surprised. Returned with family, expected more to turn up and moved tables and chairs around, as with teenagers and children they were coming and going for ages, so our ordering was very spasmodic. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Food is basic but freshly cooked, so you have to wait if they are busy, but its very reasonably priced and clean and fresh.

This has an extensive breakfast menu and caters for meals throughout the day. The place is clean with friendly service and outdoor seating too.

Really nice staff who give you a card to be stamped when full a free breakfast.The choice of breakfast`s is vast ,reasonable and a lovely size cup of coffee too.Lots of other items on menu, and all good value.

Have visited this café many times and have never had a bad breakfast. Saying that I only ever go for the full English so can't comment on the rest of the menu! The restaurant is always clean and tidy. The staff are always welcoming and the service is quick. They also offer a loyalty card which once full entitles you to a free meal. Just be aware that it is cash only.

Looking for a cafe for a Sunday breakfast treat looked busy as I walked past and thought must be good, wasn't disappointed. Friendly staff, good and varied choice on menu. Breakfast set menu good value for money and a loyalty bonus. Have been back quite a few times now, thought i'd spread the word and opens at 8am on Sundays.

As per title, but take earplugs. Fine when the waitress turns up the radio for the song 'I'm Only Human After All' but she could have turned it back down again after, had to endure Mariah Carey!

This place is great for a freshly cooked breakfast. It's reasonably priced with a big selection. The sausages are not great quality however better than weatherspoons and nicer surroundings. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Hello, we had been shopping most of the morning in Maidstone and wanted a quick drink and bite to eat, so walking along and saw this little cafe, from the outside, looked clean and tidy, a few tables spare so popped in, no bad smells and it looked clean.

Good place to stop if you want something like a sausage sandwich, set menu breakfast etc - wouldn't go shouting about it but not too bad for what it was. A little put off by having to use the bin for used toilet roll - in 2015 I wouldn't really expect to have to do this...

I have been several times and every time I have been very satisfied. The staff are really friendly and the service are super quick. Always like the food - great comfort food and standard tasty cafe meals. Also can't argue with the price. Will continue to keep going on a regular basis. Today after our meal we even got a nice christmas card :)

This cafe does a good selection of breakfasts all at £ 5.95 - you can get a loyality card once you have had 5 breakfasts you get the 6th free. The cafe is very clean, staff are very good. Good selection of cooked foods. table service. Toilets are very clean. well worth a visit if you are in Maidstone

Moonlight cafe is a lovely place to eat...maybe could do with a few more staff as at times service is slow.. but food makes up for it. Full marks to the chef...

Lovely Caf'e the menu ,has enough choice for every one ,from Breakfast .Dinners,Sandwiches and Toast, we had Crispy Bacon & Mushroom Sandwich in Brown Bread it was lovely .Seating both inside and out but, toilet for the elderly not to good as steep and narrow with a slight turn at the bottom .The Service was friendly we have been be for and will go back again.

Moonlight Cafe is tucked away at the bottom end of Bank St in the older part of town. Its very clean & offers a large menu of cooked food which does look at first like chips with anything but that is not so. Take a look!

A colleague and I popped in for a late breakfast on a Friday as it was the nearest cafe to where we were working that day.

This cafe has lots of seating both inside and outside. They have a wide selection on the menu including baguettes, breakfast, pies, mains with vegetables, all very reasonable. Staff were friendly, served quickly, tasted good, will return.

Set menu is excellent value, spotless inside, nice staff with good service. Do you need anymore than that? Definitely one of the best cafes in Maidstone.

Just thought it was time we wrote a review after about 6 months of visiting this cafe.

Had a bacon and sausage baguette to takeaway and was very disappointed. They slice one sausage into four for the whole baguette with what appeared half a ration of bacon. The baguette was fresh but had a funny smell to it. Overall I wish I had not eaten it and chucked it away. Will not be returning.

We have been to this cafe two times now and each time the service , has been excellent .We asked for Bacon and Mushroom Sandwich'es crispy and we meant crispy ,Green tea very good and the we are going back again very friendly .

Visited Maidstone today to complete our Christmas shopping and came across this cafe. Good service and great value for money. Will be back next time we come to Maidstone.

Been here twice now and both times loved the food, the service and the prices. My husband and I both had burgers and 3 drinks all together and it was £13. Bargain!! Plus the burgers are really nice, totally tasty. The only thing that was a little annoying is that they don't take cards, you have to have cash and there are no signs anywhere to tell you this so I had to rush to the cash machine to get the cash out as I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to work.

Everything is delicious!, the owner is really nice and friendly, good prices! Definitely a place to come back!

we were in Maidstone about a year ago also quite early, and found this, so we set out today to find it again and the breakfast was once again very good, excellent value for money but what really stood out was the excellent coffee not to mention the huge cups and the very reasonable price - for that alone I'd say it was the best in England. Quite apart from that the service was nice and the owner chatty as always, even though it was just after 0800 !!!!!

I was looking for somewhere quiet and reasonably priced for a quick bite to eat one lunchtime and found myself wandering along Bank Street in Maidstone, somewhere I rarely walk. I was very pleasantly surprised to find The Moonlight Café tucked away, offering a very good choice of food at extremely reasonable prices.

Looking up for cafe's in Maidstone for a quick visit, saw this cafe, the reviews looked great staying "great coffee, great food, great atmosphere", it turns out that it's just a cheap greasy spoon cafe, fine for anyone looking for a quick easy bite, but couldn't find much I liked about this place except the price. Coffee was pretty bad. Off to find another cafe!

Usually eat at Wimpy but today as it was closed we took a walk about a minute down the road and stumbled upon the Moonlight Cafe. Friendly staff, well presented food, no long wait and good value.

we really only went in as it was open early on the Saturday we hit town about 0800 and wondered what to do. The veggie breakfast was superb and we thought it was freshly home made, the coffee was real coffee and the atmosphere was friendly and family. The stairs to the loo were a bit steep so beware when you open the door! Nice all 'round

A small cafe, but you see the kitchen, and food being prepared. All very clean and good service. Good cuppa and the omelettes was a good size with plenty of chips and a nice small salad. Great place for a snack with a good choice.

Came across the Moonlight Café while shopping in Maidstone on a cold day. A really warm welcome and a great choice on the menu. Thoroughly recommend the Spanish Omelette!

Whenever I don't know what to do for lunch or brunch, this place always comes to mind. Simple and unpretentious, it offers great choice and great value and no matter how busy, a comfortable place to have a quick bite to eat. Will keep going back as it is the best Full English Breakfast in town. Keep up the good work.

A few months ago I went here to have lunch with my wife.

I would like to take this opporunity to say that we really enjoyed our visit to moonlight - We had a delicious Carrot Cake, tea, hot chocolate, Bacon Roll & lovely cup of tea. The gentelman who served us, was super efficient and nothing was too much hassle. Just what you want, quick service with a smile. GREAT VALUE

My family and I regularly visit this cafe as the food is so nice and it is great value. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they have a loyalty card where you can get a fifth breakfast free. Highly recommended by me, and one of my favourite hobbies is eating!
