MEET ME in Maidstone

Tried the Polish zapiekanka, highly recommend it. It was delicious and the size was very good for its price. Also, I tried a few drinks and all fulfilled my expectations, absolutely delicious! The seating was comfortable, and the setting looked quite nice. I will for sure come here again.

Randomly dropped in here, because it was raining. You never know with coffee shops, but this one does good coffee--so it was a win. Interesting decor and choice of seating made for a restful experience, which is how coffee drinking should be. Friendly lady in charge, maybe Latvian?

I was with my husband in the city and we wanted to eat and we chose this restaurant but unfortunately we were very disappointed. I ordered two soups, one of chicken and one of beans, which smelled very bad, and the chicken soup had only one large cut carrot. We will definitely not choose this restaurant again and I will not recommend it either.

Called in with a friend for a pot of tea when we were shopping in Maidstone. I chose a cheese and ham baked potato, and my friend got a cheese and ham omelette. The were really nice, the service was friendly and we felt genuinely welcome. We both intend to return the next time we are in town. There are a couple of steps up from the pavement, though.

Visited yesterday with a friend and received a warm welcome, the staff are always polite and helpful. We had hot chocolates and waffles which were gorgeous but too large to finish. Will definitely go back and I truly hope this cafe stays open because not a lot of people seem to know about it.

This is our favourite place in Maidstone. Great food, great price, great ambience and we adore the couple who runs this place. We have been there so many times that perhaps we have tried almost everything on their menu. The pizza is great, the pasta is nice, the crepes and toasties are amazing and the cakes are to die for. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a reasonably priced freshly prepared meal in the Maidstone town centre, I doubt you can find a better place than this.

Having been on another restaurant and staff quite rude, we found this little gem. There was a warm welcome and the staff/owners were brilliant. Order taken quickly, food (panini’s) and drinks delivered quickly too. Really tasty and an interesting place to stop for a bite. We will return.

Decided to have lunch here on Saturday and will definitely be going back. The decor is quirky and homely and the staff very friendly. The panini's are delicious and very good value, they do not skimp on the fillings and bread is fresh and tasty, plus the smiley-faced salad was a cute touch. The cakes are also superb, freshly made each day, with the chocolate gateaux being particularly scrumptious. The coffee too is excellent. Would highly recommend.

Nice staff but cold interior. Breakfast was debatable, skinless chipolata? not nice pork sausage as shown on menu.

We wanted a quick lunch before going for a bridal fitting and as the menu prices seemed very reasonable we decided to take a chance and try it. 3 of us had jacket potatoes with different fillings and one had a filled crepe. They were all a good size, served with some salad and very tasty. The coffee seemed freshly brewed. Overall very pleasantly surprised with the food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely make this my favourite go to place for lunch in the future.

Fun decor but the food was bland and badly served. The lady who served us was not interested and a bit grumpy. Not a great experience.

I rarely write reviews but I felt I just had to this time. What a lovely find! Fantastic Bohemian atmosphere, fresh, delicious food, the coffee was absolutely spot on for me (and that’s some going because I’m really fussy with my coffee) and all so reasonably priced. This is definitely on my list for future Maidstone visits!

Cozy cafe with friendly staff but the food wasn't great. My egg was overly greasy, the "ciabatta" turned out to be regular baguette, slow roasted tomatoes were fried and half cold.

Lovely place to lunch and surprisingly cheap! They could easily charge a lot more for their food considering how fresh it was and how big the portions were!

It's my favourite café of all time. Everything is just perfect.

I have been going to the "Meet Me" Cafe for several years now. The Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The Cafe inside is like decorated like a mysterious Sanctuary. It is very Comfortable. There is also an outside seating area. You can also smoke Cigarettes outside. I generally drink Coffee which has a nice flavour. They also serve Food and Snacks here. Definitely worth a visit, especially inside the Cafe as it has been beautifully Decorated.

This was my 2nd visit to Meet me. Quick service from friendly staff in a lovely cosy environment. I had a panini, which was tasty and perfect for lunch. Together with a coffee it costs about £5.50. Jacket potatoes and salads were also available with cakes and other sweets for dessert. I will definitely return.

Nice place to visit but the food was very hit and miss between my group. Spoke to the waiting staff but they didn't seem bothered and told me 'that's just how it is'. My first time trying this place and I'm unsure whether or not to try it again.

.... with background music which made for a relaxing atmosphere. 3 of us had lunch. I chose a chicken salad with honey and mustard dressing which was very tasty and a good portion. Worth a visit.

A lovely little coffee place to read , chat and get some peace. The staff are very helpful And do their very best to please. Delightful intercontinental decor. Would highly recommend .

Looks cosy but is actually quite dingy. The fairy lights would work better against a paler backdrop , the dark wood is depressing and has more of a grubby nightclub ambience. The sofa is so old it has no support whatsoever, you certainly cannot sit back and drink a hot drink without spilling it. The croissants and scones looked uninspiring with very few other cakes on display. The coffee was nothing special. The windows were covered in condensation. The staff looked bored and did not smile at all. I would not recommend a visit since there are so many more polished establishments to choose from these days.

the staff were friendly and helpful, my daughter and i just wanted something light, i had croissant, my daughter a pain aux chocolate. the croissant was heated in a microwave which took away any crunch but tasted fine served with some very nice blackcurrant jam. My daughter had some chocolate sauce with her pastry, very nice. coffee very good. my only concern was the place was very damp and steamy, the windows were wet (not good from the outside ) they will have some serious damp issues if not rectified. the toilets are unheated, the toilet paper was damp!

Lovely place to come for something different. This is run by Polish couple who speak good English. Lovely and clean, freshly made food, and good value for money if you want something slightly different. You never feel rushed in this little cafe and is quaintly decorated. Perfectly clean toilet at all times, pleasant staff, very friendly. Always a warm welcome, and warm cosy place for somethng yummy.

So I tried this coffee shop recently having the read the reviews. I popped in late morning & considering it’s central location was surprised to see it empty with not one single customer. The coffee was not bad, however I felt it was overpriced at £2.45. The woman who served me, the owner I believe, was not the friendliest or most customer service focused. No matter I thought to myself at the time, it’s good to support small local independent businesses. In the vicinity again I gave it another go, & again at a time I would expect to see the shop busy, there was not one single customer in sight. I placed my order for a small coffee this time & made a small simple request as to how I’d like the coffee made – it fell on deaf ears, the same woman could not be bothered despite my politely asking again as she made the coffee at the counter. Again disinterested & impolite & frankly quite rude. Not worth the disagreement having already stated my order twice, I calmly drunk my small, luke warm, poorly tasting half a cup of coffee not made how I’d asked that I’d paid over £2.00 for & left. Needless to say I will not be wasting my time or money here again which is a pity as many independent coffee shops do not last long. It’s no wonder that the larger coffee shops in the High Street namely Costas, Cafe Nero & Starbucks are all heaving with customer’s throughout the day & you pay no more for a coffee there than you would in this poor excuse of a dark, dingy coffee shop.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Staff were ok, although not too friendly. I had carrot and coriander soup which didn't remind of any carrot soup I've ever had before. It had so much garlic in it I was rather pleased I didn't have any meetings in the afternoon. Good value for money, but didn't blow me away.

Visited today with a friend and her daughter.I frequent Maidstone for coffee with friends or my mum thought I would choose this place for a change,mistake.

I attended the coffee shop today with my work colleague, and asked if they had a coffee and cake deal. I was advised that for £2.50 I would be able to get a small coffee and a hot cross bun. So I ordered my small decaf cappuccino and hot cross bun, when I went to pay they charged me £2.90, when I questioned the deal they advised me that I wasn't able to have the deal because my coffee was decaf.... Never have I ever been charged more for a decaf coffee! Considering they didn't advise this when I placed the order either I think this behaviour is disgusting!! I will not be returning!

Great place to work and study while picking up a good coffee. Wifi is fast enough and limitless. Panini's are super tasty (recommend the mozzarella-vegetable one). Music playing in the background if you dont mind that while you work. Lots of comfy sofa's

Popping in regularly for a lunch. Always having a cup of coffee and the mushrooms & cheese panini - my favourite one! They also have lovely selection of cakes. Polish style cheesecake and Polish style apple crumble highly recommended! Very friendly staff always makes you feel welcome!

This is a very clean and bit quirky cafe. Always pleasant staff and good, reasonably priced food and drinks. Always tasty. I go there with my grown up children and my friends for a pleasant, relaxed lunch in nice surroundings. Love the decor.

Stopped here for a coffee during a shopping trip as hadn't been in before. Nice decor inside and was lovely and warm. Friendly staff. Coffee was really good and we both had a scone with cream and jam. The scone was small but warmed through, and we were given LOADS of cream and jam. Both of us fed and watered for under £10. Will go back again to try some savoury options! Really liked it.

Came here on a Saturday morning, with a severe hangover, with my partner for some brunch before we started our shopping. I ordered the full English and she ordered the Nutella crepe! We sat on the sofa table which we just sank into! Everything is this place is odd and odd looking but that's what makes it fantastic! Fairy lights around the gaff and all different shapes and sizes or ornaments.

MEET ME is a little off the beaten track but what a find! We had just tea and sandwiches (I had smoked salmon whilst my friend had tuna) which were truly, truly, scrumptious filled not only with our main choice but lots of other tasty additions and presented with an attractive garnish. A knife & fork was definitely needed. It is run by two charming ladies, who obviously take pride in the service & food they provide at very reasonable prices. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the décor is quaint & interesting, a delightful place to meet!

We were looking for a place to have a coffee. Went in and what a gem we found really nice coffee. Lovely place lots of quirky thing's brill. Food looked really nice and am sure we will try the food soon. Staff were very welcoming. Very clean in there and staff were always washing there hands brilliant well done

I have been to this establishment with just my husband and again with children, of differing ages, and have been made to feel relaxed and welcome both times. The food is lovely, well priced and freshly cooked. You are greeted by cheery, smiley people and the children were made to feel at home. ( The toilets were exceptional too - a real must when out with young children!)

Jakiś czas temu wybrałam się z przyjacielem do kawiarni " Meet me" po raz pierwszy. Okazało się, że w środku panuje przyjemna atmosfera. Można odpocząć, porozmawiać przy naprawdę pysznej kawie i smacznym deserze. W dodatku właściciele lokalu są bardzo uprzejmymi ludźmi. Polecam każdemu :)

Recently visited for a quick bite to eat for lunch. The first thing that struck me was the lovely decor.

Nice place, wish I had ordered a cup of tea instead of a pot for one, because the pot for one equals the volume of one cup of tea. But I paid about 50p more :/

It takes a genius to make a chicken salad delicious. Well this lady did just that. The chicken was coated in a lovely marinade, the salad included interesting ingredients such as gherkins & olives and everything was dressed in a gorgeous honey & mustard dressing. Very reasonable too. I can't wait to go back.

After longer drive on our way to Leeds castle we pop in at midday, but still only for breakfast. From outside one wouldn't guess the place is so spacious inside with such a nice, warm and cosy decor, with hats instead of lights and cute leaning figuring over the radiator.
