I hosted my baby shower here recently and it was such a lovely afternoon! The staff were amazing and so helpful throughout planning and on the day! The food was incredible and really reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! 💗

A small pub with a garden,plenty of benches to sit on.

We booked a table of 13 people with an hours notice. They had absolutely no problem fitting us in which for a Friday night was great. All 13 of us ordered burgers, they came out fairly quickly and were top quality. High recommend

We visited Christmas Eve with 10 of us strolling in. It was busy, but the weather was so mild that we sat outside in the garden. The bar lady was working alone and she was fabulous, she did a great job. Lovely little pub to stop at after walking up the hill from Loose village.

Incredibly lucky to have this pub on our doorstep! From the food, amazing variety of drinks, band nights, karaoke nights, comedy nights (the list goes on….) Eloise is a fantastic landlady and has made our local village pub the place to be!!! the chuck and blade burgers were also to die for too!! 1000% recommend xx

Eloise does a great job here and to bring in an ever growing burger chain has worked so well. On point food, great bar feel and a good place to pop on in for a burger and pint of passing through with family or friends :)

This place has it all! The ‘Chuck & Blade’ burgers were insane and the staff were fab. Every member of the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the outside space was perfect for a party! We even met the landlady who was as accommodating as her staff. We will definitely be back! Thanks all for a great night!

Real pubs seem to be a dying thing now, which makes the ones left extra special, which this one definitely is. Visited with a friend for a glass of wine, but once we saw food coming out we HAD to order. Two burgers and some dirty fries, and they were all amazing. Absolutely loved our evening at the pub, lovely regulars too that made us feel welcome. Service was also great, bar staff was friendly and quick to serve. The landlady was really friendly and welcoming, she told us all about some events coming up, we will def be back for a band day! A real pub with great food and great wine.

I have been to the Walnut tree on a few occasions, but seem to be there more now that they have Chuck & Blade!! The Burgers are unreal and the sides are just as good, its hard to choose sometimes. The pub is a traditional scene and has an amazing atmosphere, which is only elevated when they have events on. The service is great and Eloise (the landlady) is always friendly and welcoming, that this little venue can get rammed, but the outside is spacious and has definitely helped during the summer. Overall I would definitely recommend this to family and friends

Drinks & Chips After Football On Sunday With Sports On The Outside TV

So, After hearing a lot about the Chuck & Blade burgers my friends and I visited the walnut tree in loose this evening for a takeaway treat. I am a massive burger fan to be fair and was rather excited to try these tasty burgers that everyone keeps raving on about. Upon arrival we were told that the food would be no longer than 30 minutes which was fine and we excepted that they were busy so had a drink or two at the bar. Jacob was ever so helpful and friendly and kept us updated on times but after nearly a TWO HOUR wait we thought that this was unacceptable to be honest. After then asking Denise if we could have a free drink to accommodate the waiting time we weee blankly refused there and then and no chance of the meal becoming half price. I have worked in the hospitality industry for years and was quite frankly disgusted with her attitude of well it’s nothing to do with us as they are a separate entity to the pub! Wrong answer LOVE! All the while you have people cooking in your establishment then you should be able to make an executive decision as to what to do for the customer instead of palming it off to the Chuck & Blade chef whom I must say clearly knows how to cook an amazing burger as they were very nice indeed for the record or saying that the management here at the moment so it’s out of my hands. Absolute poor management style

Awful Sunday roast!!! Burnt potatoes, soggy veg and over cooked chicken. Rude stuck up children run this pub. Mega over priced dive! Customers are scruffy and loud. !!AVOID!!

Some friends and I stopped here on a Saturday lunchtime a few weeks ago, the staff said an event was starting soon, but still welcomed us and allowed us to order food. We went to an outside seating area which was nice and we all left happy with the food we got with good portions. I have heard good things about the live music events here and hopefully will make one of these soon.

Staff too busy talking amongst themselves. Ordered a Sunday roast which was just awful and the chef chantell looked barely old enough to pour her own coco pops! Clientel in here are scruffy people with big gobs. As the owner has 2 dogs she feels it OK to turn the pub into a dog show allowing dogs to bark and roam freely within the tiny space. This is a locals (clicky) pub and not a restaurant!! Owner needs to realise its just another sinking ship waiting to go down

Good food/drink and a very friendly welcome from locals as well as from behind the bar.

The food was OK, nothing wrong with it, chips were nice. I only gave it 3 due to it not being exceptional. Not the best I have had and not the worst. Standard pub food really. Service was good, staff were friendly and quick. We decided to sit outside as it was a nice day and the garden seating area was nice. It was quite when we arrived but got busier and noiser, somehow we managed to sit in the area that everyone let their kids run around. So when we finished our food we left as it was not pleasant and 3 smokers were sitting near us. Which was not nice while eating, I get we were outside and it was fine for them to smoke, but not nice for me while eating.

Lovely pub with friendly staff and good food. Saturday sounds with live music from bands that play in the beer garden provide great entertainment. The beer garden has marquees permanently set up and it’s great if you want to hold a function there. The landlady has put a lot of work and effort into the pub to make it a nice place to go.

Fantastic pub with super friendly and efficient staff! The quality of service as well as the fantastic atmosphere the pub generates is something to behold. The food is fantastic and the drinks are good too. Fantastic pint! The pub also is great for sport with Sky Sports as well as BT Sports. This public house is an absolute must to go and visit!!! It shows all sporting events and has a fantastic garden which in the summer time is an amazing place to be. They have music every 2 weeks on a Saturday with fantastic highly rated local bands. They also have karaoke nights and poker nights. This pub is the heart of Loose community and is the focal point for many of the locals. I cannot rate this pub highly enough! 5+ Stars in my opinion! Every time I visit this pub I enjoy myself and I always look forward to going back! Brilliant pub no doubt which has a really warm feel to it. Give it a try and you will see! 👌👍😍

Went here yesterday for a birthday and anniversary meal with the family and we will never return. We had pre-ordered all of our meals so there really was no excuse for the service we received. When the food finally arrived on the tables (this took a long time and many people had finished before others received theirs) it was luke warm at best and of very poor quality. Personally I had the 'roast chicken' which was just strips of dry chicken, it was not carved meat or even half a chicken which is what I would expect to be served. Had to ask several times for the cauliflower cheese we had pre-ordered to go with our meals and when it did come it was pitiful. The 'thick gravy' was indeed that, full of way too much Bisto granules, not proper gravy at all. If we had not pre-ordered I could understand the slow service but they were fully aware of how many people were coming and what the food orders were. The service was rude and excuses made for this in every way. We moved inside the pub and my Dad who has had both knees replaced went to sit at a table with a reserved sign on it and was shouted at by the bar lady that he could not sit there as it was reserved - whilst this was true, it was 15 mins after the reservation time and the men were actually sat on the table next to it by the TV and said to us it wasn't needed! Overall, incredibly disappointing all round and not even reasonably priced!

Picked this pub for family Sunday lunch - awful food and overpriced - won’t be back! One baton of carrot and one baton of parsnip. Yorkshire pudding was cold - was told they had no more but I could have cauliflower cheese instead!!!

Wouldn’t recommend this awful pub at all. Completely ignored, awful food and slow service and all stupidly overpriced. The landlady Eloise was making nasty and rude comments about us right in front of us to the other staff so we could hear. Cold and unwelcoming atmosphere and will not be returning

We ordered 2 diet cokes, ended up with 2 pints of coke, we had the fish & chips with peas together with the Walnut Tree Signature Burger. On Trip Advisor and Google there are pictures of sumptuous looking burgers. The one I got was anything but. The meat tasted and felt like an Asda reduced fat burger. The chips felt like McCains oven ready, served on paper on a wooden board so it kept sliding about, the cutlery was pretty useless too. My other half said it didn’t look very appetising when it arrived, she was right, I didn’t even eat it all. The fish and chips wasn’t much better, at least it was on a plate, the peas were hard, the fish wasn’t great and the same chips. Oh well, you live and learn, but we definitely won’t be going back.

Drove past this pub many many times and finally decided to stop in. Fantastic vegetarian options and beer choices. Outdoor beer garden is well layed out to include alot of people but also lets you feel private at your table.

We visited as a family to this beautiful friendly pub. We stayed for a roast dinner which was 5 stars. The manager Claire was so lovely and helpful. We will definitely return as a family and with friends.

Have been going here since Eloise took over the pub and every month it gets better and better. Marquees for the winter with heaters so you don't have to sit indoors, Saturday sounds and even the food.
