Lovely place. Definitely one of the best pubs around.

Have come to a 70th Birthday party this evening at The White Horse in Maidstone Kent. Amazing pub and very helpful. Also have a amazing pint of Guinness. It tastes just as good as a pint of Guinness in pubs in Ireland 👍🇮🇪👍

Quite possibly one of the best pubs in Maidstone, well kept beer and the loveliest of staff, and a friendly bunch of locals too. Definitely recommend

My name is Shah and I frequently use this pub as I work local! It’s an amazing place and the staffs are absolutely fantastic and unbelievably friendly….I was there on my Birthday and they fully took care of me with so much care and love. It’s the best pub in Maidstone. Lee and Sandra are great people and the run the pub with great pride and hard work. Please visit as you won’t be disappointed….

We came for dinner this week and had a fantastic time. The staff were fantastic with my toddler and she loved her pizza. Service was quick and we really enjoyed ourselves.

We went for a few drinks before going for a meal. A live band was playing and the place was full. A great atmosphere, we were sorry to leave!

Sunday night Open Mic night experience was very good. A good range of musicians attended and some great talent on display. Friendly bar and cozy but not inhibiting pub. There's limited free parking so best to get there early as they do get busy. Definitely worth a trip if you like local music.

Disgusting service. booking made 3 weeks in advance for 7 of us for birthday dinner. arrived to be told barely nothing on the menu available. they admitted they should of rung us earlier. we were then left to decide if we wanted to stay. As we left my partner was laughed at by a member of staff because he said thanks for nothing. very rude young staff. if you book people in you need to have enough food to feed them.

Popped in here on a Saturday afternoon. Very warm welcome from behind the bar. Plenty of parking. Beer selection was not amazing but well kept cask beer. Good mix of locals who are welcoming to newcomers. Came back for one of the band nights, which was good fun.

We booked the Festive menu for Sunday lunch. Our party of six was reduced to four but we were quickly accommodated with a smaller table shortly after arrival. We were seated in the annex upstairs. Immediately there seemed to be a lack of communication as our server was unaware of the menu we had chosen and the drinks that accompanied it. The starters arrived reasonably promptly and were okay. The festive menu price allowed for main menu items to be chosen without supplements. When asked for our choice of mains we were told that the steak option was not available. This was the premier option which came with a £7.50 supplement if not choosing the premier package. The alternative options arrived which had to be returned as the pork belly was not cooked properly and nor did it match the description set out in the menu. The server agreed to offer alternative options but we were then told "no salmon". The turkey dinner replacement arrived within the 10 minutes promised but was poor. There was no front of service personnel available throughout the service. Even after letting the server know we wouldn't be staying for deserts our plates remained uncollected for at least 15 minutes whilst what personnel was around wandered around other tables aimlessly and with any sense of urgency or customer service knowhow. We were given a suitable reduction to our bill but left knowing that the management do not care about the quality of the food that they put out. We were not provided with any apology. Poorly run lunch service, maybe the pub is attempting too much trying to deliver a menu they simply do not have the capacity for. Avoid.

This is an excellent family pub by day and a superb pub for the older generation by night. Excellent live music/bands which is very worth the evening out!

First time visiting and ill definitely be back again! The food was incredible, the best pie I've eaten for sure!! (Compliments to the chef) very reasonably priced menu. Service was prompt with a friendly manner. 10/10 highly recommend this gem of a resturant!!

after travelling 20 miles to this restaurant we were left very disappointed. Service was below par for sure, despite social distancing i still feel that service can be given. we had to ask for our order to be taken for mains and again for dessert because we were just left. no one asked if we wanted more drinks. food was very well presented - although the roast potatoes hard and warm and the yorkshire pudding cold. perhaps left to just sit at the pass to long?? the floor we were sat on was cold, and lacked an atmosphere. i wouldn’t come back to this restaurant and i wouldn’t recommend it which is a shame as it was recommended.

Went here with family as they highly recommended it. Fairly dark, and difficult to read menu as well as the print was small used mobile phone torches. Food was average for the price charged, table very bland (maybe because of covid). Three of the party had good dishes but the other two had rib eye steaks which were not very tasty and had a lot of gristle.Saying that the restaraunt was fully booked. One young lad serving drinks was excellent even though he had several sets of stairs to go up and down with fully loaded drinks/empty glasses.

As always, a grand place to be.

Adnams Ghost Ship on draft. Excellent real ales, good selection of Gin. Good food, good service, excellent value for money. Well run establishment just out of town. Great place for live music with a jam night on Sundays. Big car park around the back.

Haven’t been for a few years. But still amazing service and the food was out of this world. Would highly recommend

Went there today for the first rime They have a very large car park at the rear of the premises free to use for customers The pub is quite large clean and tidy and very nice lady barmaid friendly and efficient Prices and read fine not expensive They do Sunday lunch menu but I think that is the only food they do during the week Bar snacks available Good old fashioned pub Was not at all.busy when I visited it which was a Saturday lunchtime No idea if it gets busy in the evening Worth a visit if in the area

A fantastic place, in my opinion the best pub in maidstone by far. Excellent service, a very welcoming staff, and a great place to spend an evening or two on the weekend.

Very rude landlord in pub. Salad had brown on it. Not fresh, quite disgusting really. I can’t see how kitchen nit noticed it and still serve it.

Lovely park, but walks in the park are quite short. For longer walks you have to go on the Downs
