Great stop outside the marina, nice scampi and a Zero Doom bar

Visited in the summer and had no complaints, unfortunately yesterday was not good. The chips were cold and old and the fish wasn’t much better. We were told that it was the potatoes that caused the grotty chips. I don’t think so, they were probably from the previous evening! Unfortunately won’t be visiting Corrie again.

After reopening again in 2023 after its closure in 2022 everything seemed to be going well until late in 2023 when despite not having any information that it had closed, it shut one night never to reopen. No notices in the windows. No announcement like last time to tell their loyal customers that they'd decided to close down. And now it seems it HAS closed down & is being turned into flats! Well, there's a lot of unhappy people from over the last 30 years who would have liked to have been told 😔 Bad form Chip Ahoy....

What a lovely find in Cowes, great food, ambience, and Bonny the barmaid who soldiered on alone. She was an amazing, efficient hardworking barmaid who despite being on her own held the place together ensuring customers were served drinks and food with a smile. Would thoroughly recommend but only if Bonny was there.

Great stay, staff really friendly and the guy who runs it is great and really welcoming. Live music in the pub on the eve which was brilliant. Great location (can be a little noisy at night from outside) Breakfast was also really good great choice. Thank you! :)

We had a poor dining experience, one meal in particular, the stir fry chicken was very strange with slices of raw tomato and bottled silverside onions. The other meals were indifferent, chips not really hot, a real bugbear with me as it's something that's so easy to get right. They close tomorrow until March so were obviously just not that bothered and keen to get off home. It's a shame as it's an attractive venue with live music and a real nautical vibe.

Booked a two nights stay here (weekday) during half term for myself and two children. The rooms had recently been refurbished and there was the nice new carpet smell. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed, Tea making, TV, Wi-Fi etc. The en-suite was lovely although the bathroom door could have done with a squirt of WD40 as it was a little squeaky. We didn’t use the Bar, only to check in and the staff member was very polite and kind, offered to carry my bags etc. there’s a separate entrance for guests so you don’t have to go thru the bar area unless you want to. I was a bit dubious booking a room in a pub in the centre of town, I was concerned about noise but, I needn’t have been, we weren’t disturbed at all. Perfect location, we used the Red Jet to get over to the Isle and it’s not even a ten minute walk to the pub. Very central and surrounded by eateries and supermarkets Would definitely recommend. Would stay again.

We were a walk-in and three of us were debating where to go. We are so pleased we chose Toninos as we had a superb meal, ranging from the fish, pizza with beef strips and a lamb stew from the specials board. Great service and phenomenal food. Extremely enjoyable evening.

We called ahead to book a table which we were pleased to find was ready when we arrived (particularly as a bigger party on a Saturday night) - however, we were seated on our own on the first floor in a room with no heating and the windows had been left open so it was very cold. The service was reasonably quick and the waiters were polite and friendly. We ordered a range of items from the menu and unfortunately found that all of the food was exceptionally disappointing. Everything had a sweet taste to it but had no other flavours or spices (and most things had heavy red food colouring). The only decent thing was the butter naan (but even this was sweet). The portions were very small which was surprising given the price for each dish. The restaurant was quite narrow to get in and out of (with tables very close to the door) which meant we struggled to get in and out with the pushchair - and suspect it would be difficult for someone with a wheelchair or difficulties with mobility. We would not return to this restaurant again and wish we had paid attention to the reviews before deciding to eat here.
