The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Cowes North Isle of Wight South East

Pre packaged bacon or sausage baps warmed in the panini maker. Service with a scowl. This is somewhere you can get a drink or food if you are stuck whilst waiting for the ferry but it’s not somewhere I’d go by choice.

This is one of our favourite places in Cowes, and usually eat here once or twice a month, but on a recent visit we were disappointed with the new menu. It would appear they’ve gone for pice over quality with the new menu. They used to pride themselves on using local produce, but on the menu there is no mention of locally sourced produce. My wife had the breaded haddock, which was dry, and I had the steak and ale pie, both of which had obviously been mass produced and were definitely not homemade and not upto usual Anchor standards. We’ll still pop in for a dink but sadly we won’t eat her again unless the menu improves.

Enjoyed 2 breakfasts here whilst visiting the Isle of Wight. We arrived late the 2nd day due to the awful traffic coming across the island but the young lady was happy to accommodate us for this which was really kind. The breakfasts were really tasty, all well cooked and the seating right beside the water is lovely on a nice day. Thank you
