Pre packaged bacon or sausage baps warmed in the panini maker. Service with a scowl. This is somewhere you can get a drink or food if you are stuck whilst waiting for the ferry but it’s not somewhere I’d go by choice.

We stopped at Steam as we were getting on the ferry from.Cowes to Southampton. The hot drinks were nice and the 2 ladies that served us were lovely. Very customer service orientated. Nothing was too much trouble. (Date of visit 30th August) would recommend.

Arrived a little early for the ferry, and popped in for a quick coffee. This was actually one of the better cups of coffee I've had on the island. Quiet waiting area (at least at 8am). Good selection of cakes to keep the kids quiet.

I usually stop in here for a coffee and snack when I get the redjet and am too early for my bus. I like the friendly service and its a good place to sit and watch the world go by.

I often go here for just a coffee or a coffee and a quick snack. The staff are always very friendly and the coffee very good. The food is a bit expensive but some like the cheese pasties make a pleasant treat before work.

We arrived in Cowes and had a 40 minute wait for our lift to arrive. Staff were polite. Convenient for a quick coffe (very nice) and a pananni (was only ok as it needed toasting a bit more). If you are short on time it's a good option but if you have longer there are better places in the area.

Usually coffee on ferries is pretty grim but not at Steam. Also they do very good hot chocolate. Not so keen on the bacon rolls as the bacon is a bit fatty for me and I like it well cooked not too rare. But that's me being fussy. After all its really a coffee bar

The location of this coffee shop to the RedJet terminal makes it a handy place to drop into for a coffee or tea. There is normally plenty of seating (inside and outside). The service was polite and speedy. The coffee is excellent, albeit pricey. They do hot snacks (sausage, bacon rolls) and cakes and sandwiches. If you're a regular, I see they do a loyalty card. Credit cards

Everytime i get to have a look at Costa Newport Shropshire website, the thin that greets me on the Google listing is a review from trip adivsor and this is 10 - yes ten - years old!! It say it is" the worst Costa ever". I am a local elderly lady and I go down there 2-3 times a week. I go on my own. The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and homely. The seats are comfortable and padded. It upsets me that Trip-Advisor can keep plugging this ten year old review. How dare they do this!! it is shocking. I havent dont a trip advisor review for 2-3 years, but I am fed up with this report. Please take it off.

Had a really lovely cosy lunch in here on a cool Autumn day. Really warm service and the food was enjoyable. Great location for looking out to sea.

It's very busy in the summer season, but it still manages to produce great food. In the winter, it's the one pub that is consistently open, no matter what the weather or footfall. Throughout the winter, there are special deals on meals, which are cooked to a very high standard. The staff are really friendly and helpful and if you want any changes to your meal, they are only too willing to help. If you come to Yarmouth pop in, you will be looked after and enjoy a lovely meal and beverage of your choice. The location is great, but the phone signal is very poor. You may have to walk up the peir.

We had a poor dining experience, one meal in particular, the stir fry chicken was very strange with slices of raw tomato and bottled silverside onions. The other meals were indifferent, chips not really hot, a real bugbear with me as it's something that's so easy to get right. They close tomorrow until March so were obviously just not that bothered and keen to get off home. It's a shame as it's an attractive venue with live music and a real nautical vibe.
