Today, I visited a wine bar called Journey’s located on Townsgate in Guildford while waiting for my friends. During this time, I treated myself to their brownie with ice cream and a glass of non-alcoholic champagne. I must say, I absolutely loved it! I brought along a group of staff and students from Surrey Maths School for an informal social session, to help the students get to know one another and build their community. The Hideaway was perfect! We booked the meeting room so we had enough privacy but were also able to enjoy the lovely cafe area as well as the beautiful outdoor spaces. The food and drinks were delicious; several of the students discovered the smoothies and raved about them! The atmosphere was warm, friendly and welcoming, and we couldn't be happier that we chose The Hideaway for this important event in our school calendar. We will definitely be back & in the meantime, THANK YOU to Leah & the Hideaway team for making our afternoon so special.

I discovered Pasta Out during lockdown, so unfortunately there was no availability to sit down and eat within, but the golden side to this was that I discovered their lovely take away service. The pasta is absolutely beautiful, so much so, that I will only have dry pasta in the house for emergencies only. There is a great choice of freshly made pasta and if they don't have any left, they will make it for you there and then. Easy to cook and beautifully fresh, soft and tasty. Highly recommended.

After shopping and with time before the next bus home, this is the ideal place to rest in an airconditioned environment, very Covid-safe, and enjoy a coffee and cheesecake, as I did today.

Pictures are very deceiving, when we entered we were disappointed very small inside, sat on high stools and coffee severed in paper cups which we hate if drinking inside. The coffee wasn't great so I literally took a few sips and left it and so did my partner. We had bacon and cheese croissant that was okish. But yeah sadly won't be returning :/

This restaurant has the best fried chicken I've ever tasted! The food is very affordable and has amazing quality and huge portion. Service is usually quick and the food is always warm! There was no need for waiting but the place is usually crowded during busy times.
