I discovered Pasta Out during lockdown, so unfortunately there was no availability to sit down and eat within, but the golden side to this was that I discovered their lovely take away service. The pasta is absolutely beautiful, so much so, that I will only have dry pasta in the house for emergencies only. There is a great choice of freshly made pasta and if they don't have any left, they will make it for you there and then. Easy to cook and beautifully fresh, soft and tasty. Highly recommended.

Beautiful pasta. The truffle ravioli is incredible and the cannelloni was delicious. Amazing service, we have tried many dishes here which have all been wonderful. We can’t wait to come again after lockdown!

First time visit and can’t believe we haven’t found this restaurant before. The food was incredible- amazing pastas and the service was spot on . Attentive but not over the top . Will definitely be visiting again once lockdown has lifted . Can’t recommend enough.

A hidden gem in Guildford! The food (might have been Sardinian) was beautifully prepared from fresh ingredients and it tasted fabulous. Our waiter, Melo made us feel welcome and knew the menu inside and out, plus the chef came out for a conversation. Will definitely go back to eat here!

We were looking for somewhere different to eat and so pleased we chose Pasta Out. Extremely welcoming and attentive service, fantastic fresh pasta and nothing is too much trouble. Already booked our next visit to try more of the delicious menu.

This restaurant must have opened in Guildford about 18 months ago in early January 2019 and this was my first visit. It is associated with an excellent family pedigree of 2 other Italian restaurants in Guildford (Shardana and Blue Sardinia). Pasta Out does in fact make and supply the hand made pasta to all three restaurants. These restaurants together will really spoil you for a whole range of homemade Italian home cooking. You do need to be a bit persistent to find Pasta Out as it is set back from Swan Lane in a narrow entrance passageway. The restaurant is on the first and second floors of a cottage like building (no lift) and is charming, homely and cosy in atmosphere. I dropped in for lunch on Wednesday and was very impressed with the quality of the homemade pasta, great Italian friendly service and warm atmosphere. I ate the mushroom ravioli a had a rocket and parmesan side salad. The flavour and texture of the pasta ravioli were memorable and the rocket salad had a balsamic vinegar dressing that went well with both the peppery rocket and salty parmesan flakes. A rich and delicious chocolate fudge cake with a double espresso acted as the finale !! A thoroughly enjoyable and maybe even a bit of an indulgent experience. I won't hesitate to return in the near future. Well done to the chef proprietor and his team at Pasta Out and long may they continue in these uncertain times.

My husband had lunch today at Pasta Out and he was so impressed that he asked me to write a positive Tripadvisor review. It is my principle to only comment on restaurants where I have the first-hand experience, so out of curiosity we went there for dinner (apparently, my husband is happy with the fact that he can eat there twice a day). We were very warmly welcomed by Melo and he gave us the best table on the top floor. We ordered Burrata and Calamari Fritti for starters. The beautiful presentation and aroma made us wolf down everything without even thinking about taking a picture. Simple ingredients are artfully handled by the Chef, Ivan. For the main course, we tried the duck Pappardelle and goat cheese girasoli. Both have rich layers of flavours without being heavy. Our deserts are Tiramisu and panna cotta, recommended by our friendly and super professional waitress Julia. Each proves to be the perfect way to finish an extraordinary dining experience. The fact I know all the staff's name on my first visit is because this restaurant gives you a feeling that you are visiting your friend's home. Every dish is prepared, with care and true passion, exclusively for you. Ivan our chef checked with us personally what we think of the food. He was genuinely happy to hear that we liked everything we had. My husband and I feel relaxed even though eating out during the pandemic itself is a bit nerve-racking. We feel also reassured because all the staff have face shield visors with masks and the hand sanitiser is provided at the entrance. Social distancing is also strictly and responsibly followed. As we paid for the bill, Melo explained to us that the restaurant has an offer of five pound off for each person to thank customers who support them during such a difficult time. So what are you still waiting for?

Amazing experience dining here - the food was gorgeous, everything is homemade, good wine selection and the staff are welcoming, kind and warm - would 100% recommend for anyone in the area!

Had a great lunch with the bonus of Eat out to help out. The chef even trimmed the pig cheek in my carbonara as I requested it lean. Only complaint was the optional service charge of 25% added to bill was far too much. Clearly calculated before the discount taken off.

We are long term fans of Shardana & of the old restaurant Al Viccolo. This was our 1st visit to Pasta Out. A wonderful welcome, great atmosphere, superb food. I would highly recommend. The team were also very flexible for the vegetarian in the group. I would highly recommend a visit. The whole team were superb but a shout out to the Carmelo twins for looking after us so well!!!

We enjoyed our meal at Pasta Out on the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. The pasta was well cooked and seasoned, we would have preferred a bit more meat in the dish for the price. But on the Eat Out to Help Out scheme it was fine, however if I was paying full price I would have been more aggrieved. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was set up in a covid safe way. I would visit again if I had vouchers or money off as it seemed a bit overpriced for what was offered at full price.

Very good pasta! The chef even made adjustments to the main menu meals to suit our taste. In addition, we ordered some garlic bread (not on the menu), also the best ever. Highly recommend this place with great staff.

In this lockdown period it was an excellent diversion to spend family moments of excellent food. It is definitely the place where I have had the best food in Guildford. I can't wait to go in person to be able to eat with them with my family and thank them for the delicious food they have provided us at this bad time.

Having enjoyed pizza many times at Shardana, it is good to be able to continue doing this at home during the period of lock-down. Very good range of pizzas made with ingredients that are clearly fresh and of good quality. Enjoy authentic pizza and support a great local restaurant.

I had a pasta and pizza at home yesterday for lunch. I have to say it is one of the best Italian meals I have had here in England. The duck pasta was excellent with the flavors that went perfectly. The cooking, despite having been brought home, remained perfect and the tuna and onion pizza was fantastic, rich and thin, as I like it. Definitely, in this bad period it is a special option for making an excellent family meal.

My go-to place for unfussy Italian food in Guildford. Cozy little place with great food. Pasta is fresh and authentic and the dishes they make are simple and delicious. Craving to go back! Great that they also do takeaway! Really nice for a chilled quiet meal.

Can't fault this place, top quality for tiny cost! Fresh pasta and home made sauces, we have fallen in love with this place.

I had lunch at this cozy restaurant last week. I was really impressed by the goodness of the food. I took some calamari and a delicious homemade pasta with an excellent duck sauce. All fantastic. I'll be back soon to enjoy other dishes.

Penne al salmone e vodka, on the menu. I have not tried this combination before. Anywhere. It was excellent, and highly recommended. This is one of my favourite Restaurants, and I’ve never had a good meal here... it’s always fabulous !

After going to Blue Sardinia - also fantastic - the owner explained they also own this. The food is incredible and some of the best tasting pasta I’ve ever tasted! If you like the pasta at blue Sardinia they make the pasta here! Same pasta but much more low key for a casual lunch. Nice seating upstairs and on 1st floor. Pasta is melt in your mouth incredible. I love it! And you can buy their fresh pasta to cook at home!!! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely love this place. Have visited twice and both times have been amazing. Really wish more people would know about this restaurant as they absolutely excel at what they do. The pasta is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I like that they do some classic pasta dishes and other more special dishes. Have yet to try the non-pasta dishes but will definitely be back for more next time.

Hidden gem needs shouting about, great fresh pasta cooked perfectly washed down with quality italian wine. We will be back.

Excellent lunchtime/afternoon destination for taking out and/or eating in.

Had a lovely lunch here with my sister. A small menu, but seems authentic and different. The pasta is tasty, fresh and handmade (you can buy some to take away and cook at home), the service friendly and professional, and the prices very reasonable. I would definitely recommend seeking this little gem out!

Delightful Italian deli specialising in fresh pasta to go, plus a good variety of eat in dishes and good Italian coffee! I have just tried the fresh tagliatelle - my family really loved it. Definitely return. It’s quite hidden in Swan Lane (next to Snappy Snaps) but I’m so pleased I’ve found it. I’ll be back. It feels authentic, and tastes authentic. Thumbs up!

This a delightful italian run restaurant in the same premises where Al Vicollo used to be. You can eat-in, takeaway, or take home some of the fresh prepared pasta to cook at home.

Had lunch there today best pasta dish

Pasta that my friend and I have ordered was excellent! Wish the portions were slightly bigger but I believe they are adequate to the price. We have arrived half an hour before closing but the staff didn't have an issue with preparing food for us, they were very nice and welcoming. The place is cosy and warm, hopefully I'll have a chance to come back there.

Excellent pasta in a cosy 2nd floor dining room. My sausage and broccoli dish was really very good indeed, all washed down with some very nice Italian wine. From the people that own Shadana and Blue Sardinia, thoroughly recommended.
