Food was delicious and very amount of serving. The toilet problem was there is no toilet this restaurant.

I come to this place quite often, and the food here is very authentic and the price is quite friendly. The Sul Lung Tang is especially amazing and the honey soy fried chicken is also worth trying.

Amazing fried chicken! Plain was my favourite, but all of the options were great. I also highly recommend the kimchi pancakes, so good, and not that common. Price was decent. Also, the shop is very small, so it can feel cozy or cramped, depending on the situation.

Delicious fresh food. The Salmon Teriyaki I had came with a VERY generous amount of Salmon in it (no complaints) which was cooked to perfection. Topped with some asparagus and bell peppers which were also fresh and perfectly prepared/ cooked. Will defo be back.

Simple Korean food at reasonable prices. Order at the counter and food is served to your table. The fried chicken was amazing and is the speciality of the restaurant. The other dishes including the seafood pancake were also nice, but the star of the show was definitely the fried chicken. They have a limited drinks list and close very early, so get there before 9pm which is the last order!! Well worth a visit and value for money!

A small snack bar with a few tables for indoor dining. Since I had little experience with Korean cuisine, I asked the employee behind the counter for advice - but he was obviously overwhelmed. So I ordered the Korean chicken two ways along with kimchi and rice, which turned out to be a bit of a mistake. Despite the marinades, the thick batter tasted pungently greasy and the two side dishes tasted bland. Not a good calling card for the supposedly healthy cuisine that is served there. It's enough to saturate you; it is not a pleasure.

Ordered take out food, while drinking at the neighbouring Kerrera craft beer bar. Food was excellent, very tasty, prepared quickly, and service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The food tastes very good 👍 I ordered Sushi and Soup with rice and beef. the portion is large, very cost effective and the price is reasonable. room for improvement: Always very full during the lunch time at weekend, could have arranged better for those ppl don't mind to wait. food serving in a good time not too long. however if the server could be a little bit more smiling would be great.

Small quiet shop with a nice atmosphere. Food was good, my friend had a prawn katsu udon which was very nice. I had the beef bibimbap this time round, it was nice but would have been better if they used the traditional dolsot for the crispy rice at the bottom and the egg yolk was well done not runny. The previous time I had the pork and kimchi stew which was very nice, and the fried chicken is super nice, very crispy and covered in delicious sauces

Been going here for over a year and the only complaint I have is the price. For reference, it was £7.90 for chicken katsu curry around a year ago but now it's £9.90. To be fair, it's still incredibly enjoyable and tasty but I hope there isn't another price hike soon. March 2024 update: sadly prices have gone up again but I respect them for keeping the same portion sizes and being generous with food (at least with my usual) so I can't complain. Still highly recommend.

Genuinely nice and delicious food. We were the frequent and happy customers but never dine at the restaurant. The restaurant was always full partly due to the smaller seating area and partly due to its popularity. The grilled eel, honey soya fried chicken and prawn dumplings were all super yummy. The portion sizes were generous too.

The best chicken wings. 10 x better than kfc. Also very friendly staff and a genuine family run business.

The pictures are so good but the food is not as nice as we expected and it is put on paper plates and bowls. The portions were small. The fried chicken was over-fried therefore a bit hard and dry. Three of us were offered a two-seat table, and one of us needed to sit on an extra chair in the aisle where he blocked the flow of people walking around. And we were not eating comfortably.

It was so delicious that I went two days in a row. The stir-fried pork was so hot and the meat was so tender that I really enjoyed it. I wanted something spicy, but it was even better because it was cooked spicy with red pepper powder. It's not too sweet. It was the most delicious stir-fried pork I've ever had. It’s ironic that Korean restaurants in the UK taste better than those in Korea ^^ At first, a handsome bachelor took our order and started preparing the food right away. I told him that he was good at cooking even though he was young, and he said that his parents were upstairs cooking it themselves^^ When my husband and I heard that, we laughed awkwardly at each other. I thought other food would be delicious as well, so I packed some bulgogi gimbap and ate it at the hotel, and it was delicious as well. The life of kimbap is the quality of the rice, and it was so sticky and delicious^^ I guess he probably opened a restaurant in Korea because he knows the basics of Korean food well. I was shocked when my travel plans were canceled due to the sudden cancellation of my flight to Valencia at the airport, and I came to this place without a plan when my trip, which should have been fun, was full of stress. However, thanks to the friendly hotel and delicious Korean food, I was able to regain my mood to some extent. It was so delicious that I went back on the second day and tried to tell him that I had enjoyed it and wish him prosperity, but I couldn't see the handsome bachelor because he was busy. Anyway, I was grateful to be able to eat delicious food like a rain during a drought. I hope Hanki, which serves such delicious Korean food, becomes widely known to British and foreigners. ^^

Food was great. Tough to get the servers attention. Most tables covered with empty plates and leftovers. We had bimbap, honey soy chicken and egg fried rice. We were there on a Thursday night.

This is a place I often go to when I miss Korean food. In particular, spicy soy sauce chicken, stir-fried pork, kimchi stew, curry, and beef bulgogi are highly recommended.

Little bit of a long review, I found this restaurant when I started university I was so excited to finally find a place that did genuine Korean food, me and my best friend friend always FaceTime whenever I eat here so we can eat together because she’s always so excited to see me enjoying food from her culture, I cannot wait to bring her here when she comes back! it’s definitely worth the 30 minute walk from campus. The food is genuinely amazing, the honey soy chicken is just perfect, the rice is always so fluffy, the kimbap is never soggy, I highly recommend the miso soup too! The music is a bonus, everytime I go there’s always at least one of my favourite songs playing and the atmosphere is very calming, it may be small but it is definitely worth it and the portions are HUGE, this kimbap was enough for 2. Also the staff work really hard and are super helpful and kind he didn’t even laugh at my butchered pronunciation of the yangnyeom chicken so thanks for that. :))

Great Korean food made by Koreans.

So delicious! A new favourite for Korean / Japanese food, and we’ve tried many. Teriyaki Salmon and the Sweet Chilli chicken were incredible and portions are generous. Can’t wait to try more of their dishes!

Recent visit. Good service. Shame no physical menu on site - not by the order point or on the tables. So unless you know what you are ordering you would be lost. Menu available online but doesn't help if you are new to the place. Good food. Revisited last week, July 2023 - menu now. Food is excellent. Spicy chicken wings - hot, very hot, even for me. Rest of the food is good. When these guys are busy service would be slow. Understandable. Small establishment with only a few small basic tables. Could do with more staff. Be patient and you'll be rewarded.

Food was really really good. Haven't had much Korean food before, my first time trying bibimbab as well so wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but absolutely surpassed my expectations. Will definitely be having more Korean food again and will definitely be back too.

Amazing food! The main reason I love this place is the atmosphere and the really kind staff.

Normally we pop over to New Malden for our Korean treats but yesterday evening we went to meet JoJo at GLive. We needed something to eat. Ah Hanki - but will it reach New Malden standards? Wow. Totally exceeded! The Yang Nyum was exceptional. Crispy and just right amount of hint. Salmon Poke and Kastu Chicken were devoured. Well worth a revisit. Hidden off a passageway from Guildford High Street but well worth searching. Added bonus - takes card so you don't have to bring a load of cash with you. But the food is so tasty that you might need a bigger credit card!

This was a great place to eat and offered a lovely variety. The fried chicken was super tasty and highly recommended.

Very nice Korean restaurant in Guildford. We arrived there around 2pm and not very busy at that moment, we chose to sitting in outside cause the weather was very nice. We order salmon avocado poke bowl 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Taste very delicious and refreshing. The salmons are very fresh and delicious, mixing with the hot mayo sauce and it is perfect with the poke bowl! Very recommended for everyone. Spicy and soy sauce fried chicken (regular size) 🌟🌟🌟🌟 It is enough for 2 people to eat and taste amazing 😻 we love it and it is quite spicy 🌶️ if you love spicy food you will like it very much but if you can’t eat spicy you can choose sweet & sour or other favours and they are still good too. Seafood soups with tofu (with rice)🌟🌟🌟 Not many seafoods inside, basically you can see many tofu inside the soup and with some kimchi inside. A bit spicy but it is totally fine and delicious. All items with a reasonable price range and really recommend it! Definitely will come visit again.

Very decent place, nothing outstanding in terms of the food. The service was pretty quick given what we ordered, only had to wait around 10-15 mins. Would recommend the Korean Style Fried Chicken. However I wouldn't recommend the 'spicy soy' flavour. It is way too hot! Stick with Sweet Soy or Sweet Chilli. I wish the portion sizes with the sides were much bigger though. The egg rice is twice the value of the steamed rice but it is also twice the size in portion so it is worth it to get the egg rice. Also the seating is not the best in the restaurant, quite a small quiet restaurant.

Best Korean restaurant in Lapland and its only a short walk from the city center! Definitely recommend korean fried chicken lunchtime deal.

Ordered a poke and bibimbab, both were tasty and portions were good. Lots of toppings and overall healthy foods. A little pricey but worth it if you're looking for a healthy dish. Vibe was typical korean place, perhaps better as a takeaway than a restaurant.

Good food. Reasonable price. Hidden gem. Obviously not as fancy as other Korean it Japanese places but they have a good variety of dishes to choose from. Everything served with disposable stuff which may not be so good for the environment. Nonetheless, I still would recommend to try specially their poke bowls and bibimbaps! No toilets available for customers though.

Got really disappointed after trying ATTO (the other supposedly “Korean” BBQ place in Guildford). Decided to give this place a go. Happy to inform you that I have finally found some authentic Korean food in Guildford! Had 떡볶이 (rice cake), 참치김밥 (tuna gimbap), and 제육볶음 (spicy pork rice) which all tasted great. Definitely will come back to try out other dishes! It’s a cute little store. Doesn’t have many seats nor many staffs so may have to wait a little for them to take your order. But the food came came out in like 10 min.

Very highly recommended. A hidden gem for a quick Sunday lunch, or a dinner takeaway.

This Korean/Asian takway/resturant is decent, the food taste authentic, price is friendly. I wouldn't give it 5 stars, because the food is not top notch. But if you are looking for a quick authentic Korean style lunch, this is a much better choice than other so called Asian pokè places. I would come back again.

No service, wait long time. Don't let me eat in at 9.00pm (they close at 9:30) even I said I will clean the table. When I take food back home is all cold and make me to the hospital the next day.

So happy to discovered this small Korean restaurant hidden in an alley in the Guildford town centre. I’m a big fan of Korean foods and I’ve visited South Korean five times, so it’s great to find authentic Korean foods while I can not visit South Korea at the moment. I had the KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) with half spicy(It’s sweet and mild spicy) and half original, also seafood pancakes. They all taste really delicious. I can’t wait to come back again. Plus, the staff is very friendly, providing good customer service. I would recommend anyone who fancy some authentic Korean foods in Guildford.

Poor sushi rice and questionable salmon.

Have only had poke and sushi, but we are repeat clients cause they are good value for money, if you want a tasty but healthier takeaway. The prawn tempura poke is top! Call them up and collect if you can, cause the prices on deliveroo are a bit all over the place…

Had the Katsu chicken and spicy gyoza. Good points :generous portion of curry & rice, proper short grain rice, crunchy coated chicken, gyoza had some heat. But there was nothing to lift this meal. The chicken hasn't been marinaded for flavour, the curry sauce was unremarkable and the whole dish was crying out for some pickled vegetables... Or anything with a sharp taste to act as a contrast.

Had takeaway and food here is always great. Great hidden gem in the Jeffries passage alleyway.

Amazing food and very friendly service. They were very busy on Saturday lunch time, had to wait for the next available table but it was definitely worth the wait. Never had fried chickens that the meats were so juicy. I ordered a large size but it was too big portion for two of us as we had other mains and side dishes with it too. It is shareable between three or four people if you are sharing along with your mains. Easily the best fried chickens in town.

Delicious food, and fast delivery. I tried salmon and avocado poke and is so tasty but it doesn't have soya and wasabi sauce. Also we tried beef bulgogi and the beef is so tasty. I recommend to try the chicken wings.

An excellent little cafe, very happy with the fresh and delicious food. Only negative is that they had sold out of a number of the main dishes by dinner. Would highly recommend.

Both meals were tasty, I couldn't finish the KFC and had it packed as takeaway. Reasonably priced but don't expect stellar service

Very good food, I have long tried to find a place in the delicious Asian food and this is it! the rice they cook is the best that I have tried compared to other places, the sushi is very fresh and delicious. My favorite thing is Tokpokki, very tasty . We have already returned to the place several times and the quality of the food is at its best.

Excellent food in this little hidden gem! We've eaten in, and had takeaway, both have been incredibly tasty and authentic in flavours. I would much rather get food from here than a bigger chain restaurant. Very friendly, kind people working hard here. Thank you so much!

We order from here all the time, it's my favourite place! Best Kimchi jjigae! We've probably tried the whole menu and it's all awesome. If you want Korean food in Guildford make sure you try these guys, it's so authentic, and they're so friendly and efficient.

Poke bowls and bibimbaps are awesome

Tucked in a little lane away from Guildford's High Street, this is a Japanese and Korean food place with an 'ingredient pick and mix' slant, similar to what the Subway chain has done for sandwiches. One basically picks from the set menu, or you can choose the mix of ingredients you put into the 'poke bowl' dish. Most of the ingredients looks relatively healthy, and you have a choice of white or brown rice. For this first lunch visit, we chose the Salmon and Unagi (Eel) sets. Portions were ample and the prices are comparable to similarly sized-sushi sets you get elsewhere. Ingredients are fresh but sometimes sauces make it overly vinegar-ish, so perhaps having a separate sauce to add may be the way to go. Other than that, we observed other patrons ordering soup-based udon dishes, which looked attractive (the dishes, not the patrons). There is limited seating with just one row of seats facing the window (which faces the lane and a wall - so all you is a lazy stream of people walking past this alleyway). This cafe is more for takeaways and quick lunches, and the pricing reflects the former (i.e. it's more expensive if you stay and eat). Overall, both our dishes went down well. We would come back to try the soup dishes. A small, hidden gem of a place this one.
