The best restaurants in Town Epsom and Ewell South East

Nice staff but a well dodgy place.

Lived in Epsom 5 years never been here before tonight. Great service from Mendes, excellent food - my wife had ham and chicken pie and I had a lovely pork chop. Great beers to boot, thoroughly recommended. Apparently the oldest pub in Epsom going back to the mid 1600’s. Just a lovely evening. Thx Mendes, thx Ye Old Kings Head. We will be back!

The coffee I had was one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. When I politely asked the barista if I could exchange it, they responded with an attitude, telling me I shouldn’t describe the coffee as “horrible.” Instead of trying to understand my concern, they became extremely defensive. In the end, I just asked for a refund. The customer service was disappointing, and the barista’s behavior toward the staff came across as condescending.

Wow! I cannot believe how much in just a few years how Blacks has changed for the worse. A few years ago when I last visited I absolutely loved the food-the burgers were juicy and delicious. Yes a little bit more than a high street burger joint but at the time it was worth it. This evening’s experience has resulted in me never going to Blacks again. Over £50 for two burgers, two fries and two buds. The burgers were small and thin, the meat quality was poor and the cheese and bacon were nothing to write home about. The waitress asked if we needed any sauces and duly delivered a plastic bottle of mayo to our table covered in some other coloured sticky sauce! Lovely! Sadly, blacks are no longer anything special or a cut about any other burger joint, which they once were. Very disappointed by the food, the service and the overall experience. Really not worth the money. Sorry guys, just being honest here-you’ve lost my business

The branch in horsham is amazing

I was in Epsom for work, and unfortunately there aren't many hotels here, so it was almost mandatory to stay here. Be aware that the hotel is too dated and would need a major renovation, as it lacks any element of comfort. The bed is uncomfortable and too high, the room is not so clean but full of dust, the towels stink like hell, there is no brush to clean the toilet, the equipment is practically non-existent, no cap, body cream, shampoo, conditioner or anything else, just a poor shower gel. There is no soundproofing, so you can hear everything from the upper floor. In short, a nightmare stay.

Had a better range of food stalls as the Epsom Social, now only two stalls presently, hope this improves soon

It's just had a refurb. Basically the same but with some fresh paint.

Food was good 5 stars hot and sour soup was not good. Rest of food was good . Got 1 free beer for are wait .

I recently visited Sicily and ordered the Tiger Prawn Spaghetti, expecting a flavorful seafood pasta dish. What arrived, however, was a plate of spaghetti with just three tiny shrimp and a bland tomato sauce. The dish was nothing like what was advertised. When I politely raised my concern with the waiter, he dismissively said, “It is what it is.” A second waitress later admitted that the prawns were smaller than usual but didn’t offer a proper resolution. When I pointed out that there were only three shrimp, she seemed unsure of what to do and said” I don’t know”, then she reluctantly offered “a little bit on the side.” What followed was an unceremonious slamming of extra shrimp onto the table—hardly a professional approach. Between the misleading menu, underwhelming food, and poor customer service, this was a truly disappointing dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they improve both their food quality and attitude toward guests.

This was the worst takeaway we have ever had! The food was tasteless and it looked nothing like the photos. Not to mention that it was cold and the portions were tiny. I cannot believe we paid £45 for this....
