The food was excellent and we felt that all the staff were spot on. Many thanks for a lovely evening. I will say it was the best burger I have had in some time. Would highly recommend a visit.

Service for takeaway collection was abysmal. Ordered at home and husband went to collect at the given time (>45mins after the order v early evening). He arrived to find the order hadn't even been provided to the kitchen to start. Had already picked up kids food from elsewhere, so theirs got cold and spoiled whilst Black's caught up with the order. My husband asked for a partial refund to account for the other ruined food and additional parking he had to add to accommodate the delay, only to find the staff member shrugged (without apology) and said well we're only 10 mins late. No acknowledgement we'd ordered a hour before! Food was good, but this experience and rude attitude has put me off returning.

Went here with a my son and his friends to celebrate his 10th birthday . They got us a nice big table and managed to seat 10 on one table near the neon's ( which the kids enjoyed taking pics off !). As you can imagine lots of varied burgers were ordered , minds changed and then rechanged but the young lady serving us took it in her stride. The food came out in good time and everybody tucked in and enjoyed . We had some in the group that had special dietary requirements and they accomodated us . Special thanks to the manager or owner who gave us the free brownie and milkshake for my son.

A little unfair of me to say the atmosphere was not good because it was a Thursday lunch time. Food is good and a lot of gluten free available.

Been going here for years. The burgers are amazing! I also can’t get enough of the Korean wings. Would always recommend.

I had a booking on 28th March for my son's 14th Birthday. He does not have a Dad so this day is really important that it goes well as he only has his mum. I booked two weeks ago and was told as booking was for 9 people to pre order. I paid £20 deposit. I sent order on 26th March and then on 27th March and got no acknowledgement back. I Called on 28th at around 5pm (our booking was for 630) and Carlos said there was no e-mail of pre orders so to send to him which I did. We arrived and I told Carlos we were here and did he have any queries and he said no we were fine. After 30 minutes our starters had not arrived. I asked the kitchen and was told "no one told us you actually wanted your food" which was crazy because we had spoke to the head chef on arrival to check all was OK. We got our starters after 45 minutes and our main courses after 1hour and a half. Service was dreadful and the waiting and kitchen staff prioritised deliveroo and other on-line pick ups. When we ordered a drink at the till we had to await 15 minutes till it got to the table. For a burger! It was awful and totally ruined my sons birthday. What I am sad about is that we got a discount at the end but I would have rather paid full price and my son had an amazing birthday meal with his family and friends than get money off when the event was ruined when I did all preparation to ensure it went well. Am so upset and will not go to Blacks Burgers Epsom ever again

Standards dropped massively both in service and food. Not sure if there’s been a change of ownership but we didn’t recognise any faces in there back from the early days. We used to come here weekly. We even have our own Blacks Burgers T Shirts! Really not sure we’ll be back unless reviews improve. A few groans ; - overcooked chicken, really tough! - the bunless option used to be good but it really felt like the bottom of the bag dregs. - weird powdery banana gelato- inedible. - lady that took our dessert order decided to have a sit down after taking the order. So, 15mins went by so we had to ask someone in the kitchen to follow it up. The gelato came and then we had to wait another 10 and ask again about the brownie. Another lady finally completed it whilst playing on her phone (wow, hygiene) we were one of 3 tables left in the restaurant. - I saw another person complaining about service levels and others looking around for someone to bring them food which was saw waiting for some time.

10 of us had a table there on 6th March this year. We had contacted the restaurant before hand and they knew we were coming. We were told that it would be a wait of 45 mins for food as it was busy. This was not a problem and I duly ordered the 10 meals. After an hour and ten mins I approached the waitress and asked where our food was. She told me That the machine used for the order had not printed out the ticket for the kitchen so they had no knowledge of our order. She offered us free drinks but that was pretty pointless as we nearly all ordered the free soft drink refills. There was no communication from the staff about the delay until I approached them. Even though they could see we were just about the last people in the place and we still didn’t have our food. The staff had walked past several times. I sent a complaint via the websites contact page and as yet have received no reply. The food arrived 20 mins before they closed so felt rushed into eating it and leaving through no fault of our own. Have used Blacks for many years but this last experience has put me off going back. Food good. Staff and company communication awful

The young guy working today was lovely and was working really hard. There was only 2 members of staff on (not including kitchen staff), I feel a third was needed. We got there just before there was an influx of people, so it was a popular spot, the food and drinks just REALLY let it down. The food arrived before the drinks, and it wasn't even what I could describe as warm. The burger nor the chips. The 2 beef burger pattys you get are THIN and full of gristle. The milkshakes tasted super powdery and not enjoyable. We were hoping it would be a spot we would come back to, but, sadly the food really wasn't good at all., especially as lunch cost us over £50!!

Ordered via Uber eats. Paid for premium delivery. Food arrived within the allotted time. I appreciate food is never piping hot when it arrives but my delivery was inedible stone cold to the point I had to air fry the food to heat it up. Ordered skinny fries did not receive skinny fries instead I received soggy straight cut chips with a few skinny chips thrown in. Would not order again!

Yummy. Smash burgers generous with the sauces. Delivered hot. Keep up the great job. Finally a decent burger place around the area.

I ate here a while ago with my girlfriend. The burgers and milkshakes are exceptional! You essentially self serve with your drinks, but the staff and friendly and explain everything well. It’s not bad value, too, as you get meal package which includes the burger and side. You can also order for delivery. Probably the best burger bar in the area. Would recommend visiting if you haven’t already.

Took 2 hours to get a burger and fries and the refills machine took an hour to fix

90 minute wait for 3 burgers in 1/4 full restaurant (5 other tables) just so they can maintain their deliveroo commitments! How to destroy a great local business over night. I saw 3 other tables complain and one table got their money back and walk out. When the burgers did arrive the beef patties were cold and the buns hard, not sure how that last but is even possible as you have the steamer domes stacked up in your kitchen but no longer use them? Some things are worth waiting for, these aren’t, I give your burger 2/10. Really poor experience, we will not return. Either close the in-house sit down diner and do delivery only or SERVE YOUR PAYING DINERS!!! Will not return as this is the third time we have waited excessively and predict your business will be closed by Xmas 24 if you continue to make your customers wait this long.

Terrible experience - date night with hubby. Allowed an hour for a bite to eat waited an hour for the burgers below par and eventually had to take it out to make it to the film! Terrible customer service - really disappointed

Called to get a pick up meal. Said it would be an hour. After an hour I called and they said yes ready. Picked up and burger and chips freezing cold so has obviously been sat there and forgotten about. Called back and they said we’ll make new one and call you back when ready. An hour later I go down the restaurant and burger is sat on the side, no phone call. Food inedible. Giving the star for refund and apologetic. Pretty poor, 2 hours no burger.

Great burgers, well worth a visit

Lovely food and great atmosphere and just want to say how thoughtful it is that they have a basket of complimentary feminine hygiene products in their toilets which is very kind to look out for customers. Other restaurants should use your branch as an example of looking out for your customers.

I urge you not to eat here if you have expected food hygiene standards! I found masses of mould in the salad leaves that were given to me..this is completely unacceptable from a restaurant and I am upset this happened! 4 months prior to my visit, I came to Blacks and was surrounded by a smell of bins the whole time, as well as finding fruit flies all over the soft drink machine, and even a dead one in a straw I drank out of! This restaurant is disgusting and I feel sick each time i've gone. I will now never come back and I urge you all to do the same!

Blackburger used to be our favourite burger restaurant and we were excited to visit this place again after the renovation work. As usual, the burger was flavour packed and delicious but they changed the burger buns. Even though I had a brioche burn, it was dry and hard. I think it holds the burger ingredients better but overall it was rather disappointing. I am afraid we will not rush back to blackburger any time soon.

We are Long time customers Top guys as always today excellent burgers! Got my order wrong and gave the food and refund amazing service.

Would have given no stars but no option. We took our 6 year old for a treat. Restaurant was empty with only one table taken. Uncleared tables piled up and staff totally disinterested. Told to go and sit at a table. 15/20 minutes later, no menu, no nothing. Only customer in restaurant was invited to kitchen to photo/video her freshly prepared burger, very staged/suspicious and was obviously uploading to SM. It was a disgusting experience. We left, the standing around staff just smirked. Obviously happens a lot. Definitely avoid at all costs.

I arrived at 12.15pm and was meeting three friends for lunch, I was told that they were not open for a few minutes and I said thats fine I will wait for my friends and asked if I could use the toilet. I was told by a female staff member that there is a public toilet up the road ???. I said four of us are having lunch in a few minutes but she insisted I could not use their toilet. So our group went to a different place for lunch. Will never go back to this place.

We went on a Tuesday evening at about 6pm for our daughters birthday, family of four. We live locally and have used, and always enjoyed, Blacks and their burgers have been exceptional and never had cause to complain. They have recently had a refit, and it feels like it's removed all the atmosphere from the restaurant - I can't put my finger on it, but something was missing. The staff barely spoke to us, he gave the menus but no explanation as to what to do, not a real problem, as we've been before but a simple bit of conversation wouldn't have hurt. Once our food was delivered, he never came and said is everything OK, when he cleared the dishes there was no was that OK, do you rant a dessert. Just nothing. Once again there are no non-alcoholic beers on the app, so you spend ages loading your order on to the app and then have to go up to the till and order the drinks anyway... The temperature is the restaurant was close to freezing, to the point where it was uncomfortably cold. Both my kids wanted to keep their coats on, which doesn't make for a relaxed meal. Food was OK. Burgers were good, but not as amazing as they have been in the post, the beef was a bit tough in places, chips a bit cold and onion rings straight out of the freezer! And nothing was particularly warm, not cold but could have been alot warmer.. When it's over £150 for mains, puddings and drinks you just expect a bit more / but today we got a lot less.. Very disappointing and doubt we will return now. There are better places in Epsom to eat nowadays...

Grandson chose this restaurant for his birthday meal. Arrived approx 7.15ish. Ordered food, still waiting an hour and a half later for food to arrive. All the managers from Wetherspoons Epsom came in well after us and were served before us. Probably a step up in food for them!! When we complained we were told our order had not gone through to the kitchen which was all of 3 feet away!!!!. Absolutely a dreadful experience. So bad they refunded our money. Not a place to visit if you want a nice evening out.

We have used blacks before for dinning and delivery . We used the Uber eats app and was told a delivery time . This changed 5 times while we was waiting for our food to be delivered. The app also told use the delivery driver was there to collect our food. 45 mins later he was still there?!?!? We also paid for priority but our food turned up stoned cold. Our kids burgers was so over cooked that they had turned crispy and inedible . We complained online but didn’t even get a answer . Thanks for a £60 well spent

Blacks Burgers is mine and my partners regular date spot. Every single time we eat here we leave completely satisfied, incredibly happy and ridiculously full. From the first time we stepped foot in here the service has always been fantastic from start to finish. All questions are always answered, the servers are always super friendly, kind and just an absolute joy to be around. The kitchen staff, I don’t know how you do it but every single burger we’ve had has been beyond 😍 We are loving the re-model too and can’t wait to see when it’s fully completed. I recommend this place to everyone, and will continue to do so. Honestly I could just rave about this place all day!!!

Perfect place for a pre cinema meal the burgers were delicious we tried both chicken and beef burgers also plenty of fries and slaw staff very friendly and helpful explaining how to order the blacks way !

Went in and asked for a bacon cheese burger to be rudely told they don't do bacon like I'd asked for something insane. But yet they have bacon in their processed sauces. I used to love blacks burgers. Sad.

Best burger ever!!! Very generous size and amazing taste so worth every penny. Nice and quiet during lunch time even with some work going on on the other side of the restaurant. And most important lovely and very friendly service ☺️

Excellent food and service is good. Eaten here a couple of times, pleased with the food on both visits. It was quiet both times I went in, but probably not peak hours, plus there seemed to be a fair few online orders.

The food here is amazing I love the burgers the homeade sauces are the best Love the ice cream so much it’s so refreshing would highly recommend to anyone trying to find a good new eating spot for themselves or family 👌

They now use cheap shop bought burgers. Tasteless. Overcooked, dry and burnt. I used to love this place but I see them closing soon as they’re like every other basic burger restaurant. After telling them about the food, the response was they will take my comments onboard. Wings were good though. £70 for 3 people.

As burgers go there is a very good selection of creative ideas to choose from! My partner and I both immensely enjoyed our sizeable burgers. I would definitely go back again!

Delicious 😋 We all loved the burgers 🍔 First time we came here for lunch. The waiter showed us a table and gave us the menus. We didn’t know we have to order at the till or via the app. After a couple of minutes he realized we didn’t know and came to us to let us know how to order. The burgers came fast and they were super fresh and hot. We will definitely come back!

One of the best burgers I’ve ever tried. It has increased the burger industry into another level. If you’re looking for something for sharing, their burger is huge and the portion of the side fries is more than enough. It’s juicy and really yummy! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very disappointing last night, was told 40 min wait for one burger and some chips, almost two hours later no food, so asked for a refund. Was told this wait time is normal for a Friday night. Never ever will I get a takeaway from there takes too long, if it comes. Had to keep asking, at 40 min the burger hadn’t even been started, and I wasn’t even informed of this. One burger it wasn’t even a large order. Very disappointing.

Firstly, it was excellent service. Secondly, delicious food and the best burgers we've had for a long time. We will return soon!

If you are looking to wait more than 40 minutes for your food, even when the restaurant is less than held full (we only got it because we complained), eat frozen, tasteless fries and be served by staff who don't seem to care about working there, you should go. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it!

Service was good, friendly staff even when I realised that I ordered a burger with hot sauce and I can't eat spicy food to the point I think mayonnaise is spicy, and they still offered to remake the whole burger 😅. The burgers what can I say but OMG they were awsome, flavourful and great portion sizes that you will definitely feel satisfied 😌. Atmosphere was ok few songs on repeat but otherwise nice and chilled. Good family choice and easy on the wallet, all round great expierence.

We came here and we’re generously allowed to sit in with our calmly behaved dog. They offered water for him on a hot day and were very attentive to us. The food was yummy and the staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Milkshakes are out of this world! We are lucky to have stopped here.

Absolutely above and beyond! The staff is very polite from the moment I walk in till I leave. I also saw them helping an elderly couple with reduced mobility. Staff constantly checking with my experience and promptly available to assist. The food is well cooked and served in a nice plate. Cajun fries - haven't had such a properly hot chips in quite some time. Little Cheeseburger with vegetarian patty - vegetables taste fresh and the patty is juicy and flavourful just like their meat counterparts. Price is a bit on the higher end for a burger meal, but factoring in the service received is totally worth it. However I would wish they could come a bit faster next time. I'm definitely coming back for another visit.

They say once you go black you'll never go back. But I found stuffing the enormous blacks burger down my throat very satisfying. I would certainly like to experience taking that much delicious meat inside me again.

Quality food and drink at reasonable prices

They don’t care about people who eat halal food. I once asked to have no bacon in it and they accidentally gave me bacon. I asked for a new burger and they just took the bacon out and gave the same burger back to me. I recently ordered a veggie burger to my home for my young niece. They gave us beef instead and my niece was too young to realise and ate some of it. I was disgusted and extremely disappointed. This has happened multiple times in the past and they need to take more care with veggie and halal food.

I recently dined at here and I must commend Ben for providing exceptional service. His professionalism, attentiveness, and passion for creating a memorable experience made our visit truly outstanding. Highly recommended! The burgers were absolutely delicious and definitely worth the price! But what was absolutely outstanding was the fact that they provided free sanitary pads as well as a baby wipes for the nappy changing areas ! Been to a lot of restaurants but never seen such excellent customer service !

Food was amazing but the online app took forever and in the end reordered at till. Staff know that the app is not working and the visit was spoilt by sitting on the app to order. Milkshake did not arrive and had to go and ask. Chairs and tables can do with renewing and floors, windows and tables with a good clean. Restroom out of order and disabled ok.Staff seems only to be there to work and not to make visit warm and enjoyable. Leaving with mixed feelings.

Went for my first Blacks Burger last night and needless to say, it won’t be my last .. superb!! Everything was great from the wide selection on the menu to the friendly employees who were really helpful and gave good recommendations. The Blacks Burgers in Epson I recently visited with my girlfriend, left a lasting impression on me. The restaurant had a professional and inviting ambiance, and the service was prompt and friendly. The standout dish for me were the Korean chicken wings, which were simply amazing in taste and flavor. The burgers were also noteworthy, with a perfect balance of ingredients that made them truly delicious. The accompanying fresh fries were crisp and tasty, and the stunning milkshake was the perfect ending to a delightful meal. However, the ordering process using a QR code was quite annoying as the website was not functional. Sometimes, standard service when You can order at the table, it's just feel more comfortable. For two people with starter we have spent around £40 what is normal price, nothing overpriced. It's a fair price. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this burger place to anyone looking for a satisfying meal.

Great variety of burgers and veggie friendly - this is probably one of the best burgers (both meat and veggie) I have had. But, the star of the show was the lotus ice cream - I am still trying to find out who makes the ice cream - bravo, i applause you!!!

First time to Epsom and needed something simple and familiar... A burger. And a burger done very well. Choice of toppings, cooked well and refillable drink. And for a good price.

I went to Blacks Burgers last night - I do think that the Epsom venue was really good, however it seems to have fallen down in standards department in recent times - my food order was incorrect - the waiter then proceeded to tell me that i was in the wrong ( i had said that the burger had cheese on it) the food was bought back and i was rudely informed that this was in fact burger sauce - this was also not what i ordered ( its actually part of the optional toppings )- the food was then re-made and the burger was nice, the chips however i am not convinced were re-made, they tasted very dry and were not as hot as the original order - i question weather these where actually re-made. The overall experience would have been tolerable- however the waiting staff handled the situation incredibly poorly - they were unapologetic - they also didn't check that the re-made food was ok. ( it wasn't they had forgotten the BBQ sauce)

Nice location, the wings are okay, only wish they had would add more sauce to the wings, the king fu fries were lovely too but lacking in sauce, extra sauce is available but you need to pay. Ambience is great and not too expensive to dine in. Amelie was a good server and she made sure I had everything I need. Thank you.

Food is nice however the young lady behind the counter was rude and unhelpful, Isn’t friendly at all. Been like that a few times. When food came out it was all muddled up people were given wrong burgers. Very upsetting as come here a lot and thought I’d introduce blacks burgers to a few friends which also said they probably wouldn’t come again. Food is absolutely amazing however poor customer service for price of food. Shame as owner is a lovely man.

Ridiculous that they’ve even bothered as advertising with Uber eats and delivery companies, we’ve been waiting over an hour and a half for two burgers and chips… I know it’s not “fast food” but at the end of the day it’s still literally just a burger and chips. Only reason the review is not 1 star is because I’ve not had the opportunity to try it yet, but in all honesty I’ll probably starve to death before it arrives at this rate.

We ordered using their online QR code which the staff will push you to use.. I do not recommend using this! They didn't have the milkshake we ordered, claiming that they ran out of the ingredients to create it although it still gave us the option online to order.. They also didn't have vegan cheese for the 'Big Cheese' burger that we ordered. We were only told this development after waiting for 20 minutes for our food to arrive. (We were the only customers in the restaurant and we still had to wait that long!) No manager on shift when we requested to speak to someone that could resolve our issue. Employees have no leadership/ management figure to help them work through issues and this is clearly not acceptable. Will not be returning to this restaurant. I wish all the employees at blacks burgers success and a more helpful manager who is there for their team.

Love this place. Think we've been coming since it opened, has never disappointed. Free toppings on your burger, unreal milkshakes, and brownies that always make me too full ... Came last Thursday with an offer they run in the midweek for dine ins. Was very busy, but still had the same experience: I had an american bacon cheese beef burger. Added fried onions (crispy), burger sauce, gherkins and mustard / My lovely lady had a Korean buttermilk chicken ... biggest headache here is whether to go for the beef or chicken? Parmesan fries which were OMG and a biscoff shake (she had a white choc) Burger side and drink deal was £12, with an extra £1 for the milkshake. Crazy value ... always loved it, and never got around to reviewing. Oh and FYI, we order deliveries probably once a month, but always worth going in. Nothing beats straight out of the kitchen (deliveries still bang) Thanks guys, we'll be back soon xxx

Quite disappointed this time. Food was not as good quality as it used to be. It used to be a 10 out of 10 restaurant but I feel that the standards have dropped. The burger was average. Bun was freezing cold food was just on the warm side. Chips were okay. Biggest let down was the mayonnaise and tomato ketchup extremely cheap quality.

Not as nice as it used to be and .got fed up with the staff. Keep coming up to the table and asking if you're all right. At least five times ketchup and mayonnaise was bland cheap mayonnaise and cheap tomato sauce. It's a shame because it was good but not no more

Went here to try a burger rather than pizza express. A bit fast food-ish but we all found the burgers to be absolutely delicious which was a very pleasant surprise. The only let down was that we had quite a wait as they seemed to prioritise on the constant stream of delivery riders catering for the home dining brigade. When the food finally arrived we had very attentive service indeed. All very good and low cost too.

Always the best burgers and best service, come here pretty much every month and it's always spot on

we got take a few times during lock-down, and was recently able to find an evening to eat in, since everything opened up again. Really delicious burgers! the staff were great in helping us with small children, and very attentive! small points, but if I was to flag a few things, the slaw was average, and could do with a re-think. timing of delivery of our food could be a little better. Fries seemed to sit on the shelf for a while before the burger was ready and the food came out. Clearly have excellent food here, so eating-in should blow people's socks off with these small tweaks.
